Comedy isn't there just to make people laugh though. It has an obligation to *make* us feel uncomfortable too. Subjects that are too volatile, controversial or contentious to even discuss, can be turned into comedy. People's instinctive way of dealing with horrific subjects like war, death or disaster is to joke about it. To be able to laugh about a subject is usually the first step in examining something we don't want to discuss *at all*. We sit there and squirm, and feel uncomfortable. Exposed. Especially if we're the butt of the joke. No-one likes to be the butt of the joke. But no-one is expected to. When the joke's on you, you're not expected to find it funny. That's the deal. They're jokes. No subject or person must ever be so sacred that we're not allowed to makes jokes about them. Beware the man who never laughs.

I love Bill Burr contents, this dude is definitely right about majority the topics he speaks on. White or black when the truth is televised those who speak about the truth are disliked or discredited. This is a intricate and very very hilarious dude. Bill Burr. I think he comes only after likes of Dave Chappelle and D.L. Hughley. He's freaking hilarious. The real skill is in being able to joke about any topic without being offensive at the same time and poking fun at the truest of ironies in our lives. We can all laugh at that. And he is equal opportunity. He comes at all races. So I love him...We all need to be able to laugh at ourselves at some point in our lives.

There always seems to be some form of truth to what he's saying but because it's so not PC you don't know if you should laugh or not. Comedy doesn't make me uncomfortable. It's comedy. It makes me laugh.
Comedy isn't there just to make people laugh though. It has an obligation to *make* us feel uncomfortable too. Subjects that are too volatile, controversial or contentious to even discuss, can be turned into comedy. People's instinctive way of dealing with horrific subjects like war, death or disaster is to joke about it. To be able to laugh about a subject is usually the first step in examining something we don't want to discuss *at all*. We sit there and squirm, and feel uncomfortable. Exposed. Especially if we're the butt of the joke. No-one likes to be the butt of the joke. But no-one is expected to. When the joke's on you, you're not expected to find it funny. That's the deal. They're jokes. No subject or person must ever be so sacred that we're not allowed to makes jokes about them. Beware the man who never laughs.
