Call USPS, and let them know what your Post Office is doing. They take your complaint, and contact the person in charge of your Post Office. When they call explain what you just said. That you just want a receipt, as proof that your items are being dropped off. If they don't help, call USPS again, and let them know. They will fix it. I had something similar happen to me. After I contacted USPS, and the person in charge got involved the worker changed their tune real quick.
#1 The post office works for the public. Take a video next time you go and show how many people are in line. If it gets more difficult with the counter help, contact the main post office and find out how you can help them better accommodate mailing your items. Without you and other sellers, the post office would be out of business. Be polite, but firm. Good luck!

EXACTLY you having more packages doesn't mean you don't get the same service as everyone else. They really have a way of making people feel bad for bringing them business, it's unreal.
Same problem with post office, they tell me to drop them at the empty window since they are all labeled and paid for already. I did it before and they lost a package! I don’t know if it was my fault (dropped on the way in) or if they lost it (more than likely the reason, but I didn’t have a leg to stand on because I didn’t scan them in. Now I stand in line and every now and again they will say, “ I’m sorry hun, more than 3 packages, we can’t scan them all, just place them in the window! So I will just kindly say, I’m sorry, I can’t! Last time we did this you lost my package, blamed me for losing it, so I’m much more comfortable just waiting until your done scanning them so I have a receipt! They can’t tell us no, it’s their job! What I would do if I were you is speak to the higher ups and tell them that they are giving you a hard time and you don’t even feel comfortable dropping off your packages at this point. Some of them are just mean and don’t belong working with the public!
Yes, same thing! "Want to skip the line? Just drop them there"...well, I did and same thing...a small little package, never got scanned in. I never knew it didn't until the lady left me nasty feedback 2 weeks later! It was for a beanie baby goat. So she said in feedback...I NEVER got my goat!? I was like what? LOL. It was funny....to read her feedback, but not funny to my feedback reputation. So I backtracked my steps....and figured it out. yep. That was the ONE time I did leave about 5 packages at the counter where they said to because the line was ridiculous. It was near Valentines day. Anyway, so I have 1300 positive feedback (ebay) and this one bad one...for a dumb goat someone gave me to sell. LOL. I reported lost package to USPS and tried to find it. Nope never found. I lost $14 out of pocket had to refund buyer and shipping. So yes, don't trust dropping off, I agree. I thought just this once...yeah not again.
I loved “tagging along “ with you! It’s so great to see that you use a pen and paper for your to-do list, my dad did that every day of his life. When people go to the grocery store they have to wait if the person in front of them has a full cart, just like you do at the bank, restaurants, drive-throughs, all cash registers, it’s called waiting your turn. RE: Post Office drama - The only thing you're doing wrong is making money on your own time, enjoying your life, and being young and cute while they're at their miserable job. Ignore them and keep doing you and getting your coin. Call USPS customer service and let them know about the harassment. After 4 complaints, if nothing changes, file a complaint to the federal government. No one in there should be treating you like that. You (and other tax payers) pay their salaries. Don't stand for it.
I would just call a supervisor of the postal service and explain to them what is going on , don’t worry, after calling and explaining, they should be able to handle it. Stay Blessed!🌹

The PO is wrong, and it's up to you to "suggest" that it's your right as a paying customer to bring your packages in. Sounds like they're lazy. Have it planned out in your head what to say, smile and maintain eye contact the entire time and you'll probably win them over. If you still meet with resistance ask who the boss's boss is so you can take it up with him - smiling the whole time. They're messing with you because you're young, imo, and they're miserable. They know you're succeeding, evidenced by the number of packages and they probably hate that, sadly. You got this. Great video!
Poshmark added a new feature a bit ago where you an download all of your shipping labels at once and they get e mailed to you so you dont have to click print on each individual sale!
As far as your post office problem, I find that the employees at the post office are far less flustered and stressed in the morning. I take my shipping first thing in the morning between 8-9 and things go much smoother.
Your scale should have a button on the side that you press when weighing larger packages and it will save the weight on the scale if you press it. Hope this is helpful! 😊
I used to have so much trouble with a post office near my job that I shipped from multiple days a week. They always gave me an issue with the boxes, they said I could not use”flat rate” boxes even though the poshmark labels said I could and I even brought a note from poshmark. They would also tell me that the date on the label HAD to match the date I dropped it off. I said so if I sell something at 11 PM at night, how would I ship it when the post office is closed?? They just always gave me such a hard time and were rude. Since I now work from home I go to a different post office, and they are so so kind!! They don’t give me any issues, and they are actually friendly. So if you can go to a different post office by chance, I hope they treat you better!
I also deal with a very small post office but luckily they are really kind and thankful for my business. I have had issues with other post offices in the past. Sometimes you have to go up the chain of command. I'd try to contact their corporate office and tell them you've already tried going through the post master. So sorry you're dealing with this!!
So sorry your local post office was so nasty. I have had a similar experience. These workers are simply lazy. You are literally putting money in their pocket. I switched post offices. Even though the new location is a bit out of my way it’s completely worth it. Now the workers at my new location are super welcoming and friendly. I also would complain. I've run into post office workers with bad attitudes. It's their job and scanning takes little to no time. Continue doing what your doing and call a supervisor if they give you a hard time!
It sounds like the post office people are mad because they have to do their job?? Like you bringing them packages literally gives them a job. I would say schedule a pickup but I stopped doing that because they don’t always scan the packages in. I agree that the packages you’re sending are valuable. They pay your bills. So they just need to deal 🤷🏼♀️ that grinded my gears to because my post office is the same way but I will wait for my receipt every time.
Another option is to ask them how many packages they can scan at a time, and then scan those numbers and stand in line again to scan the rest until it's all done. That's what I do, they said it works for them. For my it's 10 maximum at a time, and I stand in line again for the remaining until it's all done.
I use a very small post office, They have an area set up to the side for those who have a lot of packages to scan separately from those at the regular counter. You might want to give them that idea. Or change post offices if at all possible. Never give in. We half to have proof that these items are shipped. And my post office for being small does a huge amount of business.
Yes! Package pick ups are great but they usually pick up around 9AM and I finish filming the "ship with me" videos in the afternoons. I ike to get the packages scanned in before driving back across town. Otherwise my parents would have to move them all outside the next morning which I wouldn't want to ask them to do. If you need to weigh packages stand on the scale and weigh yourself then pick up the package and weigh yourself with the item again and you can accurately figure out the weight of the package if you minus your weight from the weight with the package in your arms! I used to work for ups and that’s what customers used to tell me they would do so that might work for ya.
I haven't been too happy with my post office either. It is a smaller post office but it is right by my house so it's convenient. But lately they have been refusing to take my packages because they are in a flat rate box but don't have a flat rate label. These are Poshmark packages so it says right on the bottom that I can use any flat rate box. I tried to explain this to them but they still refuse to take them so I just have them picked up directly from my house. So sorry to hear that you are having an issue as well.
I had that same issue here in AL. I explained it to her thoroughly and even showed her the shipping FAQs on Posh. After that, I use a bright yellow highlighter to highlight the disclaimer
Sorry you are experiencing attitude from the post office. I had the same thing happen to me. After waiting in line for a half hour, I only had one package this day, I was told by the clerk at the counter, as of Jan 2021, he could not scan my package or give me a receipt. He would not even take my package and place it in the bin behind the counter. I had to leave the counter and go to the door with the bin and toss it in-with no receipt. I was stunned and didn’t have words. I was in complete disbelief. Like you, I felt my transaction was simple compared to the customers with out prepaid labels/packages. I was informed that the post office was no longer accepting prepaid packages at the counter and I could only receive a receipt if I went to a post office with a self-serve kiosk. The closest kiosk is a half hour away. My drop off now takes an hour round trip. I make the best of it and plan my shipping days around by errands or sourcing. I did search online to find out about this new “policy” and did not find anything. And it does not seem to be consistent from city to city or state to state. I cannot schedule a pick up at my condo. My mail is not delivered to my place, rather to a row of lockers centrally located. Even if I could have my packages picked up the mail delivery time is very inconsistent and I can’t wait for a pickup (and again no receipt would be given). Again, I’m very sorry. I do appreciate you sharing your frustration. Prior to you sharing I heard very little about this change and was puzzled. Hug and snacks to feel better! 💕🤗
That bedding haul just keeps giving and giving! I think you've talked about them in over 4 videos I've watched so far. What an amazing find! I hope that the bedding sales makes your day a little better! It's sucky of the post office staff to give you a hard time. It's their job to scan things if people want to have them scanned. Then one day there was a new woman working there and she was rude. She did the same thing to me, said I had too many packages to scan and I needed to drop them in the bin. I also tried to explain that I needed a receipt. So I started putting in a request for pick up service on the website. Now my postman knocks on my door and I hand him my packages. So much easier than having to go to the post office. However, the other day I was leaving my house to go thrifting and wasn’t gonna be home so I drop them off at the post office. And to my surprise that rude women wasn’t there. Her coworker said she was off on leave and was gonna be retiring soon! 😊 She was the only one who has ever given me a hard time about scanning my packages. And one day I finally had had enough of her and told her she was the only one in all the years of selling. She didn’t care how I felt and told me if I didn’t like it talk with her supervisor because they were short handed. You should try putting in a request for pick up and see if that works better for you. The only down side to it is sometimes they don’t scan the packages immediately but you’ll receive notification later in the evening for each one showing they’ve been scanned. Hope this info helps. 😊
This is what I did, and might be something you could look into? I made nice with my mailman. The one who does my at home pickups most days unless he’s off for whatever reason. I just told him what I do as far as my reselling and how extremely helpful it is to have my packages scanned right away. He happily does this for me now, because I was having problems with my packages not getting scanned sometimes until the early hours of the next day when he just brought them in and dropped them off. And as far as a manifest, the PO has one that you should be able to print out and fill in...but you only need one if you have over a certain number of items...I’m not sure what that number is. I hope you get this resolved because this would be awful to have to deal with as often as you go there. Best of luck!

I rarely have something lost in the mail so I just arrange to have the mailman pickup at my house or drop off on the counter at the post office. Standing in line at the post office is a hassle I don't need in my life. Especially when I ship 5 days a week.
Your situation with your post office is WILD! SO sorry about that. My husband and I are resellers and they will open another lane just for us when we walk in and they are always so nice about it. Most of the time the other people in there are always curious about what we do for work. On top of that we DO have a kiosk and I don't like to use it because the bin the packages get dropped in only get sorted when they have time so sometimes packages don't go out that same day. I hope your situation is better now :)
Same thing happened to me at my local post office.My bf works at post office delivering mail and I told him, and he said they’re either lazy or just don’t want to do it. I started going to a different one about 8 mins further where they have the self service machine. Way better.
I have made complaints on the online website and they get talked to and generally clean up their act. They don’t like to get chewed out. You’re not doing anything wrong so don’t let it get to you. They are supposed to work for us but not anymore. I have one that complains cause I make pkgs too small when it's little and unbreakable. I just told her that if usps wasn't so dang high we wouldn't try to make them so small! Nobody has enough workers so the ones they have get away with treating their customers that way. Little tip for future reference when you can't see the weight of a package on the scale -- there is a little button labeled "hold" on the right side of the scale. When your box is on top you can press that button, then remove the box so you can see what the weight is!
I have a tiny post office too. I live in a really small town. I set up a system where I just drop my packages off and they hold my receipts for me. I go there every day so I just pick up my receipt the following day. The people that work at my PO aren’t jerks though lol.

Most scales have a hold button at the end of them that you can push when you can’t see the weight. You push that button and then when you remove the box the weight is still showing.
Can you go to a different post office location? Maybe ask them up front "can you please explain to me what the issue is? Don't be afraid to ask! Love your videos🙂💗
After filming the "ship with me" videos, it's usually late in the afternoon so I have to get them dropped off quickly and it's the only PO close to my office unfortunately. I have asked the Postmaster himself what I am doing wrong and he basically just says in a very roundabout and rude way that it's inconvenient for them to scan in so many packages haha. It's all pretty ridiculous but hopefully it gets resolved soon! Thank you for your comment and for watching :)

I would say I’m sorry this is inconvenient for you but it is your job to except packages and run this post office until closing time it is not closing time yet so the quicker you get my packages scanned in the quicker we all can leave at as it is your job to do so say it nicely but in a way I would be rude just like him.
I scan my packages in at the kiosk now. I rarely ever stand in line anymore. I get my receipt from the kiosk and drop them in the drop box. Click "other services" ➡️ "scan prepaid package" & then follow the prompts from there. Easy peasy and I don't have to deal with anyone 😅
I literally just upgraded my scale from the same kitchen scale to the same electric scale. You have a hold button on the side of your scale so you don't have to build a platform. 😊
If you can’t read the scale because of a large package, just hit the hold button on the right side of the scale. When you remove the package, the weight will still be displayed.
OMG.. that Post Office nonsense is horrible! I’m so happy I don’t deal with anything like they! My Post Office is great. They greet me, we laugh and talk, there are a few resellers that go to that location and they look for us everyday. Like if I’m late getting there they’ll say “ oh, thought we weren’t gonna see you today”! Such nice people! I hope your situation changes and your trip to the Post doesn’t have to be the worst part of your day!

I used to drop off my packages but I had some packages lost and I didn’t have proof that I dropped them so I now wait in line for a scanned receipt , also issues with the post office telling me that I can’t use the flat rate boxes and I have to point out to them what the shipping label says. Any who loved hanging out with you 😊 and by the way I love how your able to hang your inventory, wish I had the space.
Hello. Love this video and seeing other people's procedures. You are definitely more organized than I am. There should be a button on the side of your scale. When an item is too big to see the reading just press that button and it saves the weight. You'll be able to see it when you take the package off.

I was just telling my husband how lucky I am to have a great post office near me! Just explain to the postal workers that this is your job and they are a major part of it! Is there another post office not too much farther away???? Plus it is their job to scan them! They should be happy they have a job!!!
You're not doing anything wrong. I always take my packages to the Post Office for a receipt. As you correctly pointed out, you need the receipt to show that the Post Office received your packages and it's their responsibility now. Good advice from commenters. You need to call consumer affairs. They are getting paid to do what ya asked them to do . If you don’t report it their bosses that’s management will not know what is going on. I’m retired postal employee. I have a small post office in my town . You get a number when you file this they will follow up on it Guarantee that’s their job to wait on you revenue for them . Please call and report them I did I don’t have that problem anymore. Keep doing what you do . Love your videos.

Thanks for the video! I would certainly hold your ground on them scanning your packages. If they don't scan them, there is no record of them receiving it. Millions of people do this everyday. It sounds like they are impatient and think they can push you around. Maybe contact the regional postmaster or ask them for documentation that they require a shipping manifest or documentation of a limit on how many items they will scan. It seems when you ask someone to back up their words, they give in. Your comparison of your lunch to the photo was hilarious! Love your mom's accent 😊
I have been having similar issues with my post office as well. I do a schedule pick up and when he does not scan the packages it does not show up on Poshmark. So I get harassing emails from Poshmark stating that I have yet to deliver it and it looks bad on me. then it gets delivered the next day. I’ve even had them hold the item for up to six days and then they miraculously find it I guess at the post office which is very frustrating so I understand why you’d want to get a receipt to cover your butt which is a very good way of doing things and unfortunately for the post office they are going to have to just continue doing their job because we are the customers want a receipt which is not too much to ask for they are just gonna have to deal with the one person in line lol.
Totally enjoyed. I’m sorry, but I know supposedly the post offices(systems) are under a lot of stress and understaffed, mostly since COVID hit, but , they should be grateful that they have a job. That is their job, and they should appreciate that you get a receipt, in the event that something does go missing. It can in the end save them a lot of extra hassle with claims. Just my opinion. I’ve never worked for the USPS, so I could be completely wrong in stating my opinion. If they have a better solution, then they should provide it. You are as important as the next person in line.
You can scan the packages onto your phone with usps app to track them, but they can’t refuse to scan in your packages. I usually schedule a pickup, I’m not sure if that is a possibility for you, but it’s helped me a ton.
We have one post office that refuses to scan..you have to throw your packages in a big bin..I will go to other post offices..luckily, there are many in my area..I want the scanned receipt.
Your taxes pay for the service. Yes a video of their attitudes. They can send a pickup, create a scan station etc. make sure your complaint goes to the online & not to that location. Keep feeding the complaints thru. They have contacted me on mine b4. Another note, I have been using my phone for photos but have a great camera I could be using. A photo session video?

The pronunciation of Nikon varies regionally. I guess that was why you stumbled over it. Apparently the company accepts all variants. In the usa you say Neye-kon. In the um we say Nick-on. Many others are correct

Sorry they’re giving you a hard time I have about 4 post offices I go to, some are a drive but it’s worth it for good service. I always want to get receipt too. It’s super important to me. You may have to go to another one even if it’s far, just for peace of mind and to get good customer service. And try to make a friend with one of the postal workers, it helps when they know you by name. Hope everything works out. You’re killing it.

Can’t believe the post master said that. Some of workers at my post office were being rude about it so I told them this is your job and I talked to the post master and I explained the same thing your saying some items are expensive this is my business I need proof I dropped off the packages because the post office is always loosing packages and I’m not going to lose money because they don’t want to scan packages. The post master said you should not be made to feel uncomfortable it’s their job they have to scan your packages if you have any more problems let me know. Now when I go I can tell some of them are not happy to do it but now they won’t say anything they just do it.

Wrong, tax payers DO NOT pay postal salaries. Revenue is generated thru sales. Google is your friend.

Watching this video 2 years later and just wanted to say that now my PO has a machine where I can scan my own items and get a receipt! I’d rather do it myself than stand in line!
The PO is wrong, and it's up to you to "suggest" that it's your right as a paying customer to bring your packages in. Sounds like they're lazy. Have it planned out in your head what to say, smile and maintain eye contact the entire time and you'll probably win them over. If you still meet with resistance ask who the boss's boss is so you can take it up with him - smiling the whole time. They're messing with you because you're young, imo, and they're miserable. They know you're succeeding, evidenced by the number of packages and they probably hate that, sadly. You got this. Great video!
Poshmark added a new feature a bit ago where you an download all of your shipping labels at once and they get e mailed to you so you dont have to click print on each individual sale!

As far as your post office problem, I find that the employees at the post office are far less flustered and stressed in the morning. I take my shipping first thing in the morning between 8-9 and things go much smoother.
Your scale should have a button on the side that you press when weighing larger packages and it will save the weight on the scale if you press it. Hope this is helpful! 😊
I used to have so much trouble with a post office near my job that I shipped from multiple days a week. They always gave me an issue with the boxes, they said I could not use”flat rate” boxes even though the poshmark labels said I could and I even brought a note from poshmark. They would also tell me that the date on the label HAD to match the date I dropped it off. I said so if I sell something at 11 PM at night, how would I ship it when the post office is closed?? They just always gave me such a hard time and were rude. Since I now work from home I go to a different post office, and they are so so kind!! They don’t give me any issues, and they are actually friendly. So if you can go to a different post office by chance, I hope they treat you better!

I also deal with a very small post office but luckily they are really kind and thankful for my business. I have had issues with other post offices in the past. Sometimes you have to go up the chain of command. I'd try to contact their corporate office and tell them you've already tried going through the post master. So sorry you're dealing with this!!
So sorry your local post office was so nasty. I have had a similar experience. These workers are simply lazy. You are literally putting money in their pocket. I switched post offices. Even though the new location is a bit out of my way it’s completely worth it. Now the workers at my new location are super welcoming and friendly. I also would complain. Your scale should have a "hold" weight feature. Check the sides. Love your videos, btw😊

I've run into post office workers with bad attitudes. It's their job and scanning takes little to no time. Continue doing what your doing and call a supervisor if they give you a hard time!
It sounds like the post office people are mad because they have to do their job?? Like you bringing them packages literally gives them a job. I would say schedule a pickup but I stopped doing that because they don’t always scan the packages in. I agree that the packages you’re sending are valuable. They pay your bills. So they just need to deal 🤷🏼♀️ that grinded my gears to because my post office is the same way but I will wait for my receipt every time.
Another option is to ask them how many packages they can scan at a time, and then scan those numbers and stand in line again to scan the rest until it's all done. That's what I do, they said it works for them. For my it's 10 maximum at a time, and I stand in line again for the remaining until it's all done.
I use a very small post office, They have an area set up to the side for those who have a lot of packages to scan separately from those at the regular counter. You might want to give them that idea. Or change post offices if at all possible. Never give in. We half to have proof that these items are shipped. And my post office for being small does a huge amount of business.
I know some people schedule an appointment where a post truck comes to your house and picks up items from your house, I think you can research that
Yes! Package pick ups are great but they usually pick up around 9AM and I finish filming the "ship with me" videos in the afternoons. I ike to get the packages scanned in before driving back across town. Otherwise my parents would have to move them all outside the next morning which I wouldn't want to ask them to do. If you need to weigh packages stand on the scale and weigh yourself then pick up the package and weigh yourself with the item again and you can accurately figure out the weight of the package if you minus your weight from the weight with the package in your arms! I used to work for ups and that’s what customers used to tell me they would do so that might work for ya.

I haven't been too happy with my post office either. It is a smaller post office but it is right by my house so it's convenient. But lately they have been refusing to take my packages because they are in a flat rate box but don't have a flat rate label. These are Poshmark packages so it says right on the bottom that I can use any flat rate box. I tried to explain this to them but they still refuse to take them so I just have them picked up directly from my house. So sorry to hear that you are having an issue as well.
I had that same issue here in AL. I explained it to her thoroughly and even showed her the shipping FAQs on Posh. After that, I use a bright yellow highlighter to highlight the disclaimer
Sorry you are experiencing attitude from the post office. I had the same thing happen to me. After waiting in line for a half hour, I only had one package this day, I was told by the clerk at the counter, as of Jan 2021, he could not scan my package or give me a receipt. He would not even take my package and place it in the bin behind the counter. I had to leave the counter and go to the door with the bin and toss it in-with no receipt. I was stunned and didn’t have words. I was in complete disbelief. Like you, I felt my transaction was simple compared to the customers with out prepaid labels/packages. I was informed that the post office was no longer accepting prepaid packages at the counter and I could only receive a receipt if I went to a post office with a self-serve kiosk. The closest kiosk is a half hour away. My drop off now takes an hour round trip. I make the best of it and plan my shipping days around by errands or sourcing. I did search online to find out about this new “policy” and did not find anything. And it does not seem to be consistent from city to city or state to state. I cannot schedule a pick up at my condo. My mail is not delivered to my place, rather to a row of lockers centrally located. Even if I could have my packages picked up the mail delivery time is very inconsistent and I can’t wait for a pickup (and again no receipt would be given). Again, I’m very sorry. I do appreciate you sharing your frustration. Prior to you sharing I heard very little about this change and was puzzled. Hug and snacks to feel better! 💕🤗

Enjoy watching your videos 😊 I can relate to your issue with the post office. I used to take my packages in to my local post office, which is right around the corner from my home. Then one day there was a new woman working there and she was rude. She did the same thing to me, said I had too many packages to scan and I needed to drop them in the bin. I also tried to explain that I needed a receipt. So I started putting in a request for pick up service on the website. Now my postman knocks on my door and I hand him my packages. So much easier than having to go to the post office. However, the other day I was leaving my house to go thrifting and wasn’t gonna be home so I drop them off at the post office. And to my surprise that rude women wasn’t there. Her coworker said she was off on leave and was gonna be retiring soon! 😊 She was the only one who has ever given me a hard time about scanning my packages. And one day I finally had had enough of her and told her she was the only one in all the years of selling. She didn’t care how I felt and told me if I didn’t like it talk with her supervisor because they were short handed. You should try putting in a request for pick up and see if that works better for you. The only down side to it is sometimes they don’t scan the packages immediately but you’ll receive notification later in the evening for each one showing they’ve been scanned. Hope this info helps. 😊
This is what I did, and might be something you could look into? I made nice with my mailman. The one who does my at home pickups most days unless he’s off for whatever reason. I just told him what I do as far as my reselling and how extremely helpful it is to have my packages scanned right away. He happily does this for me now, because I was having problems with my packages not getting scanned sometimes until the early hours of the next day when he just brought them in and dropped them off. And as far as a manifest, the PO has one that you should be able to print out and fill in...but you only need one if you have over a certain number of items...I’m not sure what that number is. I hope you get this resolved because this would be awful to have to deal with as often as you go there. Best of luck!

I rarely have something lost in the mail so I just arrange to have the mailman pickup at my house or drop off on the counter at the post office. Standing in line at the post office is a hassle I don't need in my life. Especially when I ship 5 days a week.
Your situation with your post office is WILD! SO sorry about that. My husband and I are resellers and they will open another lane just for us when we walk in and they are always so nice about it. Most of the time the other people in there are always curious about what we do for work. On top of that we DO have a kiosk and I don't like to use it because the bin the packages get dropped in only get sorted when they have time so sometimes packages don't go out that same day. I hope your situation is better now :)
Same thing happened to me at my local post office.My bf works at post office delivering mail and I told him, and he said they’re either lazy or just don’t want to do it. I started going to a different one about 8 mins further where they have the self service machine. Way better.
I have made complaints on the online website and they get talked to and generally clean up their act. They don’t like to get chewed out. You’re not doing anything wrong so don’t let it get to you. I just told her that if usps wasn't so dang high we wouldn't try to make them so small! Nobody has enough workers so the ones they have get away with treating their customers that way. Little tip for future reference when you can't see the weight of a package on the scale -- there is a little button labeled "hold" on the right side of the scale. When your box is on top you can press that button, then remove the box so you can see what the weight is!

I have a tiny post office too. I live in a really small town. I set up a system where I just drop my packages off and they hold my receipts for me. I go there every day so I just pick up my receipt the following day. The people that work at my PO aren’t jerks though lol.

Most scales have a hold button at the end of them that you can push when you can’t see the weight. You push that button and then when you remove the box the weight is still showing.

After filming the "ship with me" videos, it's usually late in the afternoon so I have to get them dropped off quickly and it's the only PO close to my office unfortunately. I have asked the Postmaster himself what I am doing wrong and he basically just says in a very roundabout and rude way that it's inconvenient for them to scan in so many packages haha. It's all pretty ridiculous but hopefully it gets resolved soon! Thank you for your comment and for watching :)

I would say I’m sorry this is inconvenient for you but it is your job to except packages and run this post office until closing time it is not closing time yet so the quicker you get my packages scanned in the quicker we all can leave at as it is your job to do so say it nicely but in a way I would be rude just like him.
I scan my packages in at the kiosk now. I rarely ever stand in line anymore. I get my receipt from the kiosk and drop them in the drop box. Click "other services" ➡️ "scan prepaid package" & then follow the prompts from there. Easy peasy and I don't have to deal with anyone 😅
I even use my postal receipt to write on the back of it my mileage to have a paper trail for it too.
I like how you keep up with your personal style. I imagine that helps when picking things out.
I literally just upgraded my scale from the same kitchen scale to the same electric scale. You have a hold button on the side of your scale so you don't have to build a platform. 😊

If you can’t read the scale because of a large package, just hit the hold button on the right side of the scale. When you remove the package, the weight will still be displayed.
OMG.. that Post Office nonsense is horrible! I’m so happy I don’t deal with anything like they! My Post Office is great. They greet me, we laugh and talk, there are a few resellers that go to that location and they look for us everyday. Like if I’m late getting there they’ll say “ oh, thought we weren’t gonna see you today”! Such nice people! I hope your situation changes and your trip to the Post doesn’t have to be the worst part of your day!

I used to drop off my packages but I had some packages lost and I didn’t have proof that I dropped them so I now wait in line for a scanned receipt , also issues with the post office telling me that I can’t use the flat rate boxes and I have to point out to them what the shipping label says. Hello. Love this video and seeing other people's procedures. You are definitely more organized than I am. There should be a button on the side of your scale. When an item is too big to see the reading just press that button and it saves the weight. You'll be able to see it when you take the package off.

I was just telling my husband how lucky I am to have a great post office near me! Just explain to the postal workers that this is your job and they are a major part of it! Is there another post office not too much farther away???? Plus it is their job to scan them! They should be happy they have a job!!!
You're not doing anything wrong. I always take my packages to the Post Office for a receipt. As you correctly pointed out, you need the receipt to show that the Post Office received your packages and it's their responsibility now. Good advice from commenters. BTW, love Amy's cheese enchilada dinners. Restaurant quality!
You need to call consumer affairs. They are getting paid to do what ya asked them to do . If you don’t report it their bosses that’s management will not know what is going on.
I’m retired postal employee. I have a small post office in my town . You get a number when you file this they will follow up on it
Guarantee that’s their job to wait on you revenue for them . Please call and report them

Thanks for the video! I would certainly hold your ground on them scanning your packages. If they don't scan them, there is no record of them receiving it. Millions of people do this everyday. It sounds like they are impatient and think they can push you around. Maybe contact the regional postmaster or ask them for documentation that they require a shipping manifest or documentation of a limit on how many items they will scan. It seems when you ask someone to back up their words, they give in. Your comparison of your lunch to the photo was hilarious! Love your mom's accent 😊

I have been having similar issues with my post office as well. I do a schedule pick up and when he does not scan the packages it does not show up on Poshmark. So I get harassing emails from Poshmark stating that I have yet to deliver it and it looks bad on me. then it gets delivered the next day. I’ve even had them hold the item for up to six days and then they miraculously find it I guess at the post office which is very frustrating so I understand why you’d want to get a receipt to cover your butt which is a very good way of doing things and unfortunately for the post office they are going to have to just continue doing their job because we are the customers want a receipt which is not too much to ask for they are just gonna have to deal with the one person in line lol.
Totally enjoyed. I’m sorry, but I know supposedly the post offices(systems) are under a lot of stress and understaffed, mostly since COVID hit, but , they should be grateful that they have a job. That is their job, and they should appreciate that you get a receipt, in the event that something does go missing. It can in the end save them a lot of extra hassle with claims. Just my opinion. I’ve never worked for the USPS, so I could be completely wrong in stating my opinion. If they have a better solution, then they should provide it. You are as important as the next person in line.
You can scan the packages onto your phone with usps app to track them, but they can’t refuse to scan in your packages. I usually schedule a pickup, I’m not sure if that is a possibility for you, but it’s helped me a ton.
We have one post office that refuses to scan..you have to throw your packages in a big bin..I will go to other post offices..luckily, there are many in my area..I want the scanned receipt.

Your taxes pay for the service. Yes a video of their attitudes. They can send a pickup, create a scan station etc. make sure your complaint goes to the online & not to that location. Keep feeding the complaints thru. They have contacted me on mine b4. Another note, I have been using my phone for photos but have a great camera I could be using. A photo session video?

I consider myself so lucky that the post office’s that I do visit are very patient and accommodating to me ! they recently did get the self-serve kiosk which has been one of the best things that has ever happened at my post office so I no longer have to stand in the long lines! Hopefully your post office will get one soon
Sorry they’re giving you a hard time I have about 4 post offices I go to, some are a drive but it’s worth it for good service. I always want to get receipt too. It’s super important to me. You may have to go to another one even if it’s far, just for peace of mind and to get good customer service. And try to make a friend with one of the postal workers, it helps when they know you by name. Hope everything works out. You’re killing it.

Schedule with online USPS and have your Mail Carrier pick them up and give them a Tip once in awhile for doing it for you that's what I do, or go to another near by Post Office. Good Luck. Really like and Appreciate your your Videos

I feel like you're very nice and try to avoid conflict when it's possible:( You're a customer too! I wish there was a way to file a complaint on their website or something like that.
Can’t believe the post master said that. Some of workers at my post office were being rude about it so I told them this is your job and I talked to the post master and I explained the same thing your saying some items are expensive this is my business I need proof I dropped off the packages because the post office is always loosing packages and I’m not going to lose money because they don’t want to scan packages. The post master said you should not be made to feel uncomfortable it’s their job they have to scan your packages if you have any more problems let me know. Now when I go I can tell some of them are not happy to do it but now they won’t say anything they just do it.
