Since "quickly" (if you know you know) slapping this video together, that "activity" I noticed in the eye room was the revelation that a few other people received e-mails from this mysterious benefactor containing what they referred to as "eyes" or hints. There are 5 eyes that will be given. 2 of those have been given out - location and method. So there are 3 more left to be given out, now that I have uploaded this video...I'll let you know what happens as soon as we know. This might be it.
I haven't been playing Noita for very long (I learned it from watching you!) but find myself invested in all of its' mysteries. You are essentially an ambassador for Noita. So thank you for what you do!
For those outside the Noita Discord, this was all but confirmed to be a hoax earlier today. A big reveal of the solution was planned for the end of the week, but those chosen by Hidden Secret to deliver it(the "5 eyes") agreed that such an announcement should not be made without absolute certainty that her claims were true. They requested that one of the members be told the method of deciphering the eye glyphs, so they could confirm independently that it worked. HS failed to produce this and has since stopped communicating. Those attempting to solve the Eye cipher or complete special challenge runs based on her vague hints have discovered nothing significant. Disappointment aside, it feels really shitty that HS would force Fury and the other community members into the spotlight of something so controversial- they, unlike her, are actually invested in the community and have reputations to worry about. They did a ton of work trying to turn this into something fun for us even when they weren't certain that it would pan out, and for that they deserve unwavering respect. Sorry you had to deal with this Fury, and more importantly, thanks for all your hard work.
Did the house have no value if it introduced new eyes to the actual puzzle? Sure it's annoying time was wasted trying to solve nonsene L, but more people are acquainted with the eyes puzzle now.
It had no value. The same people that were already working on the eye puzzle stopped doing what they were doing to try to solve this nonsense. And now id say people are turned off from the puzzle cuz they just wasted a bunch of time and effort. The do not justify the means. Lying to an entire community for attention is a shitty thing to do. I hope “HS” stays far away from the community.
I'm very invested emotionally in this and I don't even play the game, if this turns out to be true, I absolutely love that this person went for the cryptic ARG type of message instead of straight up telling what's going on. I don't understand how anyone could be angry at this, isn't mystery hunting all this game is about?
It depends on what their goal is I guess. If they’re in it for the mystery then more mysteries are welcome. But if they’re in it for answers than dangling a potential solution In front of them could be frustrating
"...isn't mystery hunting all this game is about?" ONE MORE TIME FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK! Seriously, if you're upset about this; how and why? I would kill to be in Fury's position, teased into trying again to solve a mystery that has stumped THOUSANDS. Heck, arguably I AM, because he was ushered to tell US about this mystery.
Thats why i dont think they did. Its very unlikely someone would solve it and not want to let everyone know they did it by showing everyone and proving it. Either this is fake or its a friend of a dev who was told it or it is a dev. I'm leaning toward fake but I cant see why someone would go to the trouble of faking it.
For the message: "To what extent do we fear? What can be given can be taken away. Turn back to the whispered voices and retry. If you won't, someone else surely will." I kind of feel this is pointing to restarting your save. You may need to go into the game with an absolute clean slate. Perhaps you need to get to the point of getting to the eyes without progressing the game. So, if you die, you restart your save again. It may only be that the "progress" is saved after death. When they say, "if you won't, someone else surely will", may mean a completely new player or perhaps someone who is willing to go that distance could stumble upon the answers we need. As for the whispered voices, maybe something relatable can only be found in a new save. Or the location of the whispered voices in an old save marks a spot needing to go to in a new save. Just my theory.
and the line about sacrifice could also follow this, you have to sacrifice your save, same with the line abt time running out, maybe you only have so many runs before the solution is "lost to time"
I wonder if it's talking about the noita's life. "What use are mountains of silver and gold to someone who fears Death?" The whole thing about sacrifice and YOU being the key hints to me that the player must somehow be sacrificed, for an effect to take place in the next run.
@@Catalyticc That fits with the no gold achievement. The pacifist achievement is also mentioned. This is really looking at being a True God run isn't it? Pacifist, No money, Create The Sun and Black Hole, No Fungal Shifts (reality unaltered), Fresh Save (hopefully not fresh install like OneShot) The reference to 8 and something not repeating could reference the Parallel Worlds too
@@Firesgone and that matches with the "you have shown you care of sacrifice and have been willing to take it"... aka much work and suffering ahead (or it means a literal sacrifice who knows)
@@Firesgone so "will not repeat" is something that doesn't show up again in parallel worlds? There's plenty of things that don't show up in parallel worlds, maybe those things are important?
"The deletion of knowledge was acknowledged..." Maybe they left a comment on your video about deleting your save? I can see someone respecting that enough to give you hints. That could even be the "instructions given, ignored, lost, forgotten, forgiven." If they tried to give instructions that got ignored and lost in the sea of comments, they could have been upset and forgotten about it until your more recent eyes videos, and they decided to forgive you and send them again in these emails. These comments may even be the "Whispered voices" but that could very well just be referring to reaching out to your community. Love your content, you turned my interest in a quirky physics roguelike into the love and appreciation I have for the wonderful, beautiful world that is Noita.
The whole "keep your mind pure" thing is 100% not just keeping mods off. It was mentioned in *all three emails*, it seems wayyyy too important to be something so obvious as keeping mods off. I think it must mean something like pacifist, no perks, no fungal shift, etc.
@@FuryForged "No tinkering" seems way too specific a choice of words for this game. No wand editing either maybe? Take the world as you find it, a lone Mina waking up moments before the end of everything working her way down to Kolmi to reclaim the salt and true knowledge.
I like to imagine that he's being symbolic and that cracking the eyes simply leads further down the rabbit hole and there are more things to uncover beyond them. Laying out a path to further secrets to uncover.
Two things I wanna point out that maybe has already being pointed out but aluding to not killing enemies and being a pacificst, if you notice when you pick up wands, flasks, pouches or perks the green symbols turn into blood (except perks when you don't kill an enemy in the level, those runes turn into water), it could imply that wands except the first two or not even those aren't allowed. If I'm not mistaken there was something in the game about ending it without using wands, so maybe this is exploring the world without using them. And with 8 comes around the table, all planets (even pluto) have alchemic symbols, so maybe somehow that's also related with how the sun's mention also relates to the alchemic symbol of gold. Maybe what this implies is deleting the save and doing no wand exploration somehow, and that gives you a hint
That makes some sense to me. 8 could be referencing your item/wand slots. Maybe 4 items/tools/elements (flask/bag) and 0 or 4 spells? Hard to make it to the eye room without something
Something I'd like to add real quick: You said that the eyes in the writer's callsign would translate to 100320. For whatever reason, my mind went to the Alt codes in computers, where you type numbers into the numpad and it makes special characters. Alt+100320 is α, the greek symbol Alpha. Could be total coincidence, but if you need a name for this person, Alpha could work for the sake of a consistent name throughout the community
may be a dumb idea, but what if we go through the different alt codes for all of the eyes, and see if the numbers can translate into enough letters to form a somewhat cohesive word or sentence?
if we have to go down this route, since the eyes only have 5 states, decoding it as base 5 gives 3210 (dec), which in unicode is "ಊ" U+0C8A KANNADA LETTER UU
"Focus on the key for now" - and multiple references to 5 - The crystal Key only requires 4 music boxes, but what if it's music "keys" as in notes - the Kantelle and Huilu spells require 5 notes or "keys on a piano" - who knows, fun to reach for ideas though
Even if the emailer is a complete red herring, it sure has been interesting so far lmao. and reading all the info in the discord has been so exciting and potentially seeing the solution to the eyes has me at the edge of my seat
If nothing else, these emails were the spark needed to start the eye hunt back up for many players. Even if this is a fake, I think that this was done in good will and could still lead to us finding the answers.
@@boldCactuslad Or a sadist, considering many people will now potentially waste a ton of time on something that could be totally made up and with all those conditions presented extremely hard to achieve. I'm very, very skeptical, especially since I've seen comments with hints for players on the Noita subreddit written by someone in an extremely similar style, and that person doesn't strike me as someone who would've suddenly solved the mystery. But hey, I'd be glad to be proven wrong. After all, miracles do happen.
Hey fury, unrelated to the video, I just wanted to say thank you for making my childhood with your modded terraria videos 6 YEARS ago. I'm gonna follow along this because I really like ARG sort of related stuff but I just wanted to express my gratitude towards you. Best of luck on the hunt!
okay just watched the vid, and i think what this person is doing is possibly the best thing possible, and if they had the dedication to solve the eyes in secret, it only makes sense that they have enough to build another secret in order to reveal their findings
"Two pieces lie apart" and "You need the piece. You are a piece" - There are potentially four versions of Mina: the player, the ghost (Kummitus), the statue (Patsus), and the decorative statue that Patsus resembles. Has anyone attempted moving any of these to key locations (Mountain, Cauldron, the essence chambers) on a clean save (or a fully unlocked one)? Edit: Can you imagine the difficulty of getting Kummitus to travel to all of the 8-sided rooms, pick up the essences and other items, and then follow you back to the Mountain Altar or Cauldron Room? Eek!
Currently playing ESA. It just beautiful trying to solve the puzzles and discovering things by oneself. Im currently trying to find 2 of the 4 keys that are hidden. Hempuli and the team are amazing doing this stuff.
The part at 9:20 "a forgotten scene remembered" makes me think of the cutscene when you start the game for the first time with the bird and the egg etc. I'm sure people have already analyzed it to the death, but I find it interesting how it fits together with other themes in the emails, like how you might have to start from a completely fresh file. Also "Find yourself at a rock face" is maybe also hinting at the tutorial stones at the start?
The intro on a fresh save fits with "clear alterations of the mind and world", "let light shine, paths unfold", "swirls of a state shimmer", "stand and watch, old friend. The deletion of knowledge was acknowledged. In turn, knowledge was shared", "turn back to the whispered voices and retry"
I think the thing about the Hourglass is just saying that if you break it and cause the Earthquake, there will be no way to reach your goal in that run. So I imagine that means you need to fill it with Teleportatium and do something on the other side of the portal it creates (is that called The Eye Room?).
Oh right, completely forgot about that. It is called the Eye room because of its shape, yes. I feel like we should have a look at everything related to eyes in the game _(pun not intended)_
(Removed because it was wrong) BTW, The Eye room is the single place in the game which seem to have no sounds at all. Could we hear any whispering voices in it maybe?
@@ruslanbespalov550 nope, gotta correct your correction: eye room is definitely from the hourglass. The puzzle you're thinking of brings you to the room above the cauldron with two wands, assuming you're referring to the puzzle where you fill teleportatium into an eye statue in snowy depths.
It's very interesting because admiting not being a dev right away is enough for all of this to be descarted, whoever made this is fully aware of that, and yet they decided to put all this effort into this anyway. Maybe several layers of reverse psychology is part of the plan. lol
What stood out most to me were the ??? rooms. "8 comes round the table, circling the sun, alignments meet. Remembered and not lost, the(y?) lead the way." If this is referring to the ??? rooms, the glyphs on them read, "knowledge through pain" and "wisdom through sacrifice," which he later references with you deleting your save. Seems too coincidental to me. Alignments could mean drawing lines between them to find a location or something, or maybe a layered reference to the Zodiac which could mean something? If they each represent a planet, planets each have their own element amongst other things, so maybe deciphering which one's which is possible. Traveling between them in a certain order or connecting them together in a certain order. "Remembered and not lost, they lead the way." Maybe you have to have a reward from each of them in your inventory (remembered) while you do whatever it is the other 4 will probably lead you to. Maybe the sun seed quest has something to do with it (circling the sun). And "Never Below" could mean pretty much anything lol. Hope this is helpful rather than the useless ramblings of a casual Noita enjoyer.
So I took the part where is said there is "two keys, someone else holds the other...will not repeat...", to possibly reference someone in the development team possibly saying something in the past, giving us a "key" unbeknownst to us, and it's not going to be repeated...becuase it's already been announced and it's on the internet somewhere. Anyways, that's just my contribution to the theory crafting
Has anyone ever tried to bring that golden noita statue back to life in the end room? Imagine the knowledge they might hold if transmuted back to flesh! Get telekinesis and bring them around to various places, maybe an alter? drop them on a heart to heal them? Shoot them with touch of blood? Bring them to the friend?
"8 comes around the table, circling the sun, alignments meet". maybe it talks about some alignment like that one from the jungle statues? "as above, never below" and "let light shine, paths unfold", maybe you need to create a sun, or bring one to some coordinates, the alignment coordinates? or maybe the cauldron needs light? so either bring a sun to the cauldron or use a Sädekivi on top of the cauldron so the light can "shine" on it revealing something maybe
Okay new theory. Revert to the clean state of the game (pure?), start the game. Look at the rocks (find yourself at the rock face) with glowing WASD symbols (it formed and burned). Which are the KEYS on the keyboard. Instructions given, ignored, lost, forgotten, forgiven - again the glowing WASD keys (instructions) which were glowing, but only once at the beginning of the game, if you come back to them, they are lost. Also there are 3 eyes on the WASD rock at the beginning...
That is actually pretty interesting. But in reality, those rocks light up even in a non-pure new game. I went back to check the stone, and it said "rubedo" in runes. I suggest looking this word and the disscussion "The runes present within the starting cavern have something to do with the eye runes in the parallel worlds." up on Reddit.
Could the "forgotten scene" be the very first opening cinematic that plays? I think that only plays the very first time you run the game? I don't know if it's come up before, (I did mention my theory on a previous video), but I still think there's something to do with 3 final altars/endings representing each of the Eggs. 3 variations of Kolmi representing the guardian of the altar for each egg. Kolmisilmä guards the final altar of technology, the "normal ending" of the game. When the Salt is delivered, it starts up a machine that turns the world to gold. Kolmisilmä was placed there to stop that from happening. The cauldron room background looks suspiciously like the gold room at the end of the game. Could that represent the magic/alchemy altar or end? What/where would be the Nature altar be? Does it have anything to do with the eyes? Dunno, just a connection I've been thinking about that I haven't seen mentioned.
I had completely forgotten about the opening cutscene! It's a version of the world creation story from Kalevala. In the original a bluebill lays six golden eggs and one iron egg. In Noita it seems to lay three. I'm not knowledgeable enough to make much out of this though.
That just might be it, "it was released (the game) with a crack (egg cinematic) and a final show(first and last time we saw it)" It was given to us, ignored and forgotten.
@@Avaruuskettu I think in Noita, the 3 eggs represent Nature, Technology, and Magic/Alchemy. There's 3 big Kolmi bosses, which I think represent those 3 aspects too. MechaKolmi - technology, Kolmisilma- Alchemy, and Kolmisilmän koipi - Nature...
"8 comes around the table, circling the sun, alignments meet" and "Let light shine, paths unfold" => Maybe moving the sun in the center of the 8 "triangles" ? The "Path unfold" sounds like maybe a portal appearing (but since the world generation is basically known and there is no "unknown areas" from what I know, 0 idea where it would lead)
if this really is someone who already solved the puzzle, they are simply a freaking genius and their way with words in those emails it's insane, it will be really cool to see how this unfolds haha
Regarding 8 - there are total 8 inventory slots (4 wands + 4 items) which are revealed by pressing the KEY "I" ("eye"). Maybe we're not supposed to tinker with them too? So don't shoot your wands, don't edit your inventory in any way and go get the Salt?
@@GoldballIndustries yea thats the rare scene iv only seen in New game + mainly in the ice biome area I have a seed that I havnt messed with a lot but it does exist =p
@@GoldballIndustries I'm with some others that it has to do with the intro. You only ever see it once and most people have forgotten there even is one because of it. It also ties into the other theories about fresh save files.
I keep reading the "not a message but a pathway" as something to do for the missing eye message in the parallel world. There's already precedence for using summon portal in a specific spot, so maybe there's a way to activate something there too.
well, considering pam5 algorithms, it doesnt work as '1,2,-2,0' its rather works in diffs. I only assumed it was considered "too easy" to be a solution, while emails also say about knowledge being shown but ignored or something like that. Also, i somehow, think about returning with 33 to the work, because nobody ever goes there once they are on the way to collect all orbs. Work also spawn things based on your walkthrough, so why wont it spawn 34th orb. Guess o gonna try unmodded 34 run soon, just to be sure
I'm sorry if I'm bothering you furyforged about your Modded terraria series but me as someone who knew about since ep #83 of your FMT season 1 I'm proud of how much you and your channel changed. Your viewers love your videos and you gained so much more subscribers. Your not my favorite youtube anymore but you inspired me and there's only 4 or 5 other youtubers that inspired me out of all the hundreds of thousands I seen. I loved your modded terraria series that I didn't only watch it 2 times or 3 but I watched it 6 times and yet it was still enjoyable. Your humor and silliness made me happy and I'm so proud of what you, your channel, and your channel community became. Your inspiration is the only reason why my channel exists.
@@CirJohn I've seen the exact same sentence structure being used by a certain person to give hints to people on Noita subreddit. So either it's a very common way of writing hints there or the person behind these e-mails isn't very good at hiding their identity...
@@Oscar-ek2jx the emails say to go in clock wise direction, high in the sky, yellow sea (probably means desert, a sea of yellow sand) bubbling below, lava obviously and serene secrets.of the west, the lake in the ice.
I've reason to be pretty skeptical of this honestly. It seems all too convenient that one person would happen upon the solution, they wouldn't share their findings and would instead be cryptic about them, and none of the other many people working on the eyes mystery happened to find it too (as it would be confirming that a solution has been found and does exist). It could just be something fake to throw a gear in the works of the eye puzzle, or just be distracting in general. Who knows.
*Assuming its real*, it could be a guy who stumbled on the solution purely by chance and thought it would be a kinda sad way for the answer to be revealed. So fucked around found a solution worded backwards to figure out why that was the solution and gave hints to that so people could figure it out the right way.
I sort of agree, but at the same time if only one person found out would them solving it for everyone be fun? Pretend I know the solution, would you be happy having it solved by me telling you "It is X so just do Y and that is it."? I would be the only person who solved it, everyone else leeching off of me. You didn't solve the eye puzzle I did. They are at least suggesting doing things people were not doing. They have a chance of being right by accident. It is at least worth trying, and the Noita devs aren't heartless, I'm sure they'd chastise someone trying to throw a wrench in things but neither confirm nor deny what was said.
I am also very skeptical but I have to say the writer does invalidate their credibility twice by outright saying they are not a dev. Given how smart they sound I don't think they would do that if they're just trying to fake interest or create distraction. If this was just an anonymous fake I am certain they would just claim they were a dev or they would not be responding to this topic at all. They know how much this hurts their credibility but they still did it. Either they're using reverse psychology to make this "lie" feel more legit, or they're stating the truth, in which case it has to be a legit thing. That being said, if I was the person to figure this out, I would probably not say anything about it. I may create a video for "confirmation" and "proof" that I was "the first" but I wouldn't publish it until it was known. In a way this is spoiling the true meaning of the game and that would make many people upset. There's even a good chance multiple people have already figured it out but noone is saying anything. There's a small chance someone in the comments here is actually giving hints. Who knows. Personally I love this idea, no matter the outcome.
imagine you solved the puzzle by accident, or by cheating in some way, such as looking at the game's code. you have a burning desire to share your knowledge, but you also don't want to ruin it for everyone else. imagine you didnt solve the puzzle but had remembered clues that others had forgotten and wanted to give the community that extra push
"Find yourself at a rock face, and don't despair. There is no shame in reaching out for whispers carried in the wind. Ask!" I *think* that, aside from this saying to ask the community for help, it's also saying that whoever sent the email is willing to answer questions should you get stuck. At least, it reads that way to me.
I dont have the game and havent play it but... is there something in the game that can be called rock face and that its possible that in some seed in the game that that "rock face" is minutely different? something like this would require reached out to alot of people to check and compare
I believe the first of the two keys is something you passed over too lightly and I may have the answer: "High Sky (Essence of Air), Yellow Sea (Essence of Earth), Bubbling Nethers (Essence of Water), and a Serene Lake (Essence of Fire ?& Spirits?). "Let light shine, paths unfold." There is something to be done at all four locations prior to this next part, "Let light shine" AKA explore those first: I would also like to note that I believe this means from a brand new save with no progress based on their other statements I saw. "Triangles and beams forever unfold": Note this should be a structure like The Vault, but it must contain endless metal structures. What is a pit like metal structure that continues "forever"? It contains a "soul" (?Kolmisilmän silmä?) that must be found - Once found it reveals a path. It (Perhaps "Three-Eye's Eye"?) is one part of two that need to be satisfied for the secret to be unlocked. It means the power plant has something ("a lost soul" ?Kolmisilmän silmä?) to be found in The Power Plant, and once it's found the power plant's "never ending" nature will cease: "Will not repeat.", and "Hello to an end, or goodbye to a beginning". Something will be changed in your game state permanently. The first key. Based on the other posts, does it require pacifist? It most certainly requires no alterations to the game or "mind" AKA save files or game state. Now where is the second key? Please note that super necros are in the power plant biome, so is that why pacifist is required? I could continue but my brain can handle only so much for now, I have another comment with other details I could glean. Continue?
"Swirls of a state" makes me think of a fungal shift. Considering that they also make heavy reference to salt, and the fact that there is a seed given. Maybe try fungal shifting salt in that seed
Maybe some of it refers to a kind of minimal-interaction run. No killing enemies, picking up gold, perks, spells, wands, potions, or altering the world in any way; get The Salt (0 orb run) on a new save with just the basic wand. "The outcome of the untouched... The salt holds." "Let light shine, paths unfold. Clear alterations of the mind and world." -> maybe referencing how the all seeing eye perk reveals paths, and that these are examples of alterations of the mind and world (ie no perks etc.) Maybe having this type of run as the first run of a save sets some important flag?
I don't think "Waste not the grains falling through the glass vials, there are plenty. Secrets will be buried with it." is a contradictory statement. If there is a lot of sand in an hourglass, much can be buried and lost in the bottom half.
The first thing that came to my mind when reading "8 comes around the table, circling the sun, alignments meet." was The Salt. It has 8 points around its edge, connected by a horizonal bar to an inner circle (the sun?). I dont know what "alignments meet" would mean though.
while i doubt this is the case, if this line is describing the work’s shape then it checks out. do the 8 teeth of the gear not protrude inward and meet in the center?
Reminds of the Secret World ARG. They had a forum where that happened, and initially, there was no way to tell who was part of the ARG and who was a spectator, which caused a lot of people to start impersonating ARG staff and people making paranoid associations from every single cryptic post in the forum. It got so bad, they had to add special forum roles to staff to stop the red herrings. I think whoever is making these is a cryptic poster who knows about as much as we do, has some thoughts, and just decided to make their ideas into an ARG of their own, but may or may not have little bearing on the actual secrets.
Also worth noting that Sima is a bubbling brew that is consumed. devs suggested not to worry about the cauldron yet, and sima is a special event availability only 2 weeks out of the year i think?
From the wiki: If the Essences of Air, Fire, Earth and Water are brought to the center of the Moon, the entire Moon will transform into void liquid and this message will appear: THE FOUR ESSENCES REVEAL THEIR SECRET So: Forget the secret (don't bring) of the bubbling brew (the essence of spirits) the void has already consumed (void liquid spawn)
I'm pretty sure that patch note refers to the End of Everything spell. I have a video of the version that existed when it was added, but then it was changed not long after to its current version...and, apparently, there was an even earlier version of it that existed only for a day in the secret beta a few of us had access to the day before 1.0.
I wonder if "The End of Everything" means more than just utter destruction. The spell uses the symbol for the philosopher's stone, often considered an end goal in alchemy. The spell may have an interaction with the Sampo that has special requirements. I'm still pretty new to Noita (3 legit wins), but I'm going to try getting both on a pacifist run and seeing if anything odd happens. Wish me luck... a lot of it.
They also mentioned as above not below. Is having the sun required above without anything below? Also the X,Y,Z thing. X,Y can be the location and z could be a time. You need the special coordinates to get the 34th or 36th orb, so maybe you also need to end the game at a certain time. This ties into the salt by needing the end of everything spell to get those orbs.
I wouldn't be surprised if it goes as far as completing the Game w/o any Perks or even taking any other items or wands; 100% only You, what You started with, & The Salt;
That's also what I understood. The mail says there are two pieces to solve this puzzle, Fury already has one, but he never found the other... But that other piece is right in front of him, and all he has to do is "play and remain pure, do what you did before again." So ... finish the game, not killing anyone? Then maybe it will unlock another secret which will help solve the eyes puzzle?
"Hello to an end, or goodbye to a beginning" sounds like the end of everything spell. Maybe the 2nd key (first one being the sampo?) is revealed via the end of everything spell in the greater chest. I really think this is where we would find the 2nd key because all the spells reference the names for the sampo depending on the number of orbs of knowledge. But where do we cast it? The beginning of this email seems to reference the 4 essences Air, Earth, Water, Fire in that order. Likely important to either have the actual essence or the elemental stone "8 comes around the table" might be the spells in the eye room. I dont know if anyone has tried this but possibly cast the end of everything in this room with the sampo and 4 essences/stones and maybe the 2nd key will be revealed. That's my guess as a pretty new noita player
"The outcome of the untouched, the salt holds" Considering he talks about the eyes, saying not to worry about the cauldron, then says this about the cauldron tells me that the eyes hold the answer to getting the amulet the legit way, and with the legit way comes another way of interacting with the cauldron. The untouched part likely means no seed shenanigans.
If the hints are about not changing the world, the seed also references the 1.0 release...have there been updates that removed anything? Any items or achievements that you might have lost or are now inaccessable? Maybe you need to roll back your game, undo the alterations, and do something Pacifist related in the 1.0 version?
@@Shareazu Priskip found a way to have 2 Mina's on the screen through a weird unmodded bug. Perhaps that bug must be abused, but its still unknown how to trigger it.
My theory is that the eyes eventually lead you to the coordinates at which you need to cast The End of Everything to spawn a chest containing the 34th orb. It doesn't seem like the type of thing where you'd actually have to rely on astronomically low odds to get it, y'know? There must be a way to seek it out without third-party tools...!
In cryptography, salt is a random string/data and can be a part of any cipher/encryption that uses an initial data as it's key. If you look into any existing encryption schemes like RSA AES and ECC, often times they may append 'salt' with your password text, and use that to encrypt the message.
Man, I want to believe that this one RANDOM person figured out the Eyes all on their own, maybe even by accident, and went "I could tell Fury... wait... OR I could make a PUZZLE FOR THEM!" And even if that's not the case, then this is just someone who really wants the secret solved, and put together a tantalizing puzzle and dangled it in front of the Noita puzzle community to reinvigorate their thirst for the thrust regarding the eyes. And in both cases that's the most wholesome thing I've ever seen.
"Triangles and beams forever unfold" in email 2, you said "i do not know" when going over what you thought of it, I think it might have to do with prisms/light refraction like is commonly thought of with the pink floyd dark side of the moon art
If you read the 'Emerald Tablet of Thoth' in the game, that may be the reason why they wrote these e-mails the way they did. It can be considered 'playing along', but I think it's really awesome if this is the case. 'Emerald Tablet of Thoth' "The necessity of concealing the Art is one of the chief anxieties of alchemists. We are sworn to secrecy by heaven and earth and hell, By the four elements, by the height and the depth, By Hermes, by Anubis, and by the howlings of Kerkoros. An oath has been required of us to reveal nothing clearly to any uninitiated being."
Got really few hours in Noita myself, but this eyes puzzle is interesting to me. "Not a message but a pathway" - If its 100% confirmed eyes not being an input\\path instructions, but a text i could interpret that as eyes not a destination, but a clue that will guide to a true destination. For a such longstanding mystery some may view eyes as a final puzzle, but in fact eyes just a step. "No alterations" - it may be not only mods, but a game progress. As you get achievements pillars are altered to display them. Is there new content unlocked with progress? "Mind ... must be clear of alterations" - really cryptic. One could assume you must abolish you knowledge of a game? Is there some flawed misconception in public about something? Or is it about orbs of knowledge? It means first run before any orb? "Waste not the grains in glass vials, there is plenty, secrets will be buried with it" - Dont waste time as it will bury secret eventually. Or not "[Waste not] grains" but "Waste [not grains]"? "Deletion of knowledge was acknowledged, in turn knowledge was shared" - I interpret this as "Deletion of a safe was a right move so i share this clues with you". Doubles down on fresh safe without progress altering world. "Will not repeat" - A path will not repeat? A key will not repeat? Is it about first ever run and in repeating runs it wont show or about parallel universe not holding it? "Outcome of the untouched the salt holds" - Is it to collect Sampo with zero orbs? Does path appear after you get sampo very first time with zero orbs of knowledge (analtered mind) and after never again? "1602761874 instructions given and ignored" - if its really a timestamp of an update, then it implies that in this update something was added that was an instructions but it was ignored? Texts? Patchnotes? New content?
Please note I'm not a philosopher and only play for fun but I do have a passing hobby in it, but here's some possibly important details I think you didn't pay enough attention to: -The first part of the first email: He cannot stand the focus that you and the community have had on irrelevant features and pieces, some of the things being looked at (Like the cauldron mentioned later) are of no importance - The frustration of seeing this and knowing the information is burning his mind, he wants people to figure it out themselves. -A message (this message perhaps) does not contain the solution, only a pathway to that solution. Let's be clear on that: A pathway is a route to a specific goal or end. AKA don't be focused on the message for hidden cryptics or codes, rather the concepts and information within. -No file edits, no previous saves, no mods, and perhaps no progress at all. Note "... the mind...". The mind refers to memories, aka saves or data must be fresh and new? The world is obvious, but does this mean the world must have nothing that has caused changes whether mods or progress? -The cauldron has nothing to do with the eyes. No more focusing on the cauldron. -The 8 point the way to the solution, which I do not think the diamond structures are the answer. Only planets circle the sun, and they point the way to the answer. How would they align? Perhaps focus on trying to figure out if they move in game and whether there is a point at which they actually come inline with each other, or if there is a way to make them do so. -The solution may be time sensitive in game. Use the time wisely and look for what is important. That's what I get from the first line. -"...Swirling states shimmer in your pointed leads..." You've been showing information and pointing the way in your videos, those show various states that shimmer AKA are showing some of the truths. A state is defined as: "a mode or condition of being" or, "a condition or stage in the physical being of something". So the physical states you've shown are of interest, perhaps part of a bigger picture. Although note: They are swirling and shimmering, this means they are not yet clear - There is still some factors obscuring the full picture. That's my perspective. Continued in next comment because I think the biggest part here needs FuryForged tagged:
Continue?
I'm really sad that I've been playing noita since early access, but wasn't playing actively, achieved only one victory and nothing more. I wish I would know about this secret hunting erlier. Now it's too much to catch up on. Still, I'll be looking forward to any news on this topic. What you are doing is absolutely incredible, and I'm trully impressed. I wish I'd been in it from the beggining.
even if this doesn't turn out to solve the eye mystery itself and is a red herring, I think this surprise will cause enough of a shakeup in how and where the community is looking that we'll make some progress
I'd try my luck and share my results from my conversation with chatGPT about one of the qoutes "In a biblical context, the phrase "the outcome of the untouched" could be interpreted as referring to something that remains pure or untouched by sin. The "salt" in the second half of the quote could be a reference to Matthew 5:13 which states "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." This verse is often understood to mean that as believers, we are called to be salt and light in the world, preserving and illuminating the truth. So, the full quote could be interpreted as "the outcome of the untouched... the salt holds" meaning that the believers who remain pure will be the ones to preserve and illuminate the truth."
it mention much of the "light" "Belief" mentioned in the emails you got, maybe something to do with a light source (sun/moon) maybe something else but I recommend working with chatGPT, careful tho! a lot of the times it writes with much confident but the output is pure none-sense but other times it may provide useful information.
Has the community tried taking the 8 specific items from the triangles around the world to the eye room? There is probably more to it than that, but that was what I got from the first email.
i am pleasantly surprised by this upload, i cant wait for the day we finally unlock the eyes and maybe with that, get closer to understanding the cauldron
Definitely just a memer, all the stuff in emails so far has been known and confirmed information that has been talked about 100+ times. It's not that you should instantly disregard them, but if the devs wanted to give hints or wanted the eyes solved they would've been a lot more forth-coming with useful information and not just lore-dropping 10 emails 2 years later. The liklihood that it was some random person that solved it by themselves is so extremely low if they weren't part of the silma-huone channel, and then choosing to send emails after solving it by themselves after not participating in the community doesn't really add up, or if they were part of the channel, the breadcrumbs they would've left for solving the eyes would've been pretty easy to follow for the other dedicated members on the channel. But props if it is fake it's a very elaborate saga
I'm not good at Noita, nor do I know what has or has not been tried yet, but reading and re-reading the message understanding it's being sent not by a developer but by somebody who proportedly solved the secret, here is my understanding of each of the emails. "Strokes of 2 and eyes of many. Forever a burning mind. Inability to coexist with the veil of the irrelevant. The search continues. High in the sky, far to the yellow sea, deep below the bubbling lakes, to the peaceful serene secrets of the west." - This reads as a lead in. Strokes of 2 and eyes of many seems to be mentioning the "2 keys" the writer talks about and relates them to the eyes, but then simply goes on to cover things we know. Forever a burning mind, as in a mind burning with inquiry, inability to exist with the irrelevant I.E. no mods, the search continues because we haven't found the answer yet. All this passage seems to be doing is recapping where we are. "A message it does not contain, but a pathway." - This I don't have as much of a problem with as you. Since this isn't coming from the developers what they might consider a "Message" this writer seems to consider instructions, but instructions are also in a literal sense a "Message", or can be given in such a way. I think the writer just means to say it isn't a lore blurb, there's more to the eyes than just what the literal symbols mean. The next two lines are just clearly "No mods, it has nothing to do with the cauldron room." "8 comes around the table, circling the sun, alignments meet. Remembered and not lost, the(y?) point the way." This is the most interesting passage in the whole email chain so I'm going to sit on it for a minute. Noita is very clearly a game about Alchemy, and very clearly this line seems to be talking about Astrology, or the planets and their alignment. Astrology and Alchemy were historically intrinsically linked, and the aspect of that I think this line is referencing is the fact that Alchemists would use the alignments of the planets, each of which they believed lined up with a classical metal, in order to decide when to perform certain alchemical processes. The relationships between the planets and metals were as follows Sun = Gold Moon = Silver Mercury = ...Mercury Venus = Copper Mars = Iron Jupiter = Tin Saturn = Lead Most of these metals aren't in Noita (to my knowledge at least, I've never seen "Tin" before) and given that Alchemy was a process that existed before we recognized Pluto as an 8th planet I think this may tie into what the writer is talking about later with Salt. Salt, being an actual material in Noita and being something that was important to Alchemy is known as one of the Tria Primar or Three Prime, together with Sulfur and Mercury, is known as the "Base Matter", and that through judicious combining and dissolving of Salt, Mercury, and Sulfur they could change any one metal into another, the essential basis for all Alchemy. I think this may be trying to tell us that whatever it is the Eyes are telling us it has to do with a specific date or dates, that this cannot be done just whenever. The most interesting thing about this though? The alchemical symbol for Salt happens to be a circle with a line through it, very similar to a symbol we should all be familiar with. Nolla. "Waste not the grains falling through the glass vials, there are plenty. Secrets will be buried with it." - The odd phrasing of the first sentence here tells me that the dichotomy, that you shouldn't waste "the grains" (clearly grains of sand in an hourglass, I.E. time), but there there are plenty of them, is likely trying to say that though you have plenty of time to do what you need it needs to be done during a specific window. I think this ties into this needing to be done either on a specific date or at a specific time as above. If you don't, the secret will be "Buried" until the next alignment. The next bit is clearly just referencing when the secret was added and simply waxing poetic about the devs for a minute. "Swirls of a state shimmer in your pointed leads. I am not a God of the language. Stand and watch, old friend. The deletion of knowledge was acknowledged. In turn, knowledge was shared. To what extend do we fear? What can be given can be taken away. Turn back to the whispered voices and retry. If you won't, someone else surely will." - I believe that this line at the beginning is simply saying that we have an idea of what we need to do based on our leads, he is not a developer, but he can help us. The deletion of knowledge I believe is directly related to your deleting your save clearly, but I believe that what he's saying here is that your deleting your save was part of what was needed to be done. The "In turn, knowledge was shared." I don't think means that he's messaging you BECAUSE you deleted your save to share with you knowledge, but that the GAME was able to share knowledge with you now BECAUSE you deleted your save. It may be that there is some kind of flag, similar to the one that happens when mods are enabled, that after a certain amount of game progression one simply cannot access this secret, but "Someone else surely will" is likely referencing the fact that somebody who completed the game cannot find the solution, but a newer player may stumble upon it themselves. Potentially the way the writer did. "High sky, yellow sea, bubbling nethers, and a serene lake. Let light shine, paths unfold. Clear alterations of the mind and world. No tinkering with reality and it's creation." - This just seems to be reiterating what we already know, though the "Let light shine, paths unfold" may have more meaning that I cannot discern. "Triangles and beams forever unfold, a lost soul hides. A path reveals. This is one key of 2. Someone else holds the other... Will not repeat. Hello to an end, or goodbye to a beginning." - I cannot make heads or tails of the first part about triangles and beams or a lost soul. It seems to be implying that this "Lost soul" is one of the two keys, maybe it's a hidden NPC spawn? I'm legitimately not sure, but I am fairly certain the "Will not repeat" line is just confirming what I mentioned above, I'm fairly certain that this event, whatever it is, happens once per save and once passed cannot be reactivated. "The outcome of the untouched... the Salt holds." - More references to salt. I'm not going to quote much of the third email as it seems to be a fairly straightforward response to whatever you said in your email to him. He's explaining he's not a dev, that he's talking like a goober to keep things fun because he doesn't just want to give you the answer, and that he's reaching out to you seemingly because you thought of and were willing to delete your save. "Strokes of 2 have been made! The 2 pieces lie apart, one which you already hold. Let your voice be heard by many, call out to your missing link, they will surely surface after enough time alone. They have not been made aware by you or the piece, goodluck." - I believe that this is saying that there are 2 essential things to trigger the event, one of which you already have (my assumption being the save deletion) and the other we're unaware of. I do believe you were right that what he means is to reach out to the community to help, but I think it's in identifying what the second aspect of this that's necessary is. We have one part of it, now we need to find the second. "The Salt leads the way, it glows with promise. Be one with it, taking the life of others is not sacrifice, not without a purpose or belief. You must remain pure." - So clearly this has something to do with pacifism. I imagine then whatever run you trigger this event on, or potentially for the whole SAVE, you need to not kill any "Non-essential" (in gaming terms, I.E. if the event needs you to beat the Alchemist to trigger the event he would be an essential NPC) NPC's. I have no idea what the rest means, I'm fairly certain it's just him alluding to how he's going to reveal the information over time. I hope this helps at all. I've never even gotten past the second level in Noita so I can't be much more help than this, but since before release I've been in love with the game and it's lore. I really hope to see the eye mystery solved before too long.
I think the overall theme behind this challenge might be along the lines of being pure/morally righteous, i.e not killing enemies (murder), collecting gold (greed), not upsetting the gods (acting against god?). Maybe youre rewarded by meeting god and getting to fight them. The eye glyphs do remind me of ophanim (the wheel angels)
I also forgot about the perk no tinkering with wands, which is universally accepted to be a complete detriment. Maybe tinkering with wands is morally wrong, like youre ruining an artifact, so no tinkering would also be part of the requirement.
"Waste not the grains falling through the glass vials, there are plenty. Secrets will be buried with it." Sounds to me like a clear indicator that whatever secrets are involved with this require some kind of speedrun or time trial to achieve. Like after a certain period of time you'll be locked out of the secret because it's buried by the sands of time. What that could mean I have no idea but I definitely get this strong feeling from that sentence.
Actually i'm really impressed with how much Noita developers created their fan base similar to alchemists. The pure curiosity of secret hunter comunity is unbelievable. Everyone is searching for a last secrets. If the last secret is unsolvable, that would be also similar to alchemy.
"As above never below" - create the sun above but don't touch the dark moon? "Waste not grain falling through glass vials" - somehow use the sand? "No tinkering with reality" - No fungal shifts? "Find yourself at a rock face" - the very beginning of the game. There are several rocks "yellow sea" - desert? "serene lake" - lake or small lake? "high sky" - ??? "bubbling nether" - lava lake?
I have cross referenced maps and decided to point to where the average point of those "Pyramids" everyone is saying it might point to. I will say this. It doesn't point seem to either the eye room, nor the cauldron room. However, it does appear on the same vertical line as the two rooms, the precise location is 2 map cells left of the cauldron room. Or One Square Up and 1 Left of that potential Friend Room spawn that is next to said cauldron room. I even made an average point referencing it if I took the 4 east side ones in a PW and referenced them with the west side the PW over and the average point of that is in the lake. 2 Cells from the left map border wall on the same vertical plane. What I thought was interesting was the fact that both the cauldron room and eye room are the only POI's that are mirrored from each other. As in, they are located in the same spot on the map if you split down the middle (the spawn point being the center) and you folded them atop of each other. The two POI's line up. Which makes sense, the eye room (and cauldron room) are a few POI's that spawn regardless. So whether or not we even need the hourglass room is uncertain, but I feel like it's certainly a key to the puzzle. The Eye Room is also special is the Hourglass room is the trigger for it, the grains of sand of the room most certainly must be key for the hourglass. "A forgotten scene remembered". It has to deal with something that spawns in the environment? Something we forgotten about? It clicked right as I was writing this: Internally, all the stuff that generates in biomes are called "Pixel Scenes". A Pixel Scene is what Noita uses to take an image that spawns, a scene in the environment using the pixels on the image as a reference, like the mineshafts in coal pits, the puzzles in Temple of Art, etc. Some of these scenes can be spawned in with a background image as well to give it a bit of extra flair. The Cauldron Room and Eye Rooms also being a type of pixel scene. Some can be forced to spawn, or randomly generated to spawn in biomes depending on how it's set up, this can be used in Modding in custom scenes. Although if I recall, the hourglass room is also a pixel scene that can randomly spawn on either the left or right side of the corresponding biome layer. There's so much hinting at the eyes, and cauldron room, but maybe that Hourglass room and Eye room is key. Does filling the hourglass with sand do anything now that we have powder pouches? The amount of hints at sand feels like it Like... has anyone actually put sand in the hourglass before without mods just to see what happens? Maybe with the Salt in hand. (Or worse, putting actual salt in it) So this makes me wonder if the game has be done as a pacifist, or keeping Kolmi alive while holding the Salt. I noticed they called it the Salt. Which could mean a new playthrough, or worse, a new playthrough with a wiped save. The eye room might be key. Regardless, maybe there's additional secrets left on the stuff we've already seen but just quite haven't figured out yet. Additional Notes: After looking at the TH-cam Post page on Fury's Channel. -Some say the room is unique with how the Edit Wands mechanic works, it seems to only work once, and only once and inside the room is 8 spells. It's one of the few rooms that also spawn in PW's each with random spells each time. -Does the sun quest need to be done? As above? But maybe not Below? Since the mention of the sun is prevalent but not the dark sun. Hopefully this at least gets some of those gears turning, because I think this is more than just the eye glyphs and cauldron room. "(^) (-) (-) (.) (>) (-)" Hmm.. Interesting... Reminds me of Tunic with how cryptic the eyes are. The wordplay is great. Good Job.
A few thoughts I had that I wanted to share: "A message it does not contain, but a pathway." I think that isn't referring to the eyes, but rather the line before it. "High in the sky, far to the yellow sea, deep below the bubbling lakes, to the peaceful secrets of the west. A message it does not contain, but a pathway." It appears to me to be giving an instruction in to visit 4 locations, the essences or possibly the moon, pyramid, dark moon, and lake, and to visit them in that order. Alternatively it could be saying the direction the eyes look corresponds to these locations, however that would still leave the forward-facing eyes and what to do when two eyes look the same direction in a row. "Waste not the grains falling through the glass vials, there are plenty." is seemingly a contradiction, unless paired with next sentence. "Waste not the grains falling through the glass vials, there are plenty. Secrets will be buried with it." In other words, there are plenty of grains in the vials to bury the secrets. So you are limited on time in some way. I hadn't played Noita much for a long while, I think last time I played was before 1.0 even, but this brought me back to it. Not necessarily to explore the eye secret, but just to get back into playing. I do love this game, even if it can be frustrating at times. This is quite exciting, though, and I look forward to hearing more about it. Good luck!
Something else I realized is, along with the 8 diamonds, there are also the 8 orb rooms and the 8 tablets in the orb rooms that can be forged into the stone tablets which give instructions to reveal the glyphs in the orb rooms. Also the line "The Salt leads the way, it glows with promise." references not only the name of the Sampo when you have 0 orbs, but also the descriptive text of the sun seed: "It glows, full of promise."
Do you think by "Alterations" it could mean fungal shifts or stuff like that? like it might need a pacifist run without any fungal shifts or major storyline shifts or something. Idk just an idea.
This "Pure Fresh new save file" thing with the eyes.. it really reminds me of the Adventure mod saying: "The Secrets to manipulating life and the universe itself lie in these halls, waiting for those who are worthy. If you want to be given everything, give everything up."
Would you like to solve the eye puzzle in Noita? Just sent all of your bank information as well as security social number! I can only imagine scammers trying to scam people for game secret or some shit lol
isnt the main corrupting element in noita gold, greed is consistently punished throughout the game, like kicking that golden orb, so what if part of the solution is a no gold run.
“Find yourself at a rock face, and don’t despair. There is no shame for reaching out for whispers carried in the wind.” To me, this sounds like a hint relating to the huilu and some sort of song at a rock wall. There was also a lot of text referencing a key. Perhaps you have to use the flute to play something for the key at the world edge?
"5 remnants of an ancient story remain in your grasp." Maybe you need to use the extra inventory slot glitch to carry five tablets at the same time for something?
A "Forgotten scene remember'd" could intale the opening cutscene you see on a fresh file with the bird and eggs. and the Tablets telling a story of how the world came too be in three parts, hence the three eggs
Assuming this whole thing isn't just an elaborate hoax, the line "8 comes around the table, circling the sun, alignment meet" somehow makes me think of a celestial alignment (when the 8 planets are aligned in a straight line). According to a quick google search, the next one is on May 6 2492, and since we know the game keeps track of the current date (because of the cauldron), maybe that date will do something special in the game. And since it's so far ahead in the future, I wouldn't be suprised if it was completely missed by anyone looking into the cauldron thing. I wonder is something would happen if you set your PC's date to May 6th 2492 and go look at the cauldron and the eyes...
I get the feeling that it's talking about some kind of hint that exists only in the very first release version of the game, and that it's also referencing the opening cinematic that only plays once
I'm genuinely concerned this person is just using your channel to yank our collective chains. This looks to me like someone promoting their theories, not someone with answers. If they solved the puzzle, they should have some kind of evidence--an achievement totem, a cosmetic on their chracter, something. Without offering that evidence, I don't want to pursue these "clues."
Regarding the "a message it does not contain, but a pathway" I remember hearing somewhere that the eyes could be a signal encoding method which would mean the eyes themselves don't yield any information but allow you to discover something by decoding something else
One thing that really concerns me is that they signed their email with a single line of eye-symbols. All of the current theories have been very certain that the eyes need to be arranged as trigrams.
a bit of one the emails seens to refer to the creation of the sun above, mentioning shining with promises, sacrificing lifes, above not being as below ( may mena no dark sun), keeping pure may mean no turning it into the dark sun with the poopstone

So thank you for what you do!
bars of soap and food
Maybe the other eyes are ingredients, prerequisites, type of run etc
Sad..

Hidden Secret? More like Hoax Spewer >:(
Did the house have no value if it introduced new eyes to the actual puzzle?

Thats why i dont think they did. Its very unlikely someone would solve it and not want to let everyone know they did it by showing everyone and proving it. For the message: "To what extent do we fear? What can be given can be taken away. Turn back to the whispered voices and retry. If you won't, someone else surely will."
I kind of feel this is pointing to restarting your save.
"What use are mountains of silver and gold to someone who fears Death?"
The whole thing about sacrifice and YOU being the key hints to me that the player must somehow be sacrificed, for an effect to take place in the next run.

I think it must mean something like pacifist, no perks, no fungal shift, etc.
underated theory.
I really think so, maybe not perks but all that fungal shift and mind/world changing stuff are very possibily a thing
it may also refer to knowledge, so no orbs
Definitely no fungal shifting, "no tinkering with reality or its creation" refers to that (and possibly more.) I just skipped that line by accident.
@@FuryForged "no tinkering" huh?
@@FuryForged "No tinkering" seems way too specific a choice of words for this game. No wand editing either maybe? Take the world as you find it, a lone Mina waking up moments before the end of everything working her way down to Kolmi to reclaim the salt and true knowledge.
I think "a message it does not contain, but a pathway" means that the eye sequence might be a URL to some page like tunic's eyes of the far shore
It also might have just been the author's way of saying "I'm not giving you the answer, but helping you get there"
I like to imagine that he's being symbolic and that cracking the eyes simply leads further down the rabbit hole and there are more things to uncover beyond them. Laying out a path to further secrets to uncover.
@@SpeedCapa this was my interpretation too
Two things I wanna point out that maybe has already being pointed out but aluding to not killing enemies and being a pacificst, if you notice when you pick up wands, flasks, pouches or perks the green symbols turn into blood (except perks when you don't kill an enemy in the level, those runes turn into water), it could imply that wands except the first two or not even those aren't allowed.
@@l01230123 Can you buy wands do you think? Since you're exchanging gold for the wand and AFAIK there are no green runes under shop wands.
Source for this? Didn't find anything that confirms this
Alt code for alpha is 224
@@alexanderficken9354 100320 mod 256 is 224. The fact that you need to take a modulus makes me skeptical that this is intentional though.
if we have to go down this route, since the eyes only have 5 states, decoding it as base 5 gives 3210 (dec), which in unicode is "ಊ" U+0C8A KANNADA LETTER UU
"Focus on the key for now" - and multiple references to 5 - The crystal Key only requires 4 music boxes, but what if it's music "keys" as in notes - the Kantelle and Huilu spells require 5 notes or "keys on a piano" - who knows, fun to reach for ideas though

Eek!
it’s Patsas
Maybe it's simpler? 1 piece is the player and the 2nd piece is the wand?
Might be doable if you toss Kummitus a tele wand, but seems like a hell of a task either way
Makes me curious if anyone's ever dragged one of those target dummy statues all the way up to the mountain altar.

Very interesting. I never thought about that eye room, maybe is more important that it seems
Oh right, completely forgot about that.
It is called the Eye room because of its shape, yes. I feel like we should have a look at everything related to eyes in the game _(pun not intended)_
usually the eye holes need to be filled with teleportium so maybe...?
(Removed because it was wrong)
BTW, The Eye room is the single place in the game which seem to have no sounds at all.
Remembered and not lost, the(y?) lead the way."
If this is referring to the ??? rooms, the glyphs on them read, "knowledge through pain" and "wisdom through sacrifice," which he later references with you deleting your save.
I really like that the dude didn't just straight up tell people how to do it but kept it in good old noita fashion!
It turned out to be a hoax.
Also there are 3 eyes on the WASD rock at the beginning...
so you're suggesting the eyes could be a konami-code sort of thing with the direction of the eyes signalling what keys to press?
This sounds promising
I had completely forgotten about the opening cutscene! It's a version of the world creation story from Kalevala. In the original a bluebill lays six golden eggs and one iron egg. In Noita it seems to lay three. I'm not knowledgeable enough to make much out of this though.
That just might be it, "it was released (the game) with a crack (egg cinematic) and a final show(first and last time we saw it)"
It was given to us, ignored and forgotten.
Wow that's a wonderful take
@@Avaruuskettu I think in Noita, the 3 eggs represent Nature, Technology, and Magic/Alchemy.

I've reason to be pretty skeptical of this honestly. It seems all too convenient that one person would happen upon the solution, they wouldn't share their findings and would instead be cryptic about them, and none of the other many people working on the eyes mystery happened to find it too (as it would be confirming that a solution has been found and does exist).
It could just be something fake to throw a gear in the works of the eye puzzle, or just be distracting in general. Who knows.

So fucked around found a solution worded backwards to figure out why that was the solution and gave hints to that so people could figure it out the right way.
personally i think its someone that helped make the puzzle but wasnt necessarily a developer of the game
I sort of agree, but at the same time if only one person found out would them solving it for everyone be fun?

Who knows.

I believe the first of the two keys is something you passed over too lightly and I may have the answer:
"High Sky (Essence of Air), Yellow Sea (Essence of Earth), Bubbling Nethers (Essence of Water), and a Serene Lake (Essence of Fire ?& Spirits?).
Continue?
Please do! There can be some truth to your theory, because there is an endless power plant biome deep underground beside hell for completely no reason
"Swirls of a state" makes me think of a fungal shift. Considering that they also make heavy reference to salt, and the fact that there is a seed given.
Maybe try fungal shifting salt in that seed
The Salt is the name of the Sampo when you have no orbs
Maybe some of it refers to a kind of minimal-interaction run. No killing enemies, picking up gold, perks, spells, wands, potions, or altering the world in any way; get The Salt (0 orb run) on a new save with just the basic wand.
"The outcome of the untouched... The salt holds."
"Let light shine, paths unfold. Clear alterations of the mind and world." -> maybe referencing how the all seeing eye perk reveals paths, and that these are examples of alterations of the mind and world (ie no perks etc.)
Maybe having this type of run as the first run of a save sets some important flag?

Could the old knowledge/hints be related to the patch notes for 1.0? "UPDATE: Buffed a secret spell to be worth its salt"
What about the release trailers? There's a load of random stuff there, perhaps also hints?
Sounds a bit too salty to be true
They also mentioned as above not below. Is having the sun required above without anything below? Also the X,Y,Z thing. X,Y can be the location and z could be a time. You need the special coordinates to get the 34th or 36th orb, so maybe you also need to end the game at a certain time. This ties into the salt by needing the end of everything spell to get those orbs.
I wouldn't be surprised if it goes as far as completing the Game w/o any Perks or even taking any other items or wands; 100% only You, what You started with, & The Salt;
That's also what I understood. The mail says there are two pieces to solve this puzzle, Fury already has one, but he never found the other... But that other piece is right in front of him, and all he has to do is "play and remain pure, do what you did before again." So ... finish the game, not killing anyone? The beginning of this email seems to reference the 4 essences Air, Earth, Water, Fire in that order. Likely important to either have the actual essence or the elemental stone
"8 comes around the table" might be the spells in the eye room. I dont know if anyone has tried this but possibly cast the end of everything in this room with the sampo and 4 essences/stones and maybe the 2nd key will be revealed. That's my guess as a pretty new noita player
ain't no WAY this is a troll, their writing sounds much too badass
"The outcome of the untouched, the salt holds"
Considering he talks about the eyes, saying not to worry about the cauldron, then says this about the cauldron tells me that the eyes hold the answer to getting the amulet the legit way, and with the legit way comes another way of interacting with the cauldron.
The untouched part likely means no seed shenanigans.
If the hints are about not changing the world, the seed also references the 1.0 release...have there been updates that removed anything? Any items or achievements that you might have lost or are now inaccessable? Maybe you need to roll back your game, undo the alterations, and do something Pacifist related in the 1.0 version?
idk if this idea has been discussed, but to me this reads heavily like something that requires two different Noitas/players to collaborate directly.

It doesn't seem like the type of thing where you'd actually have to rely on astronomically low odds to get it, y'know? There must be a way to seek it out without third-party tools...!
Yeah, that was my theory too. It's near impossible for a legit player to find out about the 34th orb
In cryptography, salt is a random string/data and can be a part of any cipher/encryption that uses an initial data as it's key. If you look into any existing encryption schemes like RSA AES and ECC, often times they may append 'salt' with your password text, and use that to encrypt the message.
Man, I want to believe that this one RANDOM person figured out the Eyes all on their own, maybe even by accident, and went "I could tell Fury... wait... OR I could make a PUZZLE FOR THEM!"
And even if that's not the case, then this is just someone who really wants the secret solved, and put together a tantalizing puzzle and dangled it in front of the Noita puzzle community to reinvigorate their thirst for the thrust regarding the eyes.
And in both cases that's the most wholesome thing I've ever seen.
"Triangles and beams forever unfold" in email 2, you said "i do not know" when going over what you thought of it, I think it might have to do with prisms/light refraction like is commonly thought of with the pink floyd dark side of the moon art
There are eight Greek letter spells, and to get all of them you would have to travel to other worlds...
Omg there is noita content on TH-cam
8 Planets in the solar system and a equinox date. Will not repeat, your robot friend. :)
The Salt is the 0 Orb Sampo, that is the only thing that is coming to mind right now. Will comment again if something else comes up
If you read the 'Emerald Tablet of Thoth' in the game, that may be the reason why they wrote these e-mails the way they did. It can be considered 'playing along', but I think it's really awesome if this is the case.
'Emerald Tablet of Thoth'
"The necessity of concealing the Art is one of the chief anxieties
of alchemists. We are sworn to secrecy by heaven and earth and hell,
By the four elements, by the height and the depth,
By Hermes, by Anubis, and by the howlings of Kerkoros.
There is a secret room that is being eaten by lava, if you get there too late you wont be able to get end of everything spell
Please note I'm not a philosopher and only play for fun but I do have a passing hobby in it, but here's some possibly important details I think you didn't pay enough attention to:
-The first part of the first email: He cannot stand the focus that you and the community have had on irrelevant features and pieces, some of the things being looked at (Like the cauldron mentioned later) are of no importance - The frustration of seeing this and knowing the information is burning his mind, he wants people to figure it out themselves.
I believe the first of the two keys is something you passed over too lightly and I may have the answer:
"High Sky (Essence of Air), Yellow Sea (Essence of Earth), Bubbling Nethers (Essence of Water), and a Serene Lake (Essence of Fire ?& Spirits?).
I CLICKED SO FAST

I'd try my luck and share my results from my conversation with chatGPT about one of the qoutes
"In a biblical context, the phrase "the outcome of the untouched" could be interpreted as referring to something that remains pure or untouched by sin.
@@amitsultan1 any fresh PoV is needed for this shit, if it can help even a little it's worth
Has the community tried taking the 8 specific items from the triangles around the world to the eye room? There is probably more to it than that, but that was what I got from the first email.
i am
pleasantly surprised by this upload, i cant wait for the day we finally unlock the eyes and maybe with that, get closer to understanding the cauldron
I also think it's a hoax, as the writing style is extremely similar to a certain person that writes roundabout hints for people in Noita subreddit.
The next two lines are just clearly "No mods, it has nothing to do with the cauldron room."
"8 comes around the table, circling the sun, alignments meet. The relationships between the planets and metals were as follows
Sun = Gold
Moon = Silver
Mercury = ...Mercury
Venus = Copper
Mars = Iron
Jupiter = Tin
Saturn = Lead
Most of these metals aren't in Noita (to my knowledge at least, I've never seen "Tin" before) and given that Alchemy was a process that existed before we recognized Pluto as an 8th planet I think this may tie into what the writer is talking about later with Salt.
Maybe tinkering with wands is morally wrong, like youre ruining an artifact, so no tinkering would also be part of the requirement.
if you’re looking for a word for a sin that is “upsetting the gods” maybe blasphemy might work?
"Waste not the grains falling through the glass vials, there are plenty. Secrets will be buried with it." Sounds to me like a clear indicator that whatever secrets are involved with this require some kind of speedrun or time trial to achieve. Like after a certain period of time you'll be locked out of the secret because it's buried by the sands of time. What that could mean I have no idea but I definitely get this strong feeling from that sentence.
Not a message... but still maybe words. A recipie. Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried drinking a potion with every other liquid in it?
Actually i'm really impressed with how much Noita developers created their fan base similar to alchemists. The pure curiosity of secret hunter comunity is unbelievable. Everyone is searching for a last secrets. If the last secret is unsolvable, that would be also similar to alchemy.
"As above never below" - create the sun above but don't touch the dark moon?
"Waste not grain falling through glass vials" - somehow use the sand?
"No tinkering with reality" - No fungal shifts?
"Find yourself at a rock face" - the very beginning of the game. There are several rocks
"yellow sea" - desert?
The amount of hints at sand feels like it
Like... has anyone actually put sand in the hourglass before without mods just to see what happens? Maybe with the Salt in hand. (Or worse, putting actual salt in it)
So this makes me wonder if the game has be done as a pacifist, or keeping Kolmi alive while holding the Salt. I noticed they called it the Salt. Which could mean a new playthrough, or worse, a new playthrough with a wiped save. The eye room might be key.
Regardless, maybe there's additional secrets left on the stuff we've already seen but just quite haven't figured out yet.
Additional Notes:
After looking at the TH-cam Post page on Fury's Channel.
"(^) (-) (-) (.) (>) (-)"
Hmm.. Interesting... Reminds me of Tunic with how cryptic the eyes are.
The wordplay is great. Good Job.
A few thoughts I had that I wanted to share:
"A message it does not contain, but a pathway." I think that isn't referring to the eyes, but rather the line before it.
Idk just an idea.
if this is someone who solved it, i love that he decided to give hints that sound like the game would have given. big respect!
I love this, really. This makes the mystery even more mysterious!
This "Pure Fresh new save file" thing with the eyes.. it really reminds me of the Adventure mod saying:
"The Secrets to manipulating life and the universe itself
lie in these halls, waiting for those who are worthy.
If you want to be given everything, give everything up."
Would you like to solve the eye puzzle in Noita?
Just sent all of your bank information as well as security social number!
I can only imagine scammers trying to scam people for game secret or some shit lol
Fairly certain the line about the mind being free of alterations refers to fungal shifts as well as world referring to mods
It would be crazy if it has to be done on the first run of a new file.
At the most extreme end, it could even refer to having the game in an unpatched state.
6:55 the alchemist holds a key. And I think he doesn't want to repeat that again.
isnt the main corrupting element in noita gold, greed is consistently punished throughout the game, like kicking that golden orb, so what if part of the solution is a no gold run.
The Plane of Earth is the most straightforward of the planes. Once the Wizard has been dispatched, the only real challenge is locating the portal.
“Find yourself at a rock face, and don’t despair. There is no shame for reaching out for whispers carried in the wind.”
To me, this sounds like a hint relating to the huilu and some sort of song at a rock wall.
"The sacrifice of oneself to the pursuit of knowledge is the highest tribute to the gods."
Much better thumbnail second go
One thing that really concerns me is that they signed their email with a single line of eye-symbols. All of the current theories have been very certain that the eyes need to be arranged as trigrams.
Whoever this person is, and weather this is a hoax or not, they are amazing for keeping the secret solving so entertaining
Three Eyes may have three eyes but that is because he is missing five. He should have eight eyes. That's all I got regarding the numbers 8 and 5.
a bit of one the emails seens to refer to the creation of the sun above, mentioning shining with promises, sacrificing lifes, above not being as below ( may mena no dark sun), keeping pure may mean no turning it into the dark sun with the poopstone
