Bench power supply units are quite useful devices. Especially when they can deliver a decent current. And as so called low-cost power supply :) I needed one, found PS-3010DF on Aliexpress, and now let's do a teardown on this $70 PSU. And test it a little with a load resistor...

I got a similiar one, but with 4 memory buttons for preferred Voltages like 5 V, 12 V, 7,2 V which is quite usefull.
60€ back then in 2019 before Corona.

The loose bit in your hand at 3:39 is the top handle retainer nut, you can see it in place, by your finger at 3:11. not a loose piece of 'cheap shit' 😆

I don't know why, but i don't like LED-Displays on PSU's. I like LCD.
