Pitnacree Train Spotting
Under and beside the Pitnacree Rd overpass in East Maitland is a fantastic place to get photo's and video's of trains on the Hunter Line.
This bridge is located just north of East Maitland Station.
This Vlog is packed full of passenger and Coal/freight train action.

as per usual Phil an excellent Video........I was born and bred in Maitland before moving to Brisbane........I remember that old house there being occupied with a very large family.....
I now have to make it a point some time in my life to visit Sydney. Your transit system looks great. Better then new York city's witch I work for.
Great pacing action there between the coal train and the freight at 12:00 - well done.

That train that finally got past at 10:38 had 96 hoppers, I counted them! Four more and he'd have made the ton!

From 2:56 to 4:14, I had to momentarily pause the video so I could work out what that strange ghostly anomaly was in the centre of the screen.... Not to worry, nothing spooky! Just the shadow of that overhanging tree near that burnt-out derelict house.
That's a nice and shady spot! I should travel up there and do some trainspotting one day.

Phil, you weren't the first and you'll be by no means the last to use that spot for trainspotting videos. Methinks either or both Josh(Steam In New South Rails) or Aiden(Teszke) might've used that spot on the odd occasion. I might even consider using that spot myself sometime.
