Skyrim only autosaves when you change game cells and (depending on options set), when you fast travel and when you wait/sleep. You can also set it to do extra autosaves every X minute.
Lesson learned: you'll have to redo long dialogues if you take forever to answer. There are also a few situations in the game where taking too long doesn't let you redo the dialogue - it will be counted as one of the options. And in some cases (mostly random encounters), you simply can't enter dialogue again.
In my first playthrough, I think I had four followers killed in total. Faendal, Lydia, Jenassa and Belrand. Of those, Jenassa was with me at least three times as long as the others combined. She was great.
For a first try, especially someone who isn't used to Bethesda games, a vanilla playthrough is fine. It may not be the most exciting in general to watch for those who have thousands of hours into the game (modded or otherwise) but it's still interesting to see a new player's reactions to quests and characters we've known for years.
Some people enjoy the original Skyrim without using a lot of Mods that are little more than personal taste mods, loot mods or pointless beautification of Npcs that make everyone look like soulless barbies.
@@claytonjacobs4098It took me 31 games before I decided to add mods…the few I have are mostly homes scattered around Skyrim for when I play on survival mode ☺️.. and I beautified my towns and cities, but left the people the same😉… and a couple of cute mods,,,lampposts of Skyrim and Hold Banners,,,nice to see when I am in a different hold😏

Oh gosh, that's so many followers! That sounds so stressful! Jenassa was a great follower - I hire her for a while during this playthrough.
If you sneak: once you are detected and engaged in melee combat, stand up (exit sneak mode). You'll be faster and fight better.
For some reason I have such a hard time with this! Thank you for all your tips c:
Yeah...maybe do NOT attack mammoths....or Giants. It can be done but you need a location where you can shoot from and they cant reach you.
Yeeeeaahhh, my curiosity got the better of me on that one lol
Play modded Skyrim, gal. This shit is a decade old. Everyone has seen this
It's time to download mods
Player hasn't seen this. I think first playthrough should be unmodded (except maybe some bugfix/lost content stuff).
