I just will never feel comfortable putting time into labbing a game where there’s basically no one playing it and no local tournaments at all anymore in my area. Even the online tournament scene is drying up because lots of competitive players are dropping the game. It’s okay to like and enjoy the game 100% but without a doubt it’s a dead game with a patch said to come after Street Fighter 6 and Guilty Gear Season 3 launches, not to mention DBFZ and GranBlue are getting rollback it’s like why would you ever choose to play DNF

Honestly I was really hoping for no dlc. Because dnf duel feels like the most mid 2000s ps2 era fighter but with online . It’s a shame that now these days game must be pumping out new stuff every two seconds or it’s a dead game like remember the old days when game was out with online and people didn’t care about dlc / new content they enjoy the game for what it was now every game must be pumping with dlc or the game goes to a forgotten wast land.
Good video. Yeah, Nexon's actions handling this game were slow and not great, but any dungeon Fighter online fan knew that going in. For the FGC it is a dead game. Guilty Gear Strive is going on season 3 after the final character of season 2 is release in the summer, King of Fighters XV is getting crossplay and has 5 more DLC characters just around the corner, Street Fighter 6 is coming in less than 2 months with the first DLC character dropping right after that, Melty Blood Type Lumina teased a season 3 pass in the new updated story mode, and Tekken 8 is building up hype like crazy. With that being said why play a game that's been out for 10 months that is extremely unbalanced, has little to no player base, and hasn't had a major overhaul update to add more content and fix existing issues until now? Almost a year after it launched? It's clear you don't know much about the FGC but this is how it works to keep things fresh and interesting for the players and the competitive scene.
You all do realize that if a game has dlc released soon after launch it means those characters were simply removed from the base game and sold to you a second time, right? That's what you guys are complaining about? You want more of that? Sigh...this is why we cannot have nice things.

Dhey decided to reveal her in december because of the pression on them but it was not the plan. We are disappoint in march because we have nothing more to see but at first we asked to have something earlier. it's like a children wanted to know what is the gift for christmas before christmas instead of waiting the day. Sorry for my english. My point is since october 2022, nexon was aware they wanted to release 5 character as DLC (the cake). We should have believe in them and wait the release day. We did'nt and now we are disappoint in march by the news of spectre. I have faith in DNF Duel. I have faith in Eighting/Nexon/Arc System Works. I am not worry at all about SF6 coming in june. I am not worry about the 4 dlc they have already announce too. Why ? Because when spectre will come in summer, the game will change a lot. MVC3 and UMVC3 was two different game. Dnf duel in summer will be a new game i'm pretty sure. That the reason i can wait for spectre. I see no point of playing spectre in this version of the game. i want spectre in the new version with the new system. SF6 in june, yes but after a month people will be bored i'm pretty sure. New character is not enough. What make a game really interesting is when dev change the system. look Granblue for example. To finish DNF Duel is the best game. I'm pretty sure he will trend after summer and will be played a lot from summer until the end of the year because spectre + another character is coming + new system
