It's the "good cop, bad cop" routine. Except, instead of being interrogated for trafficking rocks to the community, I'm getting dank combo tutorials and player retrospectives.
Necro is my favorite character in Street Fighter. I think players think of him as a low tier character that wins from lack of knowledge, but I think he can be just as cheap and strong if the execution and mix-ups are in the players repertoire. I didn't dive too deeply into Necro's corner game or combos because I think many Necro players share the tricks that make him strong. As I watched more footage, I found that Sugiyama uses tricks in the Neutral game that set him apart from the rest. I hope I was able to showcase that in this video. Keep playing, watching, and creating 3rd Strike. -Frankie
As a Necro main I can safely say people who call him trash are just dead wrong. Necro punishes you for getting close. Necro punishes you for staying away Necro can punish in the god damn air. I love Necro. I play SF3S religiously against people who know Necro and know how to play the game and I still snuff a dub pretty often. And like Sugiyama said himself "In a world with nothing but Ken Yun and Chuh mains it's good to see something else"
I never could get a proper feel for Necro, so huge respect to those players that make him shine, he's definitely scary in the right hands. 3S and MF Doom go together like cheese and wine!
I'd love a video on Haitani. I think he's easily the best Makoto player around and he plays in a more "basic" way than cr.LK Tominaga or the technical Mimora. I want to say it's his decision making that puts him above the other makoto players. He always manages to clutch it out regardless of the situation.
Frankie you been doing really well with these vids! I don't play Necro (despite my pfp lol) but I do really like Sugiyama's Necro, so you breaking down his Necro makes m enjoy his Necro more so than when I came into this vid!
electric being a special is part of what makes it so cool. most pokes and jump ins are normals so despite it having no invulnerability (except right on top), if electric comes out sooner, it's active however long necro wants and if the other (non-heavy normal) move intersects it, the electric wins. an important note: only fierce electric has no gaps. the others turn on and off, meaning it's possible for a move to sneak between active frames and hit necro. also, nice vid!
I'd love to see a video on Twelve. I've been messing around with him on the 30th Anniversary Collection for a while now. I usually play Chun-Li, Akuma, Sean, or Elena, so it's a nice change of pace. He's terrible for a lot of reasons, but he has a few strategies. His standing MK has pretty fast recovery, can rack up a surprising amount of stun, and combos into both XNDL and XFLAT. His standing MP has much more reach than it looks as well. EX NDL costs a lot of meter, but it works well as an anti-divekick/crossup tool. XNDL gives Twelve invincibility on his upper body. If timed well, it will let you dodge and counter projectile Super Arts like Denjin Ryu, SA1 Akuma, SA1 Sean, etc. It will also go through Aegis Reflector and beat out Electric Snake. It can also counter SA1 Remy, but you need to be mid-range and trigger it before the second wave of projectiles come out. Above all else, beating opponents with clever spacing and sheer confusion is _immensely_ satisfying.
Ikego/Sei/TAX = Elena KO/Furo/Koudai = Yang Ushi/Yakkun/SHO = Yun Nuki = Chun (since his play style seems very different from other chun) Higa/Atsushi/Blue = Ibuki Koro/Thanatos/Inoue/Mr. Mikami = Oro Genki/Kazuya = Alex (both play very different)
this series is amazing. Do all the characters, i beg you. and after you've done that you can go prestige and do all the characters again with different players :p
Tricks and deception are as key to being a good player (with characters like necro especially) is as key as knowing button ranges and hit confirms. While necro may look more like Dhalsim he really ideally plays more like a Blanka with Dhalsim options. I'd love to see a really good elena player or maybe the twins? Dont remember of you've done a video on yang or yun haha.
IMO, no unfortunately. The scariest Necro is scarier than the scariest Urien, but you can't relax against any level Urien because of what the character can do from things like random headbutt, tackle, or throw from anywhere on the screen.
I use akuma to fight strong necro players online in fightcade....i just keep playing cheap ass runaway , hit and run and not give him a chance to land his setups on with me with his SA3. He is really annoying and hard to beat in the right hands.
finally frankie got his hacked account back from that weird memey urien
I’ll be back.

I remember Kuroda had said Necro with two bars is a high tier character.
@@flaredontcare lmao I miss you. Come out to NL when its safe and show me that mid-tier Yun.

The way i recognised the beat immediatly just makes this video perfect
I've never clicked on a video so fast. A video of my main and its a DOOM beat? Keep up the good work dude.

@@pauldepping2536 Doomsday by MF Doom, awesome song.

Come on, RX is a must !
Bravo & well done. Thanks for the knowledge.

Fire.
Love this, I've been playing a lot of Third Strike lately and these tips will help out. Really hoping Necro shows up in the next SF game.
THANK YOU
Damn, Doomsday is one of my favorite songs. Great taste.
Love these!!!!!
Amazing video as always
FIRE breakdown brother
I'm just gonna say it... RIP MF DOOM!
Awesome channel, awesome content !!!! 3rd strike rules !!!!
Hey nice video. Starting to pick up Necro and this is invaluable. Chill music also
All of this is super good stuff.
One thing to note is that left-right 50/50s can be option selected in Third Strike by tapping 4 or 6.
Doesn't work that well on crossups and it opens you to lows, which necro can hitconfirm sa3 from
Love these videos
good shit, as usual, as always expected
As a new 3s and necro player, thank you!
This one was fantastic
I would really like to see RX
good tunes. good commentary. good game. 3rd strike.

Could you cover ibuki? Such a fun character to watch and lots of ways to play her! Would love to see your thoughts!
i'd kill to see yama's twelve up here one day. dude makes twelve look like a good character at times due to how well he can just run the mix

I'd love to see some Oro... Dirty's would be nice :D
kuroda too
Nothing makes me happier than watching high level 3S with a DOOM soundtrack
Agreed
Especially when it's my favorite character to play in all fighting games, Necro.
RX and Dirty Music or Inoue (Oro) would be dope. These are S tier content. Keep it up~!
man this guys necro is just insane. He beat RX in a FT 10 which is crazy.
Man, I want you to do Kuni and Mimora now that I know you're still active with the Film Room.
This video is fucking fire! Thanks so much for making it!
Yakkun!
Necro fights are very entertaining, especially when Sugiyama or PinoAB7 play :)
Now im really interested on playing Necro, he just looks so cool
also based first song choice
Ikego/Sei/TAX = Elena
KO/Furo/Koudai = Yang
Ushi/Yakkun/SHO = Yun
Nuki = Chun (since his play style seems very different from other chun)
Higa/Atsushi/Blue = Ibuki
Koro/Thanatos/Inoue/Mr. Mikami = Oro
Genki/Kazuya = Alex (both play very different)
No roshihikari love for seiei yang?
@@essgeekay8091 That might take a 2 hour video :P
@@Shodokan123 o u right
DOOM IN THIS

Thanatos Oro!
Yo you got anything for Elena by chance?

would the parry-block OS be effective against the ambiguous cross-up drill setup?
maybe, but Necro could still do something like c.lk xx lp elec xx SA3. Parry - block OS will get eat up by that
@@christiannelson3416 empty jump cr lk or whiff drill cr lk

Roshihikari perhaps...?
What's the name of the 2nd song?
fohstick a was checking comments to find out too..

Can we have an Elena player breakdown, please?

:o
Do you consider necro as strong as urien tier wise?
IMO, no unfortunately. The scariest Necro is scarier than the scariest Urien, but you can't relax against any level Urien because of what the character can do from things like random headbutt, tackle, or throw from anywhere on the screen.

Necro would been a better pick then Sim for SF6 but whatever
