I agree with the set up. Having the side screens will made it look wired. 😱. This way you get a 3D viewing without the glasses. Find a place and go try these. They're fantastic
I eliminated the need for an the extra equipment and monitors, and just use a VR headset. It's about as real as it gets when using VR. Not that this setup isn't badass lol. Because it is. Believe that.
This might actually be good if you moved the screens a lil closer. For some reason these types of cockpits never have decent screens, at least this one has proper triples. I guess the vids you see of these are mostly from conventions and properly set up triples dont look nice on camera

Controversial [maybe??] take. I don't like rigs like that where I am basically sitting inside the chassis of a car. because it makes it uncomfortable to drive any other kind of car. [I go from driving WRC to GT and older Prototypes so its legit concern]. its also more of a faff on to get out, takes up more space, harder to mount things, 8020 is just better for me. and this rig probably costs 10s of thousands

@@PeakPerformanceReviews Glad you agree. like it LOOKS good but a setup frame like this is more for pro drivers who use a simulator to practice like Max Verstappen. in which case having it be as close as possible to the car is very important, where the wheel and pedals would be set up by the team and the frame would be on some 6DOF Motion Frame
It’s definitely a cheaper option for sure haha, some people argue it’s not the most immersive yet other say the opposite which sounds weird to say but it’s very very different… hard to explain but I’ve not had enough experience with VR tbf personally
Just a quick question. Does this actually add any immersion though? The only thing like that I can think of that might add some is having a halo so you can lean left and right to see past a turn or whatever.
It just works and feels amazing. It’s not mine and I can’t explain it but as a racing driver personally (as in me with a nation and international license) I found it awesome 🙌
@MISTIFIShadow2 should make it better for sure, it’s the finer detailer isn’t it. They had only just got it and set it up when I was there for this video. I plan on doing a whole full video on the set up very soon 🙌

That’s how these set ups are. I do love the idea of VR too but it kinda almost negates the point of all the other expensive parts to this set up I guess
I think this set up with a VR headset would be epic no doubt. But you still need all that other set up less the screen/s. VR headsets are still not at as high a quality as a good screen but the immersion no doubt is great 👍🙌

I know what you saying, I think having a race licence there something about not having the VR that appeals more and full strangely more lifelike as such. I know what your saying and get it, you kind of get an extra different immersion
