    Hi, so during defrost the indoor coil is cold AND the auxiliary heat is on at the same time? So you have very hot air going across the cold coil? Thanks for your tutorials.

    Most parts I get I am lucky I get any paperwork. Sometime the stat is knocked off and I have no clue where to put it. I have typically seen them on a condenser(evap in heating lol) u bend. Mini splits are taking over and I am trying figure out how to diagnose their defrost. It’s defrost season lol. I had a nightmare with a WIF defrost clock on Friday. Found out I forgot a jumper between 1 and 2. I found indoor/outdoor coil easier to understand. But from a technical standing it is important that people understand that they switch. I actually have to go back to a Lennox fan/defrost issue and their tech support is impossible to reach. Tomorrow I have two HP icing issues lol.

      You always put a jumper from a hot/power wire to the pin for the component you want to force on, in this case bipassing a faulty thermostat.

    What would’ve happened if you hadn’t connect those jumpers for the defrost thermostat? And instead you would’ve DT already on place.

    If overnight the defrost comes on, but continues to blow cold air into house for over an hour, what could ve wrong? In Phoenix there is now aux heat

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There has to be auxiliary heat. Otherwise you will get cold air blowing in the house
      When the system goes into defrost, there should be a wire from the outdoor unit that energizes the indoor units Heaters to prevent cold air

    Can you explain why you changed the defrost board when you determined it to be a bad sensor? I've seen this a lot and I'm not understanding why both are often changed together. I'm trying to learn.

    Hi. I love your videos. I've replaced my run capacitor, and the run stop capacitor. And the outside fan turned on for about 3 seconds and shut back off. Now the outside fan won't come on. It's just that loud hum sound. Is it stuck in defrost or something? Please help. Thanks in advance

    On my heat pump the defrost thermostat is attached to one of the u shaped copper tubes on the ends of the coil,it’s like that factory is that right,the reason I’m asking is I need to replace mine,I’m a sparky not and hvac tech and it’s my unit ,we had a cold snap and my heat pump became an ice block

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's correct it should be there
