Liked before I even watched the whole video, to see a creator post their mistakes and show that they are infact not perfect and still need to continue to practice even when they’re successful is amazing so thankyou❤
Bad nail days take me out every single time especially when I’m jumping for joy because I’m so exited to do that design so I definitely understand what you went through 😅
5:52 little tip for forms, don’t remove it from the backing until you size it. Cut to separate back tabs, remove the circle and set aside then you can make sure it fits and do any adaptions to the form, cuts etc without the stickiness getting in the way. If the tabs are very overlapping in your finger it is generally pointing down too far. You definitely improved as you went along. C curves are our friend!! Lifting the sidewalls when shaping will help. Great video, we all make mistakes and it’s nice to see. Thank you! 🙏
U just said exactly what I was going to tell u that u have to size up and the forms u could do them but have to learn how to properly use them I’ve got faith in u Vic 😊😊
I love the video Vic! 💜 So real! I have 8 big bottles of Morovan Polygel from when I first started diy nails & I haven't used them in so long cuz they are sO runny & aggy to work with 😭 it feels like such a waste tho 😕 Any ideas what to do with all the extra polygel?
Morovan I have noticed has an odd texture. It is highly reactive to room temperature. If you keep the room cold, it’s very stiff and a real pain. If it’s warm, it tends to be runny and difficult to shape. There isn’t a whole lot of middle ground. I only have 2 tubes of that brand.
Hey girl don’t be so hard on yourself morovan products have always been more on the weird textured side for me you did a whole hand with this product I would of given up and the design in the end is so cute even if you don’t think it’s that good it’s that good girl !! It’s okay just try again you will get it I believe in you!!
Tysm vic ❤ i was abt to buy this kit but until i heard abt ur experience abt this ! I wasnt sure if my brush was gonna like be ruined bc these kinds of polygel would ruin my brushes. Thank you viccc!!!❤
Just pretend like you’re working with really goopy hard gel, and always keep your cuticle pointed up so gravity won’t allow for the polygel to flood into the cuticle
You have a gift for nails cause I stopped with poly gel 😂 I got that brands solid gel kit for my mom. It gets sticky a little & it gets a little opaque in certain areas when trying to build a nail with it but it’s workable. But I do want to try poly gel cause I want to do ombré & idk it I can make non stick builder gel into an ombré nail
Do you have any monomer on hand? If so, you might be able to refresh your brush that way. Be very careful about boiling water, immerse the fibers ONLY not the base where they attach by glue, or that will ruin it by possibly melting the glue. You can submerge in the monomer though, so try that first if you can. I don't like this polygel, had the same experience as you and it put my off polygel at first. I bought better polygel and then it became my favorite medium. To be fair, that was like 4 years ago, but I don't think the formulation has changed based on what I've seen here.
What nail glue do you recommend? (Or nail polish to glue press on nails) because mine never really works and the nails just come off whenever I touch something with my hands😅. Or where can I get a nail glue that I cure under uv light pls?
I've never liked those clear nail forms. They're hard to work with. I think you should try again but with a better grade paper form. With the dual forms, you just have to add more inside instead of trying to keep it thin. Cinnamoroll is not my thing, but I think you did a pretty good job. I liked this video a lot. The thumb was a little thick, though, lol. 💜
You used to much polygel. To much of everything. And you work the polygel wrong from the beginning. When I don't know how to work with some instruments , I watch videos in TH-cam. I recommend you do the same.. Just keep trying and you will become better with it. 😅😅😅😊😊
okay, i think that the reason you dont like the nail kit enough is bc of the set you did even though that has nothing to do with the actual gel itself, i think morovan is a good brand and that its good but you just needed to do a more simple nail set. no hate to you at all tho, love your vids and youre super talkented, best of luck!!
Dang girl the struggle was real for this one. Not that I'm a professional but I can give you a couple tips if that's alright... first the dual forms, if you had initially put a thicker layer in the form to start with you would have been all good. As for the heart, I would have attempted to do in 2 parts. Half and half so to speak. I think it might have been a little easier. Also the bigger clouds, maybe if you had made them like you did the smaller ones? With a few separate bigger balls to start out with? Idk just my thoughts as I watched you. Honestly I think you were over thinking in the end because they were looking just fine from what I saw. ❤
Aw thanks for this awesome message, you actually gave some really good tips to do the nail art from a different perspective. I think making the heart in 2 parts totally would have been easier. I wish I tried that😭 And also making the clouds in separate beads would have been a great idea. If I ever reattempt, I’ll give these methods a try, thank you!
I love the jelly nudes by morovan. However thier polygel? I had the exact problems you did. I thought it was a me problem. I hated it. The flooding everything was so bad. 😭
I feel like you put your nails forms way too low. There shouldn’t be a gap between your natural nails and the form otherwise you make them curve down and waste product
I was sharing my experience and thoughts while using this kit and trying different techniques to apply the polygel than I’m used to. If there’s something about the kit I didn’t like, then I said it. If I was having trouble while doing the nails, then I said it. I assume you came to this video to see me test out the kit, and that’s what I did. This video is meant to help others learn from my mistakes and know that it’s ok to have bad nail days. Sorry this video wasn’t for you🫶
I think the cloud would have been better if you had used like a clear builder and just mixed a bit of white gel in. Then you could have secured the charms on the nail then filled in around them with a liner brush using the gel, which would have achieved the puffy clouds look. Just a though 🤷🏿
Crazy it came with ALL of that for only ten bucks. I hate those caterpillar shaped nail forms! 🐛🐛🐛😩😩🤣🤣 I actually kinda like Morovans gels, I have some that didn't come with anything else, it was just a set of like twelve gels and I am pretty sure I paid less than $10 for them all. They are kinda soft but I got a tip to put them in a bowl of ice for about 15/20 mins before using and they firm up really nice! You might not care to do all of that though...im just a cheapo, no matter that I paid less than 10 bucks 😂😂 I also started doing two beads using Morovan gels.I do prefer Markartt more even though I still use Morovan. love the video though. Mistakes makes it relatable 💯
maybe it’s flooding your cuticle area because you put a lot of poly gel on one nail. also it may be runny because of the temperature of the room your in.
Honestly Vic, I don't think it was so bad. The polygel was Super clear and although the texture looked soft it didn't look runny at all... I think it was just a learning curve bcuz you're so Super Amazing at forming the nails with tips (which is really difficult for most) and not used to other methods... But I love that you didn't give up AND you shared it with Us🫶🏾
Omg I LITERALLY just received a kit similar to this one, a American brand. I couldn't even finish 2 nails and I put all my nail stuff back. It was my first time, but I'll try again once I get another brush. Definitely a fail for me😤
Aww I’m sorry to hear that. Don’t worry though, just keep practicing and don’t be discouraged. It takes practice and patience (I did not have much patience in this vid lol) and you will eventually get better and better. Don’t give up now and remember it’s alright to take a break from it, but always give it another try. I believe in you!❤️
@NailsByVic awww 🥹🫶🏽 thank you so much!!! I will try again today with an acrylic brush. I'm glad I just came across your channel the other day. I've Watching and loving your work. You're truly the sweetest and super talented. 💗 ✨️💗

ME TOO
You have to admit that with all the issues put aside, the polygel is really clear.
No I agree with you, I was not upset about the clearness, so at least there’s something good about the polygel lol
Viccc you’re supposed to take the circles sticker from the nail form and stick it to the back of the nail form to give it structure 😭😅
I like when the mistakes are left in, reminds me that stuff can't always be perfect. U live & u learn 😌
With the livestreams and new videos, you keep getting us fed!!!! We appreciate you Vic!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you for that. Im trying my best😫 hope you get a laugh out of this one lol

I add tips to my nails for extra strength. Also a little more product on the forms. Love it!
The clouds on the pinky and pointer came out really pretty
At least you tell the truth about the kits. Some videos make it look so easy and perfect. It is not always perfect.
I really want you to try again!! I know you can do it and it will be SO cute!! Please don’t give up!! ❤❤
Glad you posted it anyway. I tried the cloud and it was so easy and SO CUTE!🥰
i agree i like that you admitted your mistakes a lot of people wouldn't
Not good with nail forms either but I know you’re supposed to put the circle sticker behind the actual form to help sturdy the shape

But the nail forms became hectic
Love how you kept going and didn't give up, it's so inspiring ❤
Can you do the vintage tropical nails thats trending right now? I think you would kill it!!! Love your videos 💛💛💛💛💛
I'm sorry you had a bad nail day, but that inspo picture was adorable, and I think you should try the design again!
Thanks for sharing Vic!!!!!
Those times are hard. But the ones you did are still cute.

I was sold once you shaped it 🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥
I ordered the acrylic kit(no lamp) and it works great! I think you should try it out! 10$
Heyyy I was wondering if you could make a video on neonails and I was also wondering how do you prevent clear polygel from them getting cloudy
I liked the video, the realness
Keep em coming,
Tysm vic ❤ i was abt to buy this kit but until i heard abt ur experience abt this ! I wasnt sure if my brush was gonna like be ruined bc these kinds of polygel would ruin my brushes. Thank you viccc!!!❤
Can you use water for the poly gel?
Yeahh
not for acrylic tho
I only use Makarrt for clear polygel. It's not even with trying other brands. However, Morovan has the best colors in solid builder gels.
Just pretend like you’re working with really goopy hard gel, and always keep your cuticle pointed up so gravity won’t allow for the polygel to flood into the cuticle

You dont like it cuz you are afraid of it. Practice until you perfect it. Never run from a challenge.
I can’t believe you struggled this badly!! 😩

no lol, not in this one😭

I’d really have to work up some courage for that, but honestly I don’t think it would be too bad. Sooooo maybe I’ll come back to some dual forms
