Jon. Dude. I gotta say, you've been really killing it with the hyper-top-quality content. These mini-doc style reviews are always extremely engrossing, I could listen to you narrate doing your laundry for 2 hours.
Mr. Baskins I like it better since the camera square is much bigger. I’ve seen renders of the 11 with the normal position of the logo, and it makes the top look too busy with the big camera square and the logo that close to it
I don't care what any one says. With a starting price of $700 (here in the US) these phones should have a 1080p screen... If companies like Samsung, LG, and Motorola can put 1080P screens on sub $350 phones, Apple can put one on a device sold for over twice the price!
But you're getting everything that the sub $350 phones don't have. Performance, battery life, camera, face-id, flagship design (at least in Apple's terms), fast charging, etc etc. Are there sub $350 phones that can do all that and have a 1080p screen?
Only problem I have with it and why I'm still debating getting an iPhone 11...is it's size. It's too damn big imo, I mean I dont like tiny phones either but to me the iPhone 8/xs/11 is the perfect size. The iPhone xr/11 has nearly a half an inch larger screen than the 11 pro or xs
While we're talking about that... what exactly was the point he was making there? I kept waiting for him to say how WELL the phone captured that moment, but he seemed to just be making the point that cell phones can record video and take photos now? lol
Jon - Excellent video, both content and production. I'm not an Apple user, but my wife is and the one thing that I envy about the "walled garden" is the timely software updates. Your presentation made a pretty (almost} compelling case to switch. Nicely done.
Currently on my iPhone 11 (my first iPhone EVER after being a Nexus/Pixel user since the Nexus 5) and I’m in love. Didn’t think the switch would be this easy or nice. Battery life for sure is the best part and I don’t even notice the screen resolution from where I hold it. Totally resonate with this.
I’ve had just about every main iPhone (with the exception of the 3GS, the 7 & the X) & now I have the 11 in the black finish & I absolutely have to say this is my FAVORITE iPhone! It may not be as flashy as the Pro or the Pro Max but I simply love it! Apple def got this iPhone right & excellent review as always Jon 👍🏾
S10: Is this a joke?! I cost less than $700 now and I have an OLED panel, and I have a better resolution panel (1440p), and I have a bigger panel, and I have a better screen to body ratio, and I have all three cameras at the back, and.. And I still have a headphone jack!

It's a pretty good phone if you can look past all the gimmicks they've tried to implement (i.e. Soli) Plus, if you didn't know this already, Samsung has an app to help ignore touches towards the edges of the screen. To my surprise, many people aren't aware of it. It's called EdgeTouch, and it's available as a part of the GoodLock family of apps on the Galaxy store. The app allows you to customize the areas towards the edges of the screen where you don't want your touches to be registered, plus you can also customize the thickness of said zonesbon the app.

Great video like always, I am super happy with my iPhone 11 pro. Despite the tech community saying it was a small upgrade I feel it’s a huge one. They really fine tuned the experience.
i stopped watching this channel about year back cuz i felt like the videos were 'pretty' enough for my liking. today this video popped up in my feed. am boy am i blown away! such amazing cinematography! and the soothing narration !!! WOOWW!! 😀😀😀 keep up the good work Jon.
What makes your videos great, is the thought process and analysis you put into them. It's not just a tech review, you go beyond that and that's what makes videos like this one even more watch-worthy. Congrats Jon! A fan from Honduras.
I’m a screen junkie so I went with the 11 Pro and it’s been an absolutely fantastic device! The display is absolutely beautiful and colors are super accurate. The A13 is a beast and tears through whatever I’m doing. The cameras are great even if I’m not the biggest camera person. When I do go out somewhere and wanna take shots or videos I want the best and I feel very confident with the 11 Pro in my pocket. Battery has been ridiculous. My 11 Pro comes off the charger at 5am and when I get back from work at sometimes 7-8pm I still have around 20% after all day use between maps and Spotify! And iOS has been an absolute pleasure to use. Super smooth and intuitive. And knowing it’s got years of software support from Apple coming is a huge plus. I ditched my Pixel 3 a couple weeks ago and I have no regrets honestly. Apple crushed it with this thing!
Went with a standard 11 from a Xs Max and couldn’t be happier. Incredible camera, battery life, performance and perfect size. The display is absolutely and totally fine.. looks great even. No regrets. Anyone who wants to upgrade and doesn’t care about the telefoto and doesn’t want to pay the monthly payments they’re asking for the Pro.. just get the 11.. don’t even second guess it.. it’s incredible.
That's interesting to me when people downsize their phones. I constantly waffle between what size I want my next phone to be. I went from a large Android to a small Iphone SE. The 11 appears to hit a lot of the sweet spots, and I like that the LCD screen doesn't strobe you. Congrats on your new purchase. @robert
Bro, I love the quality of your videos, seriously. But my guy, 15 of your last 22 videos have had something to do with Apple or the iPhone...can we see you review some other stuff?

I’m a VERY heavy user, and my iPhone 11 Pro is a HUGE upgrade in terms of battery life from my X! I would have to charge my X twice every day, but my 11 Pro lasts the entire day! From 5:30 in the morning, to 11 at night, it ends up at 25% by the end of the day.
The way you convey your message makes us feel like we could watch a 45-minute video about any topic. There's facts, opinion, storytelling, feelings, image quality, voice tone all perfectly combined. My props man!
I can remember picking up shifts at work to save up to buy the Xs max last year and looking back on it now I would have just gone with the xr. But I couldn’t wait and it was my first iPhone so I not regretting the buy. The phone after it’s first year has been an experience I’m glad I tried. The iOS feel to the phone isn’t really that much different to android to me as I could do everything on iOS that I could do on android.
"I would have actually preferred the telephoto" Thankyou! It feels like everyone else is saying wide is better. I disagree, there are so many times when not being able to zoom is what really holds back a good shot.
Sometimes you can't move closer to your photo subject either. Depends on every situation. "Pinch to zoom" works but its only digital zoom and will degrade the photo quality really fast. If you use pinch to zoom on a telephoto lens you can zoom even further. Really just depends on your personal preference and what you tend to take pictures of. But more offten then not I personally wish I could zoom in more then go wider when I'm taking pictures on my phone
Bought the iPhone 11 last week. Coming from a Note 8 and some bunch of mid range huawei phones. The iPhone felt weird at first. Took me a week to get used to it specially the LCD display. But the more I use it the more I am falling in love with iOS again. The camera on this thing is a beast. I am blown away by how reliable and beautiful the camera on this phone is. Specially night mode. The speaker is miles ahead of what I was using before and the smoothness of the whole OS is really refreshing. Apple made a huge comeback with this year's version of iPhone. It's cheaper but it has the right amount of evrything you would want on a phone.
I agree. I would buy this phone, but the lack of a telephoto lens makes it useless to me. Now I have to decide if I want to pay the extra for a 11 Pro or just wait to see what happens next year.
Great review of the iPhone 11. However, for the same price as the 11, you can get the OnePlus 7 Pro that has all the bells and whistles as the 11 pro, and then some. But if you're staying with IOS then the 11 is a great choice.
ShaneSharpVlogs thank you, personally my biggest gripe isn't that it's just 720p it's that a Galaxy S10e and a oneplus 7 pro/T have displays that are so much richer
That spiderman part for the kids, now that hits gold.. Its beyond numbers or competition, Like Tim Cook said, “Technology that matters most” That sets it clear. Pure crystal CLEAR.
the main thing that people interact with is the screen, how can you be okay with a screen that is still below 1080p where companies like oneplus give you 1080p 90hz oleds for less and not to mention the added storage, i am sorry but 64gb is ridiculous and then comes the 5w charger, there is too many things wrong with this phone
Cuz even as a tech nerd somewhat i don’t pick up my iPhone 11 and say “man i wish this had a 90hz display cuz my life would be so much easier or i really wish it was oled” people get to wrapped up in what these tech channels say. It’s their job to talk about the positives and negatives of these devices but after that we normal people just use our damn phone for the basic stuff we need it for. It’s not that deep lol i had fast charging bricks at home as well so that 5w bullshit is still in the box and won’t ever be taken out. Phone is perfect for me especially at this price point. It will be a great trade in next year for the new redesign if i decide to upgrade since i didn’t commit a hefty price tag to this phone.
Yes the display is 720p, but everything else is among the best you can get. Anyway most people won't notice the difference between a 720p and a 1080p display when choosing in a store, they'll just see it's the "hot new iPhone XI" and go for it. Hence the sales are so unusually high.
I’m sorry Jon but I didn’t pay attention to anything you said when you had the Spidey costume on. I was just smiling at how happy the kid were to see you and just made my heart melt. Good thing this is TH-cam and we can rewind to play that back again 😊
The A13 bionic, 4K60 video on 3 lenses with excellent audio, 12-14hr battery life. All for $699. Comparing to all Androids below $700, there is no competition. 2020 will be an interesting year. We'll see if companies like Oneplus/Google will try anything to outdo this kind of power and features below $700.
Man I think that A13 helps a lot and the new batteries. My iPhone 11 pro has also been a pretty much two day phone too. Most days I have at least 60% when I’m getting ready to go to bed.
Been an Android user since 10 years, want to try iPhone since 2017... Ended up buying Galaxy S8 in 2018 and then OP7 last year....these iPhone videos make wanna start building my iOS ecosystem! A phone, macbook, airpods, watch! All set?
My wife switched from iphone X to iphone11, her migraines are gone.... funnily enough they probably started about the time she switched from an 8 to the X. Worth doing some research or survey into migraines from OLED vs LCD. It’s the pulse width modulation that the OLED uses to adjust brightness. It’s constantly strobing the light.
Well the flop starts at 128 gbs of storage and has a 90hz refresh rate and also 1080 p for the base model. Remind me what rhe base iphone got? O yeah 64 gigs of storage, 60 hz screen at 828 p resolution, an ugly notch and a stove for a camera 🤦♂️😂
I’m using 11 pro max as my main device. Currently the xs max is my secondary device, has been thinking what phone shall replace my xs max and your videos makes me want to get the 11.
Personally I would stick with your iPhone XS Max. You have a bigger screen and it’s better than the LCD screen on the iPhone 11 plus any speed boost you might get with the iPhone 11 isn’t all that much and not worth the upgrade. If you were going to go for the iPhone 11 Pro that is a little bit more worth the upgrade in my opinion. What I would do is honestly wait another year or two to where the differences are enough where it justifies the upgrade. But that is just my opinion and if you decide to go with the iPhone 11 I hope you enjoy it. I recommend looking at the specs side by side and looking at reviews comparing the two phones.
This video's aspect ratio on 4K on my Xperia 1 looks freaking phenomenal. And quality review to go with it. I am not getting the iPhone 11 but the Pro Max and I am still watching it.

Best night mode is the kind of night mode that doesn’t try to make photos looks like they were taken on midday.
Photos should looks natural. I think many other manufaturer try ”too” much with night mode. There’s something missing if night photos looks like daytime photos.
The video quality it's amazing, I've been here since 2016 and I can see the improvements! Keep up the good job Jon!
Thank you!
Jon. Dude. I gotta say, you've been really killing it with the hyper-top-quality content. These mini-doc style reviews are always extremely engrossing, I could listen to you narrate doing your laundry for 2 hours.
I’m still not used to having the Apple logo in the middle now...
thegreatcalvinio I think it looks better this way lol
Mr. Baskins I like it better since the camera square is much bigger. I’ve seen renders of the 11 with the normal position of the logo, and it makes the top look too busy with the big camera square and the logo that close to it
Lol now I see older iPhones and wonder why it wasn't always in the middle. Looks waaaayyy better in my opinion.
@@MrBaskins2010 lol wow
LOL 😂
I wasn't going go to the 11 but I love the camera. I'm always taking pics.
I don't care what any one says. With a starting price of $700 (here in the US) these phones should have a 1080p screen...
If companies like Samsung, LG, and Motorola can put 1080P screens on sub $350 phones, Apple can put one on a device sold for over twice the price!
Completely agree. There's really no excuse. But hey! They need more $$
but the display is still better, than any 1080p screen in the sub 500$ market...
Tbh I would definitely choose the 828p LCD display of the XR & 11 over a 1080p LCD on a sub $500 phone. There’s more to displays than just resolution.
But you're getting everything that the sub $350 phones don't have. Performance, battery life, camera, face-id, flagship design (at least in Apple's terms), fast charging, etc etc. Are there sub $350 phones that can do all that and have a 1080p screen?
11/11 people would not be able to differentiate 1080p lcd with iphone 11’s 828p
Only problem I have with it and why I'm still debating getting an iPhone 11...is it's size. It's too damn big imo, I mean I dont like tiny phones either but to me the iPhone 8/xs/11 is the perfect size. The iPhone xr/11 has nearly a half an inch larger screen than the 11 pro or xs
I appreciate the person filming that awesome moment in the Spider-Man costume horizontal. Bless them.
While we're talking about that... what exactly was the point he was making there? I kept waiting for him to say how WELL the phone captured that moment, but he seemed to just be making the point that cell phones can record video and take photos now? lol
It's crazy comparing the production quality on your reviews now compared to the Jon4Lakers days.
Making videos is fun again.
But...except for the CAMERA there is no noticeable improvement when upgrading from the X, right?
I would definitely say so. Wait for 2020s iPhone!
Picking up my 11s tonight.
S10: Is this a joke?! I cost less than $700 now and I have an OLED panel, and I have a better resolution panel (1440p), and I have a bigger panel, and I have a better screen to body ratio, and I have all three cameras at the back, and..
And I still have a headphone jack!
Naythan Vaz yeah but it is NOT an iphone bruh🤷🏼♂️
The thing I don't like about top specs android phones is that frickin curved display, not practical at all I hate it, I am looking for a flat-screen high end phone, which do you recommend
@@albertolavin4090 I you are ok with a sub perfect camera system the one plus 7t is the best right now with flat screen. You get also that 90hz display which apple will implement in 2 years
@@albertolavin4090 yeah, the OnePlus 7T is a good option.. or, if you have the cash, the Pixel 4 just landed. It also has a screen that's not curved, plus, you'll get software updates for at least the next three to four years. It's a pretty good phone if you can look past all the gimmicks they've tried to implement (i.e. Soli)
Plus, if you didn't know this already, Samsung has an app to help ignore touches towards the edges of the screen.
@@Byaheronghilason EXACTLY! One more reason to go get one! (Plus, you don't need to pay close to half the price of the phone for a screen/rear glass replacement later on)
U just talked me out to buy an iPhone 11 😅 Thanks for all ur videos👌 it helped me alot to pick one among XR & 11 👍Keep up the gud work ☺️
Amazing quality in this man! I do plan on getting the 11, but watching this vid solidified my purchase even more!
Your videos have gone from just another tech TH-camr to an experience. No joke, I feel like I’m being immersed in a small movie each time. You and your team have quickly become one of my favorite channels to watch after your switch! Bravo 👏🏻
Forget the review, that Birthday moment was amazing!
What makes your videos great, is the thought process and analysis you put into them. It's not just a tech review, you go beyond that and that's what makes videos like this one even more watch-worthy. Congrats Jon!
A fan from Honduras.
I just got this 11 RED yesterday ☺️
shareefshef I always want it with the UGA red case.
Who else is watching this on the iPhone 11
The2Brothers no I'm watching this on my peasant 8 plus XD
Great phone! I upgraded from the X model and I’m not disappointed. The A13 is very zippy on the IPhone 11.
Me!
@robert
Is the screen really okay??
Jessy Mor yup.. looks great.
Bro, I love the quality of your videos, seriously. But my guy, 15 of your last 22 videos have had something to do with Apple or the iPhone...can we see you review some other stuff?
iPhone season. Stay tuned.
It's getting kinda outta hand at this point smh

Your videos are a game changer. Much love from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
You say you're okay with that cause of the price the s10e gets oled and a better resolution for the same price.
it won't get any more updates and will become irrelevant next year even though s10e is awesome
Lol how bout' your chipset? Samsung sells their crappy own chipset globally and sells Snapdragon only to US
I’m an Android user who’s getting a Pixel 4 and loved your video. The overall production especially the B Roll is really beautiful. And on point. Keep it up! Subscribed! :)

"How to make a device look even better ? "
Refer to wife every time explaining about features.
The quality of this content is just ABSURD! 🔥 😍🔥

Glad i choose the iphone 11 black, im from iphone x. Great content :)
"I would have actually preferred the telephoto"
Thankyou! It feels like everyone else is saying wide is better. I disagree, there are so many times when not being able to zoom is what really holds back a good shot.
Just subscribed because you have good taste :)
You can walk 2 meters to take the shot in normal cam instead of telephoto. But how can you zoom out in a tight place?
No offense.
do you know that pinch to zoom exist right?
Sometimes you can't move closer to your photo subject either. Depends on every situation. "Pinch to zoom" works but its only digital zoom and will degrade the photo quality really fast. If you use pinch to zoom on a telephoto lens you can zoom even further. Really just depends on your personal preference and what you tend to take pictures of. But more offten then not I personally wish I could zoom in more then go wider when I'm taking pictures on my phone
No offense taking, just sharing my prospective :)
Your editing skills though 🔥
Beautiful video 👍 Hardly worked video 👍✌️🎉🔥🔥

I m wathing this on my new iphone 11 256 and i like it! A lot!
@@davidlyday7373 I think this phone is so great because of great battery life, camera and a13 processor.

the main thing that people interact with is the screen, how can you be okay with a screen that is still below 1080p where companies like oneplus give you 1080p 90hz oleds for less and not to mention the added storage, i am sorry but 64gb is ridiculous and then comes the 5w charger, there is too many things wrong with this phone
Md Shaheed Nazrul cause its not important to most people. The things that normal people care, are amongst the best in the industry in this phone.
TheZelkhan iOS is the only reason why you would buy this phone hardware wise it’s trash expect the cameras that are good
@@hc5816 hardware wise it matches every phone in the market apart from the display.
I cant believe this guy praising updated phone that became cheaper when they removed features

Jim Chain and google just removes accessories in the box
I mean, even the pixel 4 is praised when they just recycled ideas that they said was useless

Oddly enough..i feel more into LCD screen rather than OLED..then looks on OLED just don't feel good on my eyes..

Is it worth it from iPhone XS Max
Are you thinking of going for the 11 or 11 pro?
Blue Eyed Tech iPhone 📱 11
Blue Eyed Tech thank you man
