This looks great! Wish it could be run locally. VMD is the format for MMD (a popular dancing animation software) and for some VRChat / Vtuber models who also use this kind of motion data format
Competition needs to keep popping up for this. Imagine a day where video to mocap is so good that it perfectly gets fingers AND face. I reckon give that about 5 years and we'll see that be the standard. I'm convinced that in the future we'll see websites pop up that sell videos of hard to achieve things, like people fighting, doing parkour, sports, running, etc. Because at the present time I still can't wrap my head around how you'd pull off a proper fight scene in 3D with this stuff unless you know what you're doing, and have a second person who you can work the fights out with.
There's a similar program called "XR Animator" that is open source and runs locally, it has the benefit of also tracking facial expression, hands and fingers from a single video, but the foot placement is not as good as quickmagic.
Hello! I'm trying to create a mocap for a player from a sports game like NBA, football and such. Do you recommend any software for this? It would seem most of these programs are a bit limited and I'm not sure if it's possible to isolate a player from a sports game at a birds eye POV. Thank you
@@CGDive just wanted to know if we can extract a mocap from a live game like Ronaldo making a goal bc i noticed that these mocaps use more up close, direct facing angle. but thank you for the idea
Thanks for the video. Do you pay for the exported Mocapdata in seconds or what do you pay for? If you just try out and is not satisfied with the result do you still loose V-coins?
Maybe it's also about the background? I think the actor has to be clearly visible on it. With the cartwheel and the slow mo kick - there were trees and grass in the background. I'm guessing it may be difficult to track the actor in such cases (especially when someone has dark clothes).
it looks good, I tried deep motion and its pretty trash, let check this thing out, in the example kind of ez motion but need to check it for sure, look promissing
Mate I watched your tutorials 5 times, I tried to use quick magic the free version but don't let me retargin the animation on blender with rokoko studio, the default character, when I try to retarguing the bones from the root are on wrong direction Don't match, you forgot to mention that on the tutorial mate, if I want to test it that is annoying
@@CGDive He's right. I tried retargeting in blender using ARP and rokoko, tried different ways/tweaks.. None of them has work. How to retarget their mocap?? Please help
@@Tikidancer If it didn't work for you right away and you are looking for confirmation to feel good, you will find it. If you want to make it work, learn retargeting from the link above.
@@CGDive Thanks anyway. You were right. By the time of writing i had already started your serie on retargeting (not far enough i guess). And yess, after a while i finally succeded. Many thanks for your channel
The interface is OK for me. Regarding support, I got a couple of reports but we managed to get them solved with a QM member. What kind of support issues did you have?

Cascadeur's AI Mocap system works offline, but it's nowhere near as stable as this one when it comes to foot placement.
you have CEB studio it's free and you can lock foot

Yeah, 5 years. TOPS! :) Maybe even sooner.
I give it 6 months. I mean Sora is a thing now.
would be cool to see something like this that possible to install and run locally
There are some and Carlos from CEB makes them work right in Blender. Check him out

Rokoko's hitmans searching the quickmagic developers rn
lol
what about subtle motions? have you tried those? like characters talking calmly.. very nice impressive tech.. thanks alot for reviewing this! :)
I have not tested it much but I wouldn't expect much. I think it is meant to capture bigger movements.
@@CGDiveyeah i was thinking this as I watched your video:).. thanks again for reviewing it
Have you tried Cascadeur? How does it compare to this?
I haven't tried it in much depth but it is quite different.
@@CGDive It also has video mocap function.
@@max.maslov ah, true. It does. I tried it once and it was actually surprisingly good.

I am not sure what you are trying to do. You can record yourself doing the action, extract it as mocap, then use it in any POV you like.
@@CGDive just wanted to know if we can extract a mocap from a live game like Ronaldo making a goal bc i noticed that these mocaps use more up close, direct facing angle. but thank you for the idea
@@testing6753 Ah, no. The mocap app needs the footage to be as clear as possible. Random video from the internet may not suffice.
Loved it
Thank you man
Thanks for the video. Do you pay for the exported Mocapdata in seconds or what do you pay for? If you just try out and is not satisfied with the result do you still loose V-coins?
It seems like you only pay for the conversion. You use the coins as soon as you start converting.

True.
Can you make another tutorial to apply animation on mixamo rigged model because it's not working properly.. with fbx model of quick magic

What kind of captcha does the site ask for during registration? Where is she?
I am not sure but I will tell the developers that some people seem to struggle with registration.
Hi, thanks for using it, you can enter your email address and click the 'send' button, your email will receive a verification code!
click "send" and the captcha will be sent to your registered email address
I tried but I keep getting wrong password format. Please what is the password format?
Please get in touch with the app developers. If you scroll all the way down on their website, there is an email address.
Password must contain 6-18 characters. Password must contain numbers and letters. Password must not contain a hyphen or other special characters.
HI. nice tutorial .i tries it but i can not download unreal engine version
Please ask the tool developers for support!
Is this true that quick magic only export for 30second?
I believe up to 60 is supported.
@@CGDive can still used it after that?

Seems to have the same features as deep motion, only much cheaper
