@itachisasku For the first 20 yrs of my life you couldn’t have a hit song without a guitar solo in it. Guitar was THE instrument. New artists were pushing boundaries all the time, but there was kind of a high water mark where it seemed like everything had been done, you couldn’t wail on a guitar harder than it had already been wailed on. Sure there were still musicians exploring new avenues, but pushed off into niche music, mostly sub genres of metal (which most people couldn’t handle because of the intensity of the other instruments and the screaming). Even then metal guitarists were running out of new things to do, it was feeling tired and played-out, with few exceptions. People mostly imitating what had come before. I swear I haven’t seen someone do something truly new and special with a guitar in many years until I stumbled upon Tim, then Ichika, then Manuel (I’m sure there’s more, but those are the ones I’ve encountered), and I can say that these musicians are truly taking the instrument to new heights. That is what I meant by my comment, but I didn’t think anyone would want me to elaborate on the last 40ish years of guitar music, lol. Dunno why you gotta be all condescending, we’re all fans here bro.

No worries tho, I get more of your vibe from the follow up comment and it’s all good. I also love all kinds of music, looks like I’m in good company. Couldn’t tell you where the other sounds come from tho :) they sound other-worldly tho I love it

The way everything resolves before the last few measures (3:11) is perfection. It's like watching pendulums going into phase or a flock of birds slowly forming a perfect flying v. There's this controlled chaos that comes to rest right at the end.
