I'm the same! Because if they aren't perfect, I feel like I've failed - but try to have fun and know that you'll just get better the more you do it! Hopefully you have fun using them!

I am enjoying the polygel videos. My problem with polygel is that when I use a peel off base coat the nails don't even last on my hands for more then an hour. I wish there was an easier way to remove polygel other then all that filing and soaking. Even with full cover nail tips if I use just the smallest amount of peel off base coat I can't make it a full night with out loosing 1 or 2 nails. Instead of using peel of base coat when I do full cover nails tips I will use a gel remover and it makes it so easy to remove the nails without soaking them. It literally dissolves them. I just don't know if it works on polygel. I guess there is only one way to find and that is to try it. Great video Brandi these nails turned out great!

I’d love to see you do them without dual forms, lately I’ve been trying my hand at paper forms, and that gets petty interesting lol, but I’d watch anything you do!!❤❤❤
Another thing to point out about dualforms is that some are just HORRIBLE. Like I was so frustrated and ready to quit with my first Lofuanna polygel starter kit because I couldn't make the dual forms work and the clear was a cloudy mess. Thankfully the polygel reddit group told me to not give up and try different dualforms and I got a modelones kit and the dualforms weren't as absurdly curved and fit great...it made a WORLD of difference!! Lofuanna was just a horrible brand with horrible quality and super curved dual forms.
Yes! I haven’t tried the Modelones but my GOAY dual forms are so curved and take up so much gel to fill. Plus I have to fill a lot down cause I like my nails more straight with a very small curve~ just like natural nails~ which defeats the purpose since polygel is suppose to be a quick and easy thing yet I spend 2+ hours filing them down.

Hey Brandi 😊 what cat eye gel polish do you recommend from Amazon ? I brought 2 different brands and 1 which was the most expensive didn’t work at all and the other one was okay I guess. The one that cost the most I didn’t read the reviews because I’ve brought multiple items from this particular brand so I just got it. I’m now just going to use that one as glitter polish and definitely read the reviews regardless.
Hello , great video. This video helped a lot as to how to begin poly gel nails. I have one question, someone may be able to answer it for me. Every time she said “I cured it for a certain amount of time” did she mean cure it with the nail lamp ? The polish that came with it ? Or just let it sit for a time? 😊 thank you

It just sticks and after you cure your nail, it becomes hard like acrylic or the gel nails. Make sure you do the important part and that is prepping your nails trimming your cuticles because if you don’t lifting will definitely happen and I’ve even had them pop off rushing to get done.❤ the primer and the basecoat is what helps it adhere to the nail bed. Also, make sure you have one of the drillbits after you get done with carrying them and go around your cuticles that way it helps to format into place.
I am confused on what size dual forms to use. I have heard to make it a little bit larger than your fingernail on the sides and then I've heard to have it form fitting. What is the best size?

You can use full cover nail tips as dual forms as long as they are 100% ABS plastic. They will pop right off if they are plastic.

Do you apply a base coat after apply the peel of base coat ?
I’m not sure if you are using tips or full cover tips but I know that makes a difference as well as sealing the cuticle area.

Cured with the lamp😊 Make sure you purchase another lamp bc the one you get with the set will not work out well. It takes forever to cure

The first time I did the polygel it was on my daughter it only lasted 2 weeks I was disappointed but I'll try again
