Paul saying 'the negative self talk needs to stop' is actually so sweet! Often we don't even realise we're doing it, so nice to look out for each other
Wow, I don't think I've ever watched something on TH-cam that was longer than 30mins. Absolutely gripped for 2 hrs, I could watch it again! what an amazing, honest, raw interview! Massive respect for Maura ❤
Maura is so wonderful and authentic. As an Irish woman in her 30s I am so self critical and don’t notice until I am told by others, similar to this. It was like listening to a therapy session. She deserves all the positivity that comes her way. Well done, Paul. Amazing listen!
when he stopped her and mentioned her self criticism, I genuinely said outloud... most Irish women(and men) will always slag themselves off first, before someone else can! I was on call with a friend earlier, talking about wanting to join the gym but I'm a "lazy, greedy fecker"... its definitely an Irish thing!
definitely a defensive thing.. I’ll get there before they can comment on me. Wouldn’t have a clue how to change that and the even trying the affirmations would just give us an excuse to say.. you’re shite at them too 😂
@@kerribyrne2410This is what I took away from that, she tries to say first the things that she thinks people are thinking to show them that she is self aware.
You can tell she's a genuine soul. Anyone who doesn't see that, has their OWN demons that they project onto her likely out of envy, jealousy or their own insecurities. Maura gave me nothing but confident, vibrant, real vibes. So I feel for her and what she's had to go through when people seem to just misunderstand her.

Who would have thought Maura had been through such traumatic things in her life. She hides it very well. Glad she’s spoken and talked about her life. I’m sure she feels better for it. What a brave and strong woman. Couldn’t stop watching. Paul has such a way about him too. Great interview
Wow, I liked Maura before, but I love her even more now. Huge credit to her for being so honest and vulnerable. Paul, as always, was brilliant at making his guest feel so comfortable!
Paul you provide such a beautiful safe space to allow people to talk and let go of so much built up fear, anger, sadness and pain. Maura thank you for being so honest and open , what a great watch xxx
Wow! Paul you have the purest, most beautiful soul. The way you articulate everything you say is extremely powerful and a gift to anyone receiving it. I can't get over Maura's strength, i'm in awe. What an incredible conversation.
2mins in and I already know this is pure gold. Love her. Bless her! - nearly 10 mins in and RELATABLE. When someone speaks their truth it is so healing and liberating for those of us still finding strength in our voice.
I have to say, it was an absolute delight. Maura's personality shines through in this episode, and her humor is both refreshing and relatable. She has this incredible ability to make serious topics feel accessible and engaging, which I found really inspiring. What struck me the most was how genuine Maura comes across. From the moment she starts speaking, you can tell that she's not just putting it all on, she's sharing her true self and Her stories and insights are not only entertaining but also resonate on a personal level, making you feel connected to her journey. It's clear that she has a big heart, and her endearing nature makes the podcast an amazing to listen watch. Overall, this episode has only reinforced my admiration for Maura Higgins. She’s funny, inspiring, and incredibly genuine x x
Maura is so strong and seeing her this vulnerable only makes her appear that much stronger. This alone was brave and there is a deeper courage she was able to meet within herself doing this, potentially. It is definitely how it appeared to me. Also major credit due to the interviewer, Paul, for amazing questions/ guiding of the conversation and creating a safe space.
This interview helped me. I feel like I was on the journey of how I speak about myself, trust issues, relocating….. SUCH A GOOD INTERVIEW! Maura is a strong woman & deserves all the success

I love Maura-always found her to be so funny and down to earth. Also shout out to her friend from Ireland who saved her. Love Paul being so caring and a safe space for her to talk about all of this
A refreshing interview, I can identify with her as an irish person growing up in rural Ireland . The school, the neighbourhood and the expectations put on you by family. All so damaging, that you believe you are not worthy. Talk therapy helped me to see this and shift my perspective of self. You simply want to run from it all as if you don’t comply, you don’t fit in and become alienated. It’s better to stand out than accept societies narrow vision of life!! Good for you Maura, do what makes you happy!!💯💯💯💯💯💯❤️

Between how he treated Arabella on All Stars and his seeming coercion of Maura into a relationship followed by degradation after the breakup, Chris Taylor really comes off as a fake 'nice guy' who feels entitled to and then hates women when they don't comply.
Yes! I was shocked when I saw Chris Taylor on All Stars. Then his rambling on the Love Island podcast this year, not letting others get a word in. Also shirtless on a podcast with guests. Why??? I really hope LI producers revise how they do things, and show how beautiful people like Maura and Mimii are. I’m glad Maura got the LI USA gig with Ariana.💓
Absolutely loved this interview, I related to a lot of what Maura said and send her so much love. Paul you are a refreshing interviewer, so calm and collected and would love to be on your Podcast one day; completely open and ready to share it all!
I attended a catholic primary in London, my experience is similar & has haunted me for years; the abuse was atrocious. To this day i don't know why i was never removed from that environment.
It was just so accepted. Don’t know if you’ve seen Cillian Murphy’s new movie, based on a book - those Magdalene laundries were in Ireland until the late 90s. It’s mind boggling what is just allowed and accepted by a society.

She is great strong and resilient. Loved this interview.
Love Maura, it's sad she felt like this 😢 good for her speaking, so honestly ❤
You Maura, you are such a good person, honestly never thought you went through so much ... virtual hug to you
I will always loveeeeeee Maura ❤ so much respect for her for this interview. I really hope she’s okay deep down. X
Between how he treated Arabella on All Stars and his seeming coercion of Maura into a relationship followed by degradation after the breakup, Chris Taylor really comes off as a fake 'nice guy' who feels entitled to and then hates women when they don't comply.
I think he is g.a.y
CT is on the other bus..I think..
This is the first time I haven’t put a video on 1.5 speed. Oh Maura, what an incredible woman
What a great podcast!! Love maura thank you paul for this ❤
I attended a catholic primary in London, my experience is similar & has haunted me for years; the abuse was atrocious.
Wonder interview Maura is a beautiful person inside and out...well done Maura keep being your true authentic self...love from Athlone ❤
Loved it, love Maura, she was more than I thought. Such a genuine down to earth person. She deserves the world. Peace & Love 💜
