I FORGOT MY SCHOOL DID THIS!!! My choir director at the time promised me a solo and she instead picked names out of a hat🙂 I finally got some solos later that year and the next year but I still so was SOOOOO pissed
@@shortyylu It's not a Native American song, it's an Indian one, as in South Asian. It's fine for Americans to sing Indian (South Asian) songs, this one is just cringe
Middle Schools will usually perform songs from other cultures and have an entire chorus of white kids who don't know how to properly sing it perform and it ends up sounding and looking really bad lol
I remember when my middle school choir tried to incorporate sign language into our performance, instead of singing “there is peace” we signed “there is burgers”
Oh no not the flashbacks PTSD of the choir songs for plays in front of all our families is coming back some say it’s worse than Vietnam flashbacks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Usually I physically cringe at content like this but this has me hysterical 🤣
Same here, i think its the genuine faces of not knowing what he is supposed to sing
As an Indian who grew up hearing this song- I-
As an Indian American, I feel like I was stabbed 37 times and shoved down a toilet after witnessing this. Really funny tho.

Me too

Why is this so specific?!
Let's all do our part to get this song deeply carved into American culture. 😮
Stop it! My high school choir did this in 2010 😅😅😅
This must have been that guy period of time when the entire continent of North America had an unhealthy fixation with Slumdog Millionaire.
The big "cool" move they made us do was a dramatic pause while we all 'raised the roof'. 🤦♀️
Where did he get the audio from? Is that a real middle school chorus?
I am black also indian
