I recorded maybe 10 games of his ranging from 88-98 and every time I watch on he does something amazing in each and every game. Saw him play in person, same thing. He said he go out there and give the fans a show because he knew everybody would come see him. You don't get that with Kobe or Lebron.
I never get tired of these highlights. MJ's coordination & balance in the air coupled with his physicality was just amazing. And also the footwork in the post. Just so fundamentally sound. Unless you saw him play in real time, and the competition he went toe to toe with, you really won't understand the greatness on display.
He always came through and delivered. But he also did this in a way that was truly artistic and well.. epic. Insane stats before first championship, lightyears ahead of the competition. amazing shotblocker. superb on ball defender. demolishing of magic and the lakers. delivering the message to drexler and the blazers in game 1 and the rest of the finals. 42.0 per game against phoenix. Coming back and finishing another 3peat with the fairytale ending last shot. You couldn't dream this stuff up. There was an aura about this guy and his carreer never seen before, or after in sports.
I have mad respect for Kobe, but he wasn't this kind of animal. What you're watching is "Big Foot" the "Loch Ness Monster" and a " "Unicorn" all rolled into one
He was a beast, so brutal, so competitive. People who want to compare him, just open your eyes, compare other players highlights. There is Jordan, and then there is the others.
When people say "Beast" this is who they are talking about. The Lion, Tiger and Bear all in one. The best basketball player that has ever played in the NBA.
Love the way you grouped everything together. Starting with his pre game ritual, then layups, one handed dunks, then 2 handed dunks, left handed dunks, crossovers, jumpers etc. Freaking AWESOME!!!! This video also really highlights how physical MJs game was against defenses that played him tough. The amount of times he gets hit hard yet still scores is amazing. No player today could take that constant amout of physical defense and still score consistently. Truly G.O.A.T.
I don't watch the NBA today because the game is a shell of it's former self. It's boring and it's weak. You have guys standing around the three-point line, tying their shoes, falling asleep and waiting for a pass to come from their "best" player. I can die knowing I watched the greatest basketball player IN HIS PRIME and take on the toughest decade in Basketball (The 90's). The defense was tougher, the rivalries were BRUTAL, and the rules were pretty much out the window. I would take ANY championship team from the 90's and put them up against ANY "champ" from today's game and wipe the floor with them. Sorry, but if you don't agree, you just have never seen basketball played the way it used to be played. The way it should be played.
Agree, and the post game is being lost, it's sad really, it's just like a transition track meet, fast breaks are great, but that's not the complete picture of basketball, and bring back some physicality FFS NBA, can't stand the flopping.
NBA lost its heartbeat after Jordan left. No more effort, heart, or energy now. Lebron can keep trying to copy everything Jordan did-even the crappy remake of space jam, he still isn’t even close.
He never flopped. He never cried. He never teamed up with other stars for championships. ABOVE ALL, he played the game like a MAN. With elegance, rage, passion, motivation, charisma.. I am running out of adjectives and I'm still in awe of this guy. He is a genetic fluke!!!
Man I remember growing up as a kid going to Chicago Stadium with my uncle and cousin seeing it in person. Great video almost brought me to tears, the memories. Nobody changed the game like MJ ,did even had his own set of rules. The "Jordan Rules".
Man I got chills watching this, literally maybe after remembering watching some of those plays live. One thing that stats never show lebron and kobe fans should know is when jordan played any team any night Noone struck more fear into players, coaches, fans then this guy. After watching jordan his whole career you understand how this man had a hatred for losing, you can say that about a lot of people but mj takes the cake. The things he would do to drive his teammates to succeed is what makes him the ultimate leader he is on and off the court. Work ethic was unlike anything you can imagine. I will die in peace knowing I watched jordan his whole career as it was the best times of my life I'm 40 now. And lebron and kobe fans just understand when you watch jordan all those years and witness what we did don't blame us for knocking on today's game and players because for us it's like dating a supermodel then having to downgrade to street hooker.
WoW Michael Jordan was sooo good that he denied a bunch of superstars to ever win a ring, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing , Reggie Miller, Shawn Kemp, Charles Barkley, Dominique Wilkins, Alonzo Mourning just to name a few LOL. Once when Jordan retired in 98 all these players were like " HELL YEAH HE RETIRED NOW WE HAVE A CHANE TO WIN A RING". Alonzo Mourning finaly won his ring with the Heat in 2006 maybe he should thank Shaq and Wade for that. Michael Jordan to me is the best competitor and over all the best player in the NBA.
LOl Bird only one 3 titles ahhahaha i think you better check yourself before you reck yourself. Mj won 6 NBA Titles something larry Bird couldnt accomplish. oh btw Majic johnson goes down as best player of the 80`s folllowed by Bird. MJ the Best in the 90`s. Oh and you say MJ was good well go make a video saying that Bird was the better player than MJ and see what people say LOL
Bruce Wayne YEs i watched Olajuwon play in the 94 finals and 95 finals and if MJ would of never retired after the 93 season im sure it would of been the Rockets vs the Bulls in the 1994 finals. It would of been a great match up but i do think MJ and the Bulls would of won that one. For the Fact Jordan Dominated the Rockets in the regular season anyways.
Like i said make a video and just have the people on youtube decide you was the better player Bird or MJ thats all you need to do. And yes the Bulls rolled over the Rockets man what you talking about man.
Bruce Wayne Well you're not educated. MJ against Birds Celtics was when Jordan just entered the league, playing with a suspect supporting cast against some of the greatest teams of all time(Celtics, Pistons & Lakers). Jordan destroyed those teams, but one man can't beat some of the greats by himself. Jordan is the GOAT without a doubt, most all legends and analysts agree, even Olajuwan, Bird, Magic ect. Olajuwan was very skilled, I believe top 5 of all time, but he didn't bring what Jordan did.
This video gives me so much inspiration, every time I'm at a crossroads in my life, to push forward. Regardless of lack support, and all the friends and family that have disregarded me.
Yup u young bucks out there that think LB is the GOAT, remember he wore 23 in awe of his majesty, not the other way around. Jordan was so quick - im not saying fast as in a footrace, but quick in burst. Use to be a magazine back in the day when he played called SPORT magazine. They had an article that talked about quick twitch fiber muscle and how he was God given that. That twitchy, jerky quickness. Bron aint got it, neither did Kobie. Kobie had the moves. Bron, as good as he is doesnt. Jordan had very good balance and foot movement to go along with the quickness. Had it all. Hands, jumping ability, drive left or right, developed an inside/outside game.......Bron still doesnt have a strong post game for all of his size and strength. Like he's nailed to the floor in the post without coordination at times. Jordan would kill you all kinds of ways......total threat. GOAT, and its not even close.
@@ninjachannel007 Koby was a sad copy of Jordan and he was ok with that. I think Lebron is so embarassed to get compare with Jordan. Because he is good but nothing to compare with Jordan talent.
All of his skills cant be matched... This guy can do it all, pass as good as larry bird, shoots like the ray allen of midrange, attacks the rim like derrick rose, as strong as lebron, have the moves second to none, with the heart of an assassin, with the jumping ability of the highest jumper in volleyball, with hands as big as kawhi leonard, and with a mind of an obsessed winner
Joey Kuzbiski Robert Horry Said he was a strong as Lebron. Also Bird couldn’t do many of Jordan’s passes because he can’t jump above the rim and pass at same time. Lol
The off-the-chart skills, the graceful moves, the air-gliding, the speed, the dominance, the killer instinct.........the greatest BB player of all time!!!!!
This is one of the best MJ videos I have seen. I shows how great was and I'm honored to have seen greatness with my own eyes. LBJ is good but MJ was great. There is a reason everyone is compared to MJ because when you are the standard for which everyone is measured against that says something about what you did and the lasting effect it has had long after MJs playing days.
MJ played in a mens league. LeBron is playing in a boys league. It's just the truth. Not trying to take anything away from LBJ, but these younger kids in this generation just doesn't get it.
This has got to be the greatest compilation of MJ footage ever. What a wonderful job. Thanks for adding his dunk on Utah's Greg Ostertag from January of 1998. That's one of MJ's underplayed highlights.
Players like Kidd, Grant Hill , Stackhouse, Kobe Bryant, Iverson spanned both eras from MJ to current. All say MJ was the greatest. None of them say, "Well today's players are bigger faster and better than then" or any of that foolishness. If so then that mean Kidd, Hill, and Stack were all better than MJ at the end of their career than when they played against him. Kobe just made a statement saying that 90s were tougher to play in and that today you can't even touch a player and that its way easier to drive to the basket than in the 90s or 80s.
Who were these defensive teams in the '90's you're referring to? '90's were soft defensively. Knicks? Maybe... Indiana with Rik Smits? Ok maybe the Davis boys. But that was it. every team Jordan faced in the finals was soft defensively.
NBAGOATS I agree with you one hundred percent!! This dude must not know about the Bad Boys, the90s Knicks, The Sonics in 96, the Suns in 93, the Blazers in 92, and the Jazz in 97 and 98!! They ALL PLAYED GREAT DEFENSE!! Mike had it way harder than Lebron would ever know!!
Dude there lost all sense of reality lol 90's teams defenses were soft? In the 90's there was an unwritten rule called the no-layup rule! You weren't coming down the lane, if you were then be prepared to get knocked the fuck out. Pacers, Knicks, Pistons all enforced that rule and then Seattle with the trapping guards later... man, that was DEFENSE. Today you get phantom calls were you brush someone with your pinky toe, they yell and it's a foul.
Anthony Davis It's fun reading dumb nonsense by people like you... fun because it gets people all stirred up for nothing when we all KNOW the 90's was tough defensively
I caught myself laughing while watching this at all the little kids who say that Michael Jordan is overrated and everyone is just on some sort of hype train about how good he was, we wouldn't be saying he's the greatest of all time if it wasn't a cold fact. 😂
His style of Dunk is straight forward. A direct flight to the basket. Knowing that he has the ability to fly and do all the fancy stuff, more often than not he dunks to get the job done.
Those Bulls/Knicks games in the early 90s were awesome. Those Knicks under Pat Riley played very physical defense almost at the level of the Bad Boys. Great defensive team.
Even if Lebron matches or surpasses Jordan's stats, accolades and achievements he can never be this!! People can say that Lebron is the GOAT but MJ is the whole damn petting zoo!The real #23
Very nice compilation! I remember the Jordan of later years when he would work off the low post and perimeter. Seeing your vid though reminded me of how fast, explosive, and ferocious he was in driving to the hoop. Most players hope to get fouled. Jordan expected to score.
It gives me the chills watchin' Jordan's basketball footage. I don't care how many times I've seen it, I never get tired of viewing it. I truly miss those days of NBA basketball that was filled with pure excitement and drama, because a lot of us know that Michael Jordan fought wars on that basketball court.
I guarantee if MJs moves were filmed in HD like today...people wouldn't have a word and question to say who's the GOAT. MJ made basketball seem effortless, graceful, and fun to watch regardless if you rooting for him or not....the closest thing to MJ is combination of Kobe and LBJ...that is closest with still a wide margin.
Yep, I live in St Louis and didn't really give a fuck about basketball at the time, since I didn't get good at it until after puberty, but the entire 2nd dynasty run when I was 10+...shit...had the superman, batman, rodman posters on my wall, had the 23 jersey, and watched everygame on tnt
Combination of Kobe and LBJ ? I see a bit of MJ in Kobe. But there's no Mj in Lebron . that's so disrespectful. And here's how... both MJ and Kobe and Clutch. I don't see them punking out in the 4th with 3 seconds left passing it out
MJ was the Ali if basketball---speed and grace combined and nobody was better at both than MJ. He moved fluidly. Shaq was the Tyson of basketball--speed and raw power.
How can someone actually dislike the best sport video and the best basketball player ever in the nba. He would consistently bring his best. More competition back then and way more physical.
AMAZING COLLABORATION!!! This is the most organized, rare, accurate footage of the viscous competitor, and greatest basketball player ever named Michael Jordan... Well done.
see I study the game of basketball, see Jordan was born too play as you can see like Phil Jackson said his hands made a big big difference. on how to score and he had hang time plus he had long arms speed smh. The tools you needed and then a drive to win, cats in the NBA never had a chance lol. God made him too play ball and that's that.
Watching Jordan during his Carolina days, to his growth and punishment he took from the Cavs, Pistons and eventually the Knicks and still went to beast mode when it mattered: crunch time. Today's NBA is 100% more athletic than the 80s and 90s, similar to how Euro Basketball use to be, with 7 footers that could shoot threes and pass like point guards, but long gone is the toughness that those past players brought. These soft bodies today wouldn't handle Lambeer (sp), Bird, Charles Barkley, M. Malone, Hakeem, pretty much the Pistons, Lakers, Bulls, Celtics, or Knicks defenses in the 80s and early 90s. You might get get dunk for the high light reel, but that would be your last game of the series
Cursory list of notable victims in only the first half of this video: Mutombo, Parish, Olajuwon, Mourning, Shaq, Barkley, Laimbeer, Ewing, Ostertag, Malone, Daughtery (meh), the Admiral, Antonio Davis, Sampson (I think), Shawn Kemp, the Atlanta Hawks and the entire New York Knicks.
Great edit- fun to see all of the similar dunks and shots, etc lined up in bursts. What's even better is all of these are from the 90's when people thought he went to jumpers and shied away from the hoop. Fantastic video.
I not about you doing the same things no two persons are alike. It's how proficient and easily one can his craft that makes him a master. The fact of body weight and physics will not allow lebron to do what Jordan does and it's also the same for Jordan when it comes to Lebron. Jordan can't do something's the Lebron can due to physic and body types. But Lebron does need to because he's just a bigger specimen who is fast, jump just as high it not higher, hang time, and everything. But doesn't needs the finest due to his strenght. Like boxing Ali was big and fast like a light weight which is unusual. Due to power Ali move more had finest. Mike Tyson smaller but had power didn't need to move as much. That's LeBron and Micheal Jordan. They both do what they do well but different.
Watching MJ back in the 80's and 90's...he made you believe that super heroes do indeed exist, and people really could fly! I wish I could go back in time to watch those games over, just to feel that magic for the first time again. The newer guys are really really really really really truly good, but MJ was better than good...he was magical. :) Kei
People should stop comparing MJ to anyone! LBJ nor KB have nothing on MJ. Talking about LBJ present stats in today NBA being similar/better than that of MJ in his time - are you kidding me?! LBJ wouldn't have been able to put up such number in the NBA of MJ's time. Whereas, MJ would crush all of LBJ, KB and KD's stats if he were playing in today's NBA.
This stuff don't look human! For real this is some alien stuff going on. How can someones mind make all these split second counter moved behind more counter moves. I don't even understand what I'm watching.the Best athele of all sports all time Period!
MDZ, This is one of the best MJ Vids I've ever seen put together!!! Excellent raw footage, (I'm not going to even complain about the fact that it's not in hd.) Some of these offensive moves of his I have never seen on Video before. Fantastic job, guy and the orchestrated music added to the excitement of watching the vid as well so that was an added plus. Keep them coming my friend! I'm going to subscribe to your channel right now.....
Some moves he did were inhuman😮, he was moving so quick like an animal, other players were like rather watching him other than defending , absolute dominance.
Nice. But looking at this, one gets the idea that Jordan could only dunk. Not even close. Leadership, and Defence are what definded the greatest basketball player ever.
THANK YOU! I waited the whole video...gettin chills waiting for that moment to put a stamp on the video. I wanted to cry when it didn't happen. Still a great video comp...but man I just KNEW that would be the last shot, I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. Kei
The NBA should go out of it's way and remaster every single Jordan game so we can get almost hd quality. :D
That would be badass
Amen! I'd preorder that shit!!!!
Totally agree

To the editor of this vid: Adding the assortment of one-handed grabs at the very beginning over that specific song was pure, unfiltered genius.
MJ attacked the basket like a thunderstorm, so powerful and swift that nobody was able to get in the way

I had forgotten one of the idols of my childhood. Thank you Mr. Jordan to show us what a real man is. You will never give up, you will never die.
it's just ridiculous how epic this man was! in my opinion, the greatest athlete that ever lived.
still the best mj compilation to this date!
omg, feels like just yesterday i was watching everything great happen in the 90s
Beautiful! Loved it thank you. Tuns of memories, nice to see again. In a perfect world we would have got the "golden age" in HD.
Like a huge rush that won't stop. It just keeps going and getting more and more intense. Try this with any other player and it just wouldn't work.
Been watching this since high-school. Don't take out this video youtube.
hats off to the person who made this video. excellent and well put together
Very nice compilation! I remember the Jordan of later years when he would work off the low post and perimeter. Seeing your vid though reminded me of how fast, explosive, and ferocious he was in driving to the hoop. Most players hope to get fouled. Jordan expected to score.
Great video man, one of the most talented athletes of all time, my favourite for sure.
Rare footage indeed and music is great match... Respect brother.
its a shame that hdtv wasnt available yet in MJ's days.
This is probably the best video I've ever seen
AWESOME VIDEO MAN!!! Definitely one of the best MJ videos on TH-cam!! MJ was a BEAST!!!
yo great job I never seen THESES clips and I saw allot of Jordan highlights wow.
Come Fly With Me and Playground were the VHS tapes I watched the most. A lot of ppl talk to inspire you but actions are what truly inspires.
I don't see them punking out in the 4th with 3 seconds left passing it out
every single michael jordan video i watch brings TONS of new highlights ive never seen b4. there is NOTHING this man can't do
MJ was the Ali if basketball---speed and grace combined and nobody was better at both than MJ. He moved fluidly. Shaq was the Tyson of basketball--speed and raw power.
good analogy.
Some incredible footage in there I've never seen before. Thanks! And I loved the music you chose.
Good tribute. Action packed. Great background music, sounded a lot like Pirates Of The Caribbean sometimes. Good editing.
Awesome video. It would've been epic if this was in HD. MJ is the absolute best.
Absolutely epic. Love it
This is a great. A nice change of pace from all the standard Jordan highlight reels. Shows Jordan's real intensity and drive.
Best player that has walked the earth... No BS...
True story. Although, Mike spent more time above the earth than on it...
How can someone actually dislike the best sport video and the best basketball player ever in the nba. He would consistently bring his best. More competition back then and way more physical.
It was so beautifull I was About to cry
This vid is so Epic that I religiously come back every month to view its contents and comment. Mike D should get an award for this.
Keep in mind these are all highlights from the 90s. In the 80s is when he was really dunking on people
AMAZING COLLABORATION!!! This is the most organized, rare, accurate footage of the viscous competitor, and greatest basketball player ever named Michael Jordan... Well done.
He showed the world man can fly
That hand palm sequence at the beginning is crazy, dude had unfair proportions
oh god more circus shots this guy shouldve been in cirque du soleil
Epic is an understatement after watching these highlights... Best clip ever!
see I study the game of basketball, see Jordan was born too play as you can see like Phil Jackson said his hands made a big big difference.
on how to score and he had hang time plus he had long arms speed smh.
The tools you needed and then a drive to win, cats in the NBA never had a chance lol.
God made him too play ball and that's that.
billy30001000 i Love this comment!
I wonder how good he would've been at baseball
Cursory list of notable victims in only the first half of this video:
Mutombo, Parish, Olajuwon, Mourning, Shaq, Barkley, Laimbeer, Ewing, Ostertag, Malone, Daughtery (meh), the Admiral, Antonio Davis, Sampson (I think), Shawn Kemp, the Atlanta Hawks and the entire New York Knicks.
Great edit- fun to see all of the similar dunks and shots, etc lined up in bursts. What's even better is all of these are from the 90's when people thought he went to jumpers and shied away from the hoop. Fantastic video.
If this is not fake.. and its not- this is greatness right there!
how can someone watch these an even think lebron is anywhere near Jordan lol. lebron couldn't do any of this shit man foreal
+mroboiz doubt it he flops he weak
+Chris Gauthier Not saying LBJ is better but you comparing him to MJ gives the argument merit lol.
kobe can't either
i think you forgot to take your medication today
Kei
Was glad I grew up watching #23TheGOAT play..
How could anyone not like any video from MICHAEL JORDAN?!!! ARE YOU CRAZY
Whereas, MJ would crush all of LBJ, KB and KD's stats if he were playing in today's NBA.
even tho the quality aint the greatest this was the BEST ode to Jordan ive seen in a very long time...good shit
Kobe got in a zone, mike got mad
Not anyone can pull off a 240p Epicness. Thank you MJ.
Excellent raw footage, (I'm not going to even complain about the fact that it's not in hd.)
Some of these offensive moves of his I have never seen on Video before.
Fantastic job, guy and the orchestrated music added to the excitement of watching the vid as well so that was an added plus.
Keep them coming my friend!
I'm going to subscribe to your channel right now.....
It was after watching this video when LeBron realized he wasn’t the GOAT. Turn in your #23 jersey LeBron. Your being disrespectful! Punk.
Those one-handed palming rebounds and insane lays from 1:00 to 2:30 would be so great if they could be cleaned up a bit... Very very rare
This is the video for any clowns that believe Lebron > Jordan.
Mike seem to be very kind, and one of the nicest guys you could meet. But on the court. He was a stone cold killer.
Take away his right hand and he'd be lost.
Be honest, did you watch the video?
Take away your post and we'd be happy.
And if all you had to do was take away his right hand then how did he win 10 scoring titles in 15 years?
DID HE NOT SEE ALL THOSE LEFT HANDED DUNKS?/
Lol you win the Troll of the year award, sir.
THANK YOU! I waited the whole video...gettin chills waiting for that moment to put a stamp on the video. I wanted to cry when it didn't happen.
Still a great video comp...but man I just KNEW that would be the last shot, I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.
