If you don't see anything once you log into the game, make sure you are in lowest/optimal graphics settings in the in-game menu and also make sure you have no filters enabled (for filters I mean those under the "Effects" tab)
While N64/Potato mode doesn't really help with reaching higher fps, it is vital to better see enemies in open world and have more fps stability overall. if your fps in game keep being unstable even if your CPU is not being used at its maximum, check your RAM speed and try to keep it over 3000mhz (OF COURSE the card needs to support it, else don't touch the bios for that)
I will not answer any question regarding CPU/RAM overclocking because I have no experience on it. if you have any question, please be it regarding the video and make sure you read the written guide already. thank you.

For some reason, using your potato mode settings make my fps unlock while playing in borderless window mode. But whenever I go back to the "normal" settings they get locked and I can only unlock them with fullscreen. G-Syncs and Vertical Syncs are all off.. Any idea of what setting in the nvidiainspector is causing that?
Bro, I got good pc, but this would be awesome to do haha... if I can play the entire game like this.. pvp etc.. it would be fantastic.. have to test it for sure
A vast majority of the 'veteran' players prefer to run the game on either the in-game lowest settings, or deep diving with inspector to lower then further. There was a vid years ago of a zerker testing fps=dps in trial. He did the same exact moves and every time the moves did more damage when he had extremely high fps. FPS literally equated to DPS. No idea if it holds true to this day though.

make sure ur using lowest optimal ingame
make sure you have no photo filter on in game

If you read the description it says it's not for more FPS unless you are capped by your GPU. Is your gpu usage at 100% while playing? If yes, it should help.
Also, the fps increasing part of the guide isn't the potato mode in itself, but the guide i linked in the description. If you follow that, you will gain fps

Whenever I approach an npc or stand over loot all of the textures around me turn one colour (blue to be specific) any reason for this you can think of? can't seem to find anybody else having the same issue. This used to work before I reinstalled the game.
mmh, you tried to see if you have any photo filter on? they usually mess u the colors, afaik only oldstyle noconrast and the normal one work
Also make sure you are in lowest optimal
@@QSABDO Good suggestion however none of the filters seem to make a difference just tried all of them and messed around with gamma and contrast settings they don't change anything either. This weird colour blanket only changes the colour of the textures of the landscape and walls around me, all npcs including my character stay normal. It definitely has something to do with lighting for example NPCs (their outline when they're highlighted) and The loot on the floor (Glowing indicator showing where the loot is)

is it possible to make the TAA disabled remastered look less grainy/sharp, TAA has too much motion blur for me but fxaa mode looks eye cuttingly bad for some reason

@@QSABDO Yea im using nvidia, i can use NPI back when im using Windows 8. I Saw some ppl having the same issue as i am with w10 but came with no solutions.

yep it is, i don't remember how however, i think you need to manually input the HEX value yourself, on LOD bias
