- Having a Sunday Adventure in New York City with our family of 13. (Well almost 13, Pearl was doing a gig in Brooklyn and Josiah was doing a Handel's Messiah presentation in Pennsylvania). but they were with us in spirit! Marc made a yummy flank steak for lunch. We get ice cream and mama buys some books for the kids.
I heard Mo say very clearly "take it, take it", as he tried handing Mom the cookie for her 2nd taste. He is so good at sharing, as is the whole family. The Happy Caravan shares their life with us, and their recipes. Have a Blessed Holiday everyone.❤😊🎉

Amber, you look fabulous, and always have such a beautiful spirit. Have you ever suffered with postpartum? That was a real struggle for me. I have to say, I love seeing little man Moses, walking to church like a big boy. Also, I really enjoyed that your longer clip of church. What a wonderful platform to share His word! Yes sometimes I struggle postpartum feeling overwhelmed. But thankfully the feeling comes and goes. Definitely not an easy time, but it passes so quickly!

I love children’s books as well. I have quite a collection. I was a first grade teacher for many years, and reading aloud to my class was one of my favorite things to do.

Yesterday, Monday, I looked for the Sunday outing video. I thought it might be too soon for you, Amber, since you are adjusting to your new schedule. Then, I was so happy to see this video in my feed today. You are looking and doing well. The traditional and non-traditional ice cream flavors sounded delicious. It was fun to see the bookstore. As a retired Children's Librarian, I love the books, too. As always, it was great to see the children share their ice cream with each other for a taste test. There is so much love in your family. Family, cooking, grocery shopping, music, and special times together. The dynamic within your family is just so beautiful to see. Children’s books are dear to my heart as well. I’m actually in the process of writing a children’s book series. I’ve completed three so far and my oldest daughter is illustrating them. We have our first book fully completed and ready to print hopefully in January. I’ll be sure to send you one. 💖

I love those, penguin wanting to drive, books!!!! They are so cute and make me lol!!! I also love the Little Critter books by Mercer Mayer. I love his illustrations and that he still gets kids and how they think, even as an adult!

Moe is my ice cream twin, I love banana ice cream.
This comes from a loving space from a nurse and a mom with a little one that had RSV. He's in his 20s now but had it at 8 months old and is was very scary. Please be cautious taking Netti out in public. RSV is highly contagious in small children and is going around fast. With that said I pray for health and well being. ❤ 🙏

Have the children been caroling for the holidays and are they busking this time of year at all or is it just too cold? We were 19° this morning ❤️❤️
They do some busking still but usually only in the warm subways. Some of the older kids have been doing some gigs. Pearl got to play with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and Josiah got to go to Pennsylvania to play a Handel’s Messiah gig. It’s fun to see the kids grow up and get to go fun places.

No, they just like long hair. Also we still need to find a good family salon here. Marc has been cutting our boys’ hair recently. He’s good at cutting the girls hair too but they want a layered stylish cut and he doesn’t know how to do that.

I also started taking my child to church and outings when she was just a couple of weeks old and she rarely got sick. When she started school, that was a different story!

Exactly how long do YOU think would be an acceptable amount of time to keep her out of the subway? Children build their immunity by being exposed to germs. Netta is being held/buddled the whole time. She has the warmth of her caregiver and is not touching any surfaces. When you have 10 siblings, you are going to be exposed to a lot of germs....subway or no subway. How do you expect them to do their life in NYC? Have you ever been there? Walking and subway are the means of transportation.
They are responsible adults who know how to raise their children. Why be mean about it? Say something nice or keep scrolling.

I would say a month for unnecessary trips, such as this one for ice cream. Doctor appointments or vital trips for several weeks.
