I really enjoyed your video. I’ve had that same rig for several years. I carry my Ruger GP100 seven round 357 magnum revolver and two speed loaders in my chest pack. Out on the trail, I’ve had out hikers react negatively when I was carrying my revolver on my hip. This is never an issue when using the Hill People Gear Chest Pack. The other point you made is weight distribution. It is much more comfortable carrying the gun on your chest.
How big is your gp100? I'm leaning towards getting their medium rig and I have a smith model 69 that is 9.6 inches oal.. wasn't sure if it would fit or not.
For me the best of both worlds caliber would be 10mm!! I'd like to point out that the biggest thing it comes down to when carrying a firearm is Proficiency with your weapon...
I seen those for years and wanted one they were just to expensive. I scored at a second hand store and found one for 4 dollars the od green one with Molly on the front side great for carrying my full size pistol with light when I'm riding. Great video! I like wen u bring out the guns lol
Awesome video man agree these things ain't cheap but the are quality and I get alot of use out of mine from Deer & Turkey hunting to fishing to general woods walking to using it as a diaper/ spare clothes bag for my daughters when we go for a walk and like you said you dont always have to use it to carry a firearm. Will be throwing some fishing tackle in mine this weekend lol. Have a good one.
