    Sold, primarily because the system is modular and can be built into any tank, can be pressurized mechanically for power operation. perfect, I love it.

    Scott, have you looked at the MSR Guardian? More of a hiking focused filter but looks very well made. It flushes as it filters.

    I use the Sawyer gravity feed system because in an emergency I don't want and may not be able to babysit a water pump. Also, the technology is proven for hemodialysis and is NSF certified.

    Do you have any of the blue or white plastic 55 gallon drums it looks like the cap would screw on one of those and that would be awesome as you could fill the drum and then empty into many other storage containers

    How would the water filter stack up against the Brita as well as mineral contaminants?

    Does anyone know if you freeze water in the AquaBrick and keep it in the freezer?

    Filters like the Sawyer have high gallon counts because they can be back flushed, to clear out the blocked pores. The Sawyer Point One only filters biological contaminates, but it is cheap, and portable. The Sawyer Zero Point Two will filter out viruses as well as biological, but it costs more. Neither will filter chemicals, but they should last a long time.

    A few questions:
    So can you use gravity to filter the water should the pump fail?
    So how do one tell when the filter needs changed out ion the field?
    How much does one pay for a replacement filter?
    How long with the filters last in storage?
    Thanks

    Greetings and salutations, I tried looking into the container. From a quick search I learned it was made of hdpe plastic. Are the aquabricks bpa, bps free? I tried looking for patents but could not find any info if it was bpa and bps free. Cheers

    Does the Aquabrick share the same size and thread cap as the Waterbrick? I have a bunch of the Waterbricks and am interested in the filter if compatible.

      @@firearmsstudent They work well. No complaints. Stacking feature is good. We user for water. Not sure how easy clean or storing other things - I would not be able to get arm inside to clean.

    • @GoingGoneGalt
      @GoingGoneGalt 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +J.W. Hunt Sir, I must know.... do you have an enormous well? Or very tiny cows?
      Edit; I would be envious of either one.

    • @OKRODDER
      @OKRODDER 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +GoingGoingGalt the wells on the property were hand dug in the 1800's so they were a few feet wide. occasionally a cow would get to close to the well and fall in. we built up the area around the well eventually. but i have 2 hand dug wells on my property they took months to dig but i work with what i have at my disposal.

    • @GoingGoneGalt
      @GoingGoneGalt 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J.W. Hunt Pretty awesome that you have water so close to the surface that you can get to it by hand... you must be in Nebraska. ;) Living in the desert, any water access is pretty much a miracle to us. My well is relatively shallow for my area... only 140 feet.

      I grew up in Oklahoma near the red river i recall my grand dad sending me down a rope in a 5 gallon bucket to clean out a well that was trying to dry up I was only about 10 but my guess was about 30 feet. I spent the whole day down there with a shovel filling bucket after bucket till it was finally flowing again. I think it had something to do with the sand and silt stopping the water flow.

    Sorry, that's just ridiculously expensive. I like the 3 gallon size, I like that they are stackable, but that price is astronomical.

    • @uncleben03
      @uncleben03 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +sciwolf359 Wow, you aren't joking. Normally when I see "it's too expensive" on youtube comments, it's not nearly too expensive. But this is absolutely too expensive. Wow.

    • @gravelytodd
      @gravelytodd 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's only $250 !! You should have at least two of them. How important is it for you to drink clean water ?

    • @sciwolf359
      @sciwolf359 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Considering you can buy a water brick tan in color with a 1.6 gallon capacity for $15 from Brownell's, it is overpriced. The container in which you house it is not a measure of importance.

    • @gravelytodd
      @gravelytodd 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can't just figure the containers in the mix, you need the filter the hand pump etc to make the entire system work. When you are in a situation when you have absolutely NO clean water, you need everything in the kit to make it work and well worth the $250 IMO. Need extra filters too and probably a backup water filtration system to boot.

    • @sciwolf359
      @sciwolf359 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are making assumptions. I already have hand pumps, already have filters. Better ones then what comes in this product. Even buying a water break, a hand pump, and a water filter to go in the nozzle would still not come out to even near this price.
