I upgraded from an 8 to an XR (two months), I am actually having a really hard time adjusting to the home-line... remember, the home button is NO MORE. That said... it WAS eliminated in ALL iphones after the 8 so, you probably have no other way out. Other than that, I really wish you luck. If I had known the 11 was about to get released, I would've gone straight to it, would hate the line but would probably deal with it better because I really want the camera features.

Simple Answer: If you don’t use cameras that much, XR is a much better buy.
Keep in mind though. You save $100, but lose a year of software support. It’s only worth it if that $100 makes or breaks whether you get a new iPhone.

I understand what you are saying. But most people will not keep their phone for more than 5 years. Also it’s not a matter of 100$, You can save more than that if you get it at a good price from a third party site or refurbished. Also most don’t know it, but you can get night mode too in XR through a third party app called Neuralcam. Also the fact that XR is an objectively better looking phone.

Lol the XR is still supported by Apple for another 4-5 years ha...the A13 Bionic chip is awesome, don’t get me wrong, BUT the A12 on the XR is future proof! This chip will not in slow any time soon. the iPhone 12 will be where you want to switch from the XR to what’s next.

It’s funny how a few years ago everyone was thrashing on the LCD phone rumours and now that it’s out everyone loves it
People can say what they will about the 828p, but my whole reason of preferring LCD over OLED is that OLED isn’t remotely burn-in-resistant yet. My 3-year-old Apple Watch has a highly compromised display now and some of my friends who have the original iPhone X (2017) have shown the phone already suffering from minor burn-in; while I can deal with that on a smartwatch, having burn-in on a phone I use for hours on end every day would make me suffer an aneurysm.
Not everyone has $1000 to buy the pro, so no choice but to love the bad screen of of the 11

yup yup, I'm not a 'heavy user' outside of using it for work so it does what it needs to exceptionally well. Only thing that would get me to switch is if I can get one for free :p

I still love my 8 plus so much but the lighting port is damaged (the two nodes that keep the lighting connector in place are missing according to a woman that inspected my phone at Apple) and charging has become very inconvenient (I can only use a wireless charger, not to mention I can’t listen to music through wired headphones) so I don’t know what to do, get a new phone or wait it out :(

iPhone XR, the R stands for research; IMO. Apple used the iPhone XR to get a feel of what matters most to consumers, and that’s likely why the iPhone 11 isn’t 11R.

@@PikaTheseNuts Apple changes the design of the iPhone drastically every 3 years. Currently the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are the 3rd year iterations of the iPhone X

I came from an iPhone 6 to an 11. The camera quality was so poor on the 6 that I had doubts about upgrading. The upgrade was worth every penny and doesn’t disappoint at all. Great review!
I just upgraded from an iPhone 7 Plus to an iPhone 11, it was an amazing feeling to finally use a new phone since I’ve been using second-hand phones for years
I keep seeing comments on videos about still having 7 and 8's... I have had my 5c for over five years. I never had any major issues (until recently) and I only ever had to charge once a day, sometimes every couple days.
I'm getting ready to upgrade and I think I'm going with an 11... but I am nervous!

I’m upgrading from an SE. the chipset and screen resolution are the least of my worries. I’m glad there are options though. With ski season coming my way and my wallet recovering from road biking season saving $100 was quite nice.
I just picked up an iPhone 11 and absolutely loving everything about it! I’ve seen so many beautiful OLED displays and I honestly am more than happy with the LCD. It does actually look better than the OLED on my OnePlus, so not going to complain! Very happy I didn’t go for the iPhone 11 Pro!

i have a 6s since 2016 (first phone) and it did me well, but seriously degraded over time lol so I’m definitely upgrading on monday a day before my 22nd birthday to the 11! I was gonna get the XR but the 11 is so much better especially when you’re coming from a 6S! Can’t wait 😩
