I’m booked on the October 14th as well as the following one on October 19th returning to ft.lauderdale on the 26th of October so it’s a back to back which doesn’t repeat islands and does go to princess cays which I have been to before on previous sailings that I enjoyed. Both on October 2024

Nice. So you'll do the eastern and western, that will be a nice balance. I do wish they had one more stop on the itineraries, but the ship looks really nice and there are certainly worse places to have to spend some time between islands. 😀

I’m so glad I subscribed to you back whenever I did because I just spent some time on my own trying to find the ideal Sun Princess itinerary in the Caribbean the other day. Your analysis is so useful. I appreciate your expertise and have saved this video to watch again. Two questions…
    1. Could you please provide a link to what you mentioned at the end as being possibly a perfect 14-day Caribbean itinerary? I looked and couldn’t find it among your recent uploads.
    2. Would you ever consider making your spreadsheets public read-only like on Google Docs? I think they’d be valuable resources.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your research and opinions. I imagine you’re helping so many cruisers make better-informed choices.

Wow - thank you so much for this! Here's the video I referenced at the end: th-cam.com/video/ew-ZOIdnYx0/w-d-xo.html . It sails really soon, so it's probably not going to work for you this time. (Also - no chance the ship is as nice as the Sun... but the itinerary is really good :-) ) . However, I'm likely going to do some more of these "near-perfect" reviews very soon looking at more into next year.
Regarding my research and sharing it out. I'm working on something now... I just have to do it in and around my day-job. :-D I'm finalizing exactly how I want to do the scoring. It's easy to do a comparison within a video when comparing apples to apples, but gets a bit more challenging when the cruise itineraries go from 3 days to 133 days. :-D
Thanks again for the kind comments - It keeps me going, knowing people are finding it helpful. Please feel free to share the channel. I don't do much in the way of social media, so the growth is all organic. I appreciate it!!!

Yay video. Interesting options and possibilities. I really like st. Thomas too, because Trunk Bay is the best on St. John. Boo Princess Cay. I counted it as a half port. Haha, I guess I am looking for different things. Just a thought. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments. We enjoyed princess cays, not our favorite, certainly, but that's reflected in the repeatability score. St Thomas and Puerto Rico really carry the itinerary.

Great and helpful video ! Just got an email from Princess on Dec.17th. There's an itinerary change for our March 8th cruise on the Sun Princess. They are substituting San Juan for Turks and Caicos due to port congestion. What are your thoughts and ratings for this ? My wife and I are worried that as a result we won't like it as much. Thank you so much.

Hey - thanks for reaching out. Princess isn't the only one having to shuffle around due to port congestion (and construction) in San Juan unfortunately.
The big question is - what do you like? Turks is nice for a relaxing day by the pool, beach, or snorkeling. It has a nice resort feel to it if you stay in the port area. (I've been there a bunch. We get off the ship - do a little walking around/shopping - then hit a bar by the pool to relax with a drink (we try to find a more quiet place). We've also swam with stingrays and snorkeled there - which we love doing.)
That being said, I love San Juan for the history. Walking around Old Town is wonderful and very enriching. The rainforest is nice, and the bio-luminescent kayaking is incredible if you're there at night (which I know you won't be this time - but maybe next time!)
So - just set your expectations to "vacation/relax - mode" and you'll have a nice time in Turks.

The 14 day are 7 day east 7 day west back to back. We are booked 2/22/25 for 14 days with the St Thomas eastern.

Sounds great! I'm sure you're going to have a great time, PLUS doing the east and west back to back will feel like a nice bit of variety! Thanks for commenting - I really appreciate it!

Hey just an FYI I’ve been sailing Princess since 2008, they’re nothing special. I have 9 cruises with them & they’re going downhill. They’ve lowered standards and increased costs for things that used to be free. Their ships keep getting bigger & bigger! I do not recommend them.

Thanks for sharing - the lower standards seems to be a common sentiment. I hope other premium lines don't follow the same path.
What's your favorite line and cruise region?

@@ThisistheCruise at this point I am giving up on “mainstream” lines…..I have one more trip with Princess next week. I’m changing to Azamara, Silversea, & Seaborn or similar. Smaller ships, all inclusive, more port intensity, & small ships. My two favorite trips were 14 night Norway & 17 night SW Asia to include Thailand, Singapore, & Bali Indonesia.
