Metro Goods Line

  • The Metropolitan Goods line between 1916 and 1922, as a way of getting the freight trains out of the way of the higher-priority passenger trains. It parallels the Bankstown passenger line from Marrickville to Campsie, involves four triangular junctions en-route, and three large yards at Rozelle, Enfield and Chullora.
    86 years after it opened, the line is still an important part of the everyday rail network.

    @roadwolf2 Nah, they wern't moved, the goods lines never really met up with all the stations as far as I know, it was simply a goods line between Darling Harbour and Botany Bay, not to mention southern lines, thhe cameraman is sdanding on the passenger platforms that have dedicated rails for passenger trains.
