  • The July Carry On is an amazing bit of kit. Made by an Australian company based in Melbourne, the Carry On is a hardy, well built suitcase that when combined with it's lifetime warranty, could be the very last suitcase you'd ever need!

    Thanks for the July review. It'll help with my research in moving from soft to hard luggage. I must say, it's a difficult task replacing a Briggs & Riley international 21" inch carry-on. It's such an excellent luggage, but it's getting a bit old. I'm not fully convinced about hard luggage. We'll see. Since you have American subscribers, I'd suggest you also give measurements, & weights in inches, & pounds. Love the accent! Thanks.

    I hope July offers US customers more Dark Mode colors. I've been checking the July website for weeks and the Dark Mode colors (they only listed a Yellow one) are sold out!

    I got the July Light carry on last month but haven't tried it out yet. Seems like it's good quality tho without the features your bag has. But that's what makes it under 5 pounds!

    • @CJYing
      @CJYing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! If you didn’t need the extra features it’ll be a great light weight option

    Nice review and great cinematography thanks. How much did your bag weigh with all your stuff inside?

    • @CJYing
      @CJYing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe with all my stuff inside it was about 7kgs or so

    July checked plus luggage is 12.5 lbs which 2.5lbs more that they advertised. After removing compression and laundry bag checked plus luggage is 11.5 lbs which is 1lb more than advertised. Really disappointed. The only reason I bought because of weight and life time warranty. And now I have to return it.

    • @CJYing
      @CJYing  ปีที่แล้ว

      It definitely does come heavier than expected

    the write up on their website says the batteries are safe to travel on a plane but did u have any issues or have to declare the carry on battery pack ?? do u know what the main difference is between the carry on and the 'carry on trunk' as they are both rated the same 42L volume ?

    • @CJYing
      @CJYing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The batteries are safe to travel on a plane primarily because they are easily removed. I wouldn’t leave it in the suitcase if you are going to check it into the luggage hold.

    Does lifetime warranty cover if airlines break checked in luggage?

    Having a TSA lock on a suitcase with zip closure is a bit pointless. Might be ok for the TSA, but in terms of security, anyone who travels frequently will likely know that any of these zips can be opened by inserting a pen or other sharpish object between the teeth. Just saying...

    Is that weight with or without the battery? Batteries are heavy

    Doesn't anyone find the July handle /grab to be extremely uncomfortable? It comes to a point rather than being rounded around the point. Why would they do that?

    People carry quality fast charging chargers these says so this one is outdated and therefore mostly useless whilst taking up valuable space and weight.

    This luggage is terrible. I’m currently sitting in a hotel locked out of my bags for the SECOND time in two months. the locks on these are terrible quality and jam, BOTH of my locks have broken. DONT BUT THIS

    I purchased both the July Carry on and the carry on Trunk. They are both too heavy especially the trunk is HEAVY. The compression strap is not great, adds weight and YOU CAN'T REMOVE IT! Which is extremely annoying. Lining only comes in black which sucks for visibility of your items. The character is SLOW CHARGING therefore a paperweight
