Many parallels with mine Andrew. Dividing my time up between some teaching work, a bit of physio, I'm 70 with a few old injuries haunting me, personal interests, domestic chores and quality time with my 16 year old black and white foxy who bears an uncanny resemblance to Dougal with flecks and spots but a little more black on him like Ted. He gets a run on the beach most days or up the river and along bush tracks. He pesters me if he thinks he might miss out. ( he never does.) The Outer Hebrides looks like a great place to live. Keep well.
Really enjoyed your video! Would love to get your recipes for pasta goo and your tea bread! I think I can rewind and get all the other nutritional additions you added to breakfast and snacks. Thank you again for sharing a normal day in your life! Oh, forgot the soup! Would love your recipe for your lentil soup!
Thank you for sharing Andrew. I find your videos so calming and restful. You live in a beautiful place with your dogs and you are totally in charge of your life. May it continue my friend.
Thank you for sharing a day in your life. Loved Dougal “The Blanket Monster” and Ted was so cute running back to you on the beach. Absolutely stunning scenery.
Thank you so much, Andrew, for that video - I loved it! Ted is an absolute darling and I'm so impressed how you are managing Dougal as top dog. You live in such an exceptionally beautiful place and I thank you for sharing the beaches with us - it was a treat.
Gosh I did enjoy that , nothing boring about your life Mr , D. , you're a busy man , keep off the statins, and B/P tablets , road to no town , great diet, I've just spent past few weeks getting off strong medication I've been on for 4 yrs for Polymyalgia, not easy but getting there , Morphine has been the worst !!! Great vlog , well done , great place to live and work , I was exhausted by lunchtime , great to be fit, and healthy , loved the suitcase train you had before , clever people ,very talented !! Hugs
Thanks Andrew, that was really good and interesting insight to your life. Although Dougal did look as though he almost smiled in the closing moments of the video😂. Best wishes Paul & Sarah
You have chosen such a beautiful place to live and share your time with your pups. Thank you for taking us along on a typical day. Very lucky with the wonderful winter sunshine 😃 Safe travels, Trev n Sue
A lovely day in your life, I think you sleep well because sweet Dougal is on your bed. My Coco sleeps on my bed and is a great comfort to me. Love to all 3 of you. ❤❤❤
I can't start my work from home day without: 1)short workout; 2)short run; 3)17 yr old senior dog walk w tumbler of coffee/tea and a pocket full of poopie bags
My little dog would love that beautiful beach and have a big smile on his face for sure! Thanks for the lovely calm routine day which i found so calming. My eldest brother died at 80 yrs this week sadly and never stopped moving ever so i am determined to enjoy relaxing fun times just enjoying simple pleasures rather than worrying about awful things like money and house reno. Have lovely day and really enjoyed this video!
Happy to see your settled in Scotland in your lovely home...after those years of shift work you deserve it...would love to see how your day is when it's blowing a gale and raining buckets out side.♥️🇳🇿
Really enjoyed the day in your life Andrew. Video camera work was brilliant! A peaceful and tranquil life for the 3 of you and very very cosy! Enjoyed every minute x
I’m impressed with how well Ted has learned to fit into your & Dougal’s life. And I’m so glad you’ve found a diet that helps you control your health issues, something I try to do each day as well. Look forward to each upload!

Thanks you for your insight into a day in your life. We loved the routine and simplicity of your day. Living a hectic life I would love to have the peace and rhythm you have in yours. Thank you for sharing that video it was really enjoyable and encouraging.
Apart from the wonderful beaches your typical day reassuringly sounds a lot like mine! Since I retired I find I still don’t have time to do all I’d like as domestic chores and gardening take most of my time. I don’t know how I survived when I worked 50 hours a week.
How wonderful it is to live there. It looks peaceful, serene, beautiful and tranquil. Please upload more of these videos or I'll just have to move down there with you! 😊♥️😊♥️😊
Wonderful video! Love how the pups have such a supportive and loving home! Dougel (sp? ) looks as if he has much energy now and moves great! And Ted is really growing up and maturing! My blue healer suffered an intentional neurotoxin exposure, so her capacity to move was reduced. But she is slowly recovering. I tried many things but diet has made the most difference! I love diet as medicine! You have found a good place to thrive! Best to all of you including the sweet guardians (dogs) which travel your path with you!
Forgot to mention- one very helpful addition to my pubs healing diet and my own, has been making a special wheatgrass juice. You can grow the wheatgrass in the kitchen. it’s beautiful. Then clip 2/3 cup, but in blender with 1/2 apple, and cover 2/3 with natural spring water. Blend, and push through a tea strainer to a tract the juice. I add some organic chicken or miso broth for my pup. And a tsp of organic coconut oil. She loves it. And it restores the mitochondria. So it is amazing. Energy abounds! For myself, I leave out the broth, and add a squeeze of lemon. tastes wonderful!

Thank you for sharing an average day in the Outer Hebrides. A different type of life that we have, but very nice to see. Also the food you use is different than our food in the Netherlands. What i see is that you look after your self very well and also the dogs. Thanks again for your way of life!❤
Fab! I wouldn't mind you teaching us how to make tea bread, also there is a family company in NI called British supplements, you might like to check them out. They have no 'nasties in' and I take their vit D with K2 supplement which is really good. Those dear dear dogs, such a blessing. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the glimpse into your average day and for sharing some details regarding your health. I too struggle with high blood pressure and wish I had a beach like that outside my house. Your lifestyle is better than any prescribed medication. Good luck and I’m looking forward to more upcoming videos 👍

Great to share a day in the life of Andrew. We all have routines and not many of us could say it’s all glamour. Thanks for sharing Andrew! A day such as you shared makes for contentment, especially sharing it with Dougal and little Ted. I’ve said it before and will say it again, you have chosen to live in a special spot away from the maddening crowds.👍🏻😊
ok try this again messed up the first message. Awesome loved the video it was smooth and easy to watch like a glass of fine wine. Loved how sweet you are to the dogs, lovely. Your average day is incredibly calm and refreshing in a world that seems crazy. Enjoy Mr. D. You do seem to have a real nack for videos. I would love to see more of the Hebrides, those out of the tourist areas. I may never get there your video gives me a feeling I've at least seen the area and its' beauty. Keep up the great videos and don't entertain the idea that many of us are not really enjoying them. All the best from Liebe(my Komondor) and me on, "The Rock", or better known as Newfoundland. Rockin it her blahahahahah
Lovely video again Andrew, any chance you could maybe do a video on your recipes please, this is my cup of tea, inspired me to have a lifestyle change thank you ❤
At about 10:45 it looks like you have 4 separate drives, I assume for additional storage. Have you considered a NAS? They give you wired or wireless network access to all the data, with redundancy. I use a 5 bay Synology with 4 functional drives and one spare (which I’ve not needed yet), yielding a 43TB redundant storage. Loose a drive, no data lost.
Yes they are, but I archive everything twice in case of failure (which one of these has). I have no idea what you are talking about after the first sentence Erin! ;@)
@@andrewjditton - LOL! NAS = Network Attached Storage. It is a series of raid drives with software to streamline and make maintenance, redundancy, and data integrity. They are a simple, cost effective way to store data. Your drives are either mirrored (writes to both simultaneously) or you do that manually. Let’s assume each of your drives are 4 TB, so mirrored two drives are still just 4 TB, the other pair also the same would equal 8 TB, but you’re using 16 GB of drives. With a NAS, you only lose 1 drives capacity, so your total storage would jump from 8 to 12 TB. Lose a drive, pop a new one in (assuming you don’t have a hot spare) and it automatically rebuilds the data. They are relatively cheap, I bought mine for $300 USD used. And put in 5 12 TB drives, one is a hot spare, the other 4 provide under 48 TB of space, which I split between my systems (less the drives system files)
So there you have it. Proof that my life is just one huge rock n roll party! 😂
Thanks Andrew🤜🏻 keep up the good work.
Love it, but could you please keep it down? We can hear your music in Texas. 🤣🥰
