Highly reminiscent of Bonham.
Thank you so much 😊👍 i was looking for this video
The spirit of John Bonham and Buddy Rich was in that part
Cool❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All of it's good, but starting off while taking off your jacket is boss AF.
Right, it’s taking off a jacket while he taps his feet that’s impressive here, not the actual skills on display.🙄🤦♂️🤡
@@spanqueluv9er yes, and even though his meter drifts a little bit while doing it, it's a neat touch.
Climb out of yourself bro.
@@spanqueluv9er bro he drags and the rushes during that part lol
@@dylanfalk3243 totally all over the place
He did lose the beat completely tho…
Damn, once he started using his hands he gave me hard Joe Morello vibes.
100%
Dude i love joes creativity that he used in his solo
Then he did the Art Blakey elbow mute
More like Papa Jo Jones
It's just how you play drums traditionally. Go get an african drum
That drum set needed a cigarette after that.
LOL
Amen😂
Happy to see I'm not the only one sweating while playing the drums :D
Oh, definitely not
One of the best comments I ever read was when some girl wrote on a Buddy Rich video ... "I wish my boyfriend would sweat that much"!
Any drummer that gives it his all will sweat
pretty sure every drummer does
All drummers do man that’s normal
Definitely Bonham inspired. This kid plays all different styles. He plays everything from big band jazz to Suicidal Tendencies and does all masterfully. Well done!
The hand drumming is a nice touch.
Touches🙂
@@yago8672😄
😂😂
@-The-_Accountant_ 😂 pun unintentional
@@mann8098 that was funny as hell man, I never laugh at puns either, even took me a bit lol.
nekrutman is without and doubts one of the best drummers of our generation
This dude will go down in history as one of the greatest. Amazing
YOUR CRAZY INSANE 🤪🤪
???????((((
Why do I always find these solos when I'm least expecting them? Amazing
Some things can be taught... This FEEL cannot. Whatever 'IT' is, he's got it. 🔥🔥
Watching solos always gives me a level of confidence. I've always been conscious of my tempo consistency and cleanliness while soloing, to the point of sacrificing artistic integrity and passion to maintain.
Seeing Greyson rip on this kit while also having some slight tempo mistakes makes me realize its ok to make these mistakes. They don't affect the end product. And maybe just maybe, I'm not so far from reaching that level sometime in the near future.
thanks man, I needed to hear that
Even experts/masters have to practice :)
I leave tempo, bpm, subdivisions and forced rudiments out of my soloing. Allowing room for conversation between the limbs and more creative patterns. I imagine Nekrutman also does this. If you need a click in a drum solo you should probably go back to beats and fills. If your not doing a jazz solo.
such a cool talent to have to drum with your hands and I love to see it
Greyhound Neckrutman is my favourite drummer!
All right. Just when I think I have seen everything in music I see this! The BACK of his hand! Wow!
You haven’t been around long huh?
@@AmericanBarber82 I’m 51 years old and have never seen that move on drums!
@@mitchweiner I get it. Lars didn’t do it.
This dude is a legend!
No he isn’t. He’s good, but not a legend.
Relax lol he’s a mid to high level jazz drummer. He’s not a legend lol. Guys like Mason Guidry, Chris Dave, or Ronald Bruner Jr. would bend him in half.
@boyitellyouwhat3 and @zaktalksback acting like Adam R shot their dogs with that comment. What are yall the experts and legend police. Lmao relax.
A LEGEND OF WHAT ❓️❓️❓️
WHY CAN'T HE PLAY WITH
WITH A REAL BIG BAND
NOT A DUDE WITH A LAPTOP
@@MarkSilva-ld5lf You heard it here first, folks: doing an in-depth interview precludes you from ever playing in a big band or being a legend.
hes gonna achieve goat status i think
True talent is in the innovation of a standard.
This guy is absolutely unbelievable. What a pro
truly boring
Literally he is enjoing making beat and sound!
Gene Krupa vibes....this dude is the man!
Grayson is so sick on the set definetly a huge fav of mine
I just opened four tabs of this same video and played all of them at the same time. Pretty cool sounding
Dare I say it? I think the young man is a Buddy Rich level talent.
Awesome. Kinda reminds me of “Moby Dick” 👍🏻💖
😂
This kid knows everything! 😅🎉😂❤
Absolutely amazing! Live your channel!!
This guy is born to play that stuff 🤩🤩🤩🤩
So Inspiring and exciting!!! Fire & passion !!!
What an approach! So raw!!!!
That swinging solo needs a featur from Sepultura!
This young man is so good that it's scary! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Fucking stunning biblical drummer and also a very nice person in general, it was a pleasure to meet him
Love that we got a glimpse of Brandon pulling the jazz "stank face" there... that's the mark of true appreciation for another musicians playing 😁
This kid is incredible. I can’t wait to see what he evolves into even further.
that snare tuning is insane!
Best drummer out there
The definition of creativity
This guy is amazing!!!
He is the best of the two schools!!!!
Greyson is a beast. His Caravan performance is INSANE.
I like the swag move intro but keep that kick and hat strong bro!! Nice work tho! 🤘🏼👊🏼
Down to earth, then hands on. Marvelous.
Greyson é um Gênio da bateria !!
Rare talent, generational.
Too another fellow Drummer. Rock on Brotha! Sick! 👌🤘🤙🤟😝😎
He's great! Taking a page from Joe Morello with the hand jive shtick! Love that! You can tell the guys that have come up right, with the proper instruction on how to hold a drumstick, from the garage bangers. Good looking kid too! That doesn't hurt either.
i watched him live once in liverpool and hes amazing
Dude DEFINITELY has a feel for the drums....
Genius👌🥁
Great! Wild vibes.
Definitely some John Bonham inspired tom rolls here
Love this guy!
Wicked dummy good, but the slipped rhythm in the beginning really kills me
He's the KING
It's Greyson! He's the bandleader of the late night show in my mind
I could watch him play endlessly
I took belly dance lessons for two years. I hear some beats from drum solos we danced to in the past. Maybe a little African beats too. Love the sounds of these styles combined with jazz beats on a western drum kit.
I'm not even a drummer and I love this.
Looks cool but as a drummer if the stick hits your hand when doing that the pain is almost indescribable
One of the best drummers of modern times, hands down, no argument
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭
This is incredible!!!!!!!!!!
No matter what genre is being played, once the jacket comes off, you know things are about to go down.
ridiculous is the right word, in its literal form.
Love to have young hands again!
Putting in work!❤
How he was holding the stick it was giving buddy rich vibes
Get this man a drink of water!!! Amazing!!!👍🏻🙂
Ah hell this short doesn't give this performance respect at all. This solo is absolutely awesome, he hasn't even gotten started yet.
Nice chops, I like it
This gets my jungle veins going
This percussion guy is incredible. Gotta follow his instagram asap.
Some buddy rich shit right there

Pure magic 🔥
Nice touch, I like it
Great !
Dude can play. Traditional grip as well.
fuck yeah. such a nice sounding snare too
POV everyone in middle school band when they’re supposed to be cleaning up
He is the modern day buddy rich no denying it
Even got his mannerisms
He stays ahead of the beat like Bonzo. Very rare talent.
Cats an absolute freak. Wowza
Troops of Doom please
What a beast!
Man took feel the groove to a whole new level
I've seen him perfome in Quebec city at the drum fest♥
Love the trad grip
I would die from over-heating. I admire your ability to play with a shirt etc on. 😁👍😎
Man entered Bonham mode
Crazy good
WHOA! Who’s this BEAST? Who’s he play with?
his name is in the title...
reminds me of a performance from Larnell Lewis I saw on TH-cam. I think it was called “one-note samba”
Bro just insulted all the drummers 🤯🤯 you my friend ARE INCREDIBLE
That's fucking bad ass 👍🏽
There was a moment I was like: Why'd you modulate the the time when you were cooking on the first feel. But in the end I'm just blown away by the creativity and musical excellence shown here. Ok, I didn't want the triplets into four note groupings modulatted to being the new quarter pulse because it broke from the original feel for me to soon but he is the artist and I am the audience. Helping my initial reaction I discovered a thrilling performance that grew on me after my properly listening on loop with the mind to understand his perspective and not my preference
I felt the timing was sloppy in places but he made up for it.
@@nbraderactually I must agree with you and I do hear those time warps and human error too. But I politely disagree with him having made up for it. For me, I rather still like those certain inconsistencies. In the grand scheme of the overall performance he never lost nor phased time out truly because when he erred a slight he adjusted rather quickly and seamlessly. Infact, the Human err is an aspect I really enjoy here
The performance is honest, raw and better still showcases his art and musicianship. Here we don't have another robot. But we do have a ingenuity based individual who can make slight human errors and still make those incidents an organic part of the whole performance. For me he successfully undermined errors by way of his musical ear and his technical and very slight and sophisticated adjustments. What's more is how I respect his wish to allow a perceivable flawed take be that is shared to the world on this platform. He knows damn well that he can play perfection in a second take but affords the rest of us the first take with all it's blemishes. I enjoy his adjustments, they're exciting and adds a natural tension to his solo work shown here. His resolultions are sophisticated and genius and his honesty and rawness organic and humanising. It's rather brilliant the more I consider it and listen to it. His errors are here for us to hear and thus we have a performance of true and real improvisation. The dangerous tight rope. The rest of his peers are showing off perfect tales with perfect porfamnces. Here though we have an example of raw and honest expression and the gift for drum students is an example of letting it all go in search of a musical voice that isn't rooted in habit and routine. The errors are a feature and I love it. If he wavered too much though I'd be on your plain of thought but my ears hear everything as right and nice. That said, I'm not saying you are wrong but rather I'm offering a friendly counterpoint for dialogue sake
You know it was going to be crazy when he took his suit jacket off 😂
This kid is the bomb!
