    I have two of these toilets and have the exact same problem. This video is the ONLY resource I've found across the entire internet that shows this gasket. I'm in the U.S., so I'm hoping I don't have to order from Australia to get this $1.50 gasket. So far, I haven't been able to find a U.S. supplier...which is astonishing. I can't believe it's this complicated for a simple rubber seal.

      Hmmm, a bit late I know, but might be easier to swap out valve for another one perhaps? Anyway good luck !

    First and only video I have found specific to my toilet. Thanks. Very helpful. Especially the comment about the Performa washer from Reece plumbing. Never did find one at Bunnings.

      Yes, Bunnings don’t have everything … yet! 😀

      I assume you mean the turquoise color float fit thing? I have the same problem, I ended up taking it out and the flush works just fine however I’d like to put it back. I’m unsure of its purpose

      @@Sodainspace that's the one I gather its to do with the half flush, as you say it works fine without it, so like you I have thrown it out

      Go to Reece Australia and ask for a Performa Seating Washer Reece no 1842842 about $6, the washer is red, and reece is the distributor for the ageing Porcher ,Performa has some alternative products for improvement, hope this helps

      No worries Andrew - glad it helped! Thanks to other replies for the part number - Yes it was a Performa washer for Porcher Cistern outlet from Reece Australia. I have had some trouble with these new washers sticking after installing! Thinking that maybe some of these have been on the shelf for years! :) Cheers, Stu

    Do you have the part number for the red replacement washer?

      A Performa seating washer part number Reece No.1842842 worked for me. As for finding a manual for the valve; you must be joking! Reece is the supplier in Australia for Porcher (Ideal Standard) toilets.

    I have the same system, can’t find any info anywhere, thanks for this video. Would you know what is the purpose of the turquoise colored float thing that’s attached to the bottom of the valve ? Mine came off and keeps falling off now everytime I flush so I had to remove it completely. The flush still works without it so I’m unsure of its purpose

    • @stuatbendigo
      @stuatbendigo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha, that’s funny because I did the same thing. Mine kept coming off too. But I couldn’t work out its purpose either! 😀

    Where did you get the washer

      Reece Australia or make your own - I am experimenting with silicon right now as I am finding the Performa brand which is the replacement is not "Performing"! It is sticking - even after a thorough clean of the seat that the washer sits on - on inspection the Performa washer is breaking down - either rubbish material or been on the shelf for years or both! So far the silicon washer i made from a silicon food storage bag IS performing - early days tho.
