"Depart from me. I'm a sinful man." Jesus: "Don't be afraid." We should not hesitate in following Jesus. He will accept us even though we havr sinned against Him. 😫 For nothing can separate us from the love of God.
except sin... as he told both the cripple in John 5 "stop sinning or something worse would happen"... and to the adulterous escaping being stone through the wisdom of Jesus who then warned her "now go and sin no more". And us all "unless you repent, you likewise will perish".

SUPER IMPORTANT WORDS OF JESUS as He gets ready to go to the cross. ↘ John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”↖ 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” ↘ 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and then My Father will love him, and We both will come to him and make Our home with him. ↖ 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
@@jesusstudentbrett jesusstudentbrett We sinned, yet God still willing to forgive and accept us, because He love us. 1 John 1:9 "If we just confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive ALL OUR Sins and cleanse us in all unrighteousness". I agree that sin can separate us from God, because if we continue to live in sin, we'll go to hell, we'll be separated from God. The man said he is sinful. Yet Jesus said "do not be afraid", Jesus even hang out with tax collectors. "He came not for the righteous, but for the sinners". Sin cannot separate us from the love of God. I love Jesus’ warmth and kindness, and even playfulness. He’s so delighted with their joy upon receiving the miracle of the fish. It makes sense to me that He was an upbeat and person. He tells us to “be of good cheer” and He never asks us to do things without doing them first himself. He is a cheerful, kind person and asks us to be the same.
We shouldn’t try to reduce Jesus to one attribute as well though. Jesus could be serious and introspective as well. He could also be fierce and angry when roused such as when He saw what they were making His Father’s house a place of trade or when He was rebuking the Pharisees. Not denying that He could be upbeat but He could also be the opposite depending on the circumstance.
@@YourHeartIsTheKey Yes of course He was serious and stern when He needed to be. He even cried over Lazarus. But I’ve felt like (in my experience) Christ has always been depicted as always solemn and serious about everything. I’ve enjoyed this side of him being charismatic and even funny. Pretty sure if He could raise people from the dead, that He could probably land a joke or two, as well. ;) No, He wasn’t always joking, because salvation is a very serious matter and He’s concerned for all of our souls. (And never would He have ever made jokes at other people’s expense) but I truly believe if He tells us to “be of good cheer”, then I’m pretty sure that he is cheerful and extremely optimistic as well. This was all just my opinion.
He has blessed me so much. I have no reason to doubt him. 2022 my whole family was in debt (including myself) the money I had in my bank account was nowhere near the amount I owed. It was however enough to clear the rest of my family. The Lord told me to break their chains and set them free. And so I did. They all cried but they all knew I was still in the lion’s den. I told them not to worry about me. I told them that God would declare his strength through my weakness. Not long after just before the IRS was about to put me on the street I won the lottery. This reminded me of Isiah 65:24. I cried all day. But more than anything I was glad my family now lives by Faith and not by sight!!!!
I shared this with my gals and their reactions are unanimous - they cried and felt that connection with Jesus like they never had before. I cried too. Beautiful!

Simon/Peter has always been my favorite of the 12 apostles because of just how much I relate to him. He was far from perfect. He wept in his guilt and was afraid of what Jesus would think of him, as I have done many times. And now just seeing this scene visually gives me so much more appreciation for Simon/Peter. The way Jesus looks at him, tells him to not be afraid and to lift up his head, and Simon's reaction of surprise when Jesus tells him to follow Him, make me fall in love with Jesus so much more. Simon didn't understand how someone as perfect and sinless as Jesus could love someone as flawed and sinful as him (and I often wonder the same thing about myself), yet Jesus loved him anyway because that's how compassionate He is. Simon knew he could never do anything on his own and needed Jesus, and that's why he said "I will" to following Jesus. While Simon's personality throughout the rest of the show is still funny, charming, brotherly, and sometimes ill-tempered, you can see how much he's willing to do for Jesus, even go as far as protecting Him (even though He didn't need it), because of what Jesus did for him. Later in the show, James and John say to their father, Zebedee, "You wouldn't recognize Simon now, he's the teacher's pet." At the end of episode 8 when Jesus says they don't have to keep His secret of Him being the Messiah anymore, Simon shouts "YES!!!!!" and runs up to Jesus and gives Him a bro hug, and they both have the biggest smiles on their faces. It's so pure. I know Simon's still gonna mess up, even deny Jesus three times. But still, his enthusiasm for Jesus is so wholesome. Even after Simon/Peter denies Jesus three times and is forgiven for them, Jesus entrusts him to continue leading His church after He ascends into heaven. When you read the beginning of Acts of the Apostles, Peter and the other apostles get ridiculed a lot - people assume they're drunk, and they were also questioned by the religious orders, who told them to stop teaching in Jesus' name. Yet Peter refuses and is not ashamed in the slightest to stand up for Jesus and testify all He's done for him. I will never be perfect like Jesus, but Simon/Peter reminds me that I don't have to be perfect to do great things through Him. Anyways if you made it this far, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk :)
❤ I love what you have shared what a testimony! So powerful! I can relate also to Simon Peter’ reaction when He falls at Jesus’ feet acknowledging who He is and confessing to Jesus his thankfulness how unworthy he feels. I myself can also fully relate to this. Such a beautiful and powerful moment ❤

"Depart from me. I'm a sinful man."
Jesus: "Don't be afraid."
We should not hesitate in following Jesus.
@@jesusstudentbrett amen sir 😇 what I mean is "Nothing in all creation". God didn't create sin.
And I said: Nothing can separate us from the "LOVE OF GOD"
Sin can separate us from God, but not His love. He always loves us. That's why even though we sin. He still have the willingness to accept us. 😊
@@keedi_boo The God of the OT is the Father of Jesus... same God. Let us not confuse MERCY with "great patience" the scriptures tell us, awaiting people to turn from serving the devil and sin being its result, and to turn to Him through following Jesus, having left darkness ☀ and entering the light. ☉
Do we go by our own ideas, or what scripture tells us? Matthew 5 says God rains down on both the wicked and righteous people. God is merciful. God is love... BUT... Acts 10:34-35 says God will accept anyone from any nation AS LONG AS they fear God and work righteousness. Proverbs says the wise fear God and consequently flee evil (resist the devil as James says). Shalom dear Keedi
SUPER IMPORTANT WORDS OF JESUS as He gets ready to go to the cross.
↘
John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”↖
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
↘
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and then My Father will love him, and We both will come to him and make Our home with him. ↖
24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
@@jesusstudentbrett jesusstudentbrett We sinned, yet God still willing to forgive and accept us, because He love us. 1 John 1:9 "If we just confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive ALL OUR Sins and cleanse us in all unrighteousness".
My point sir is even though we are sinful, God loves us. "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" that's how God demonstration His love for us.
Jesus does not condemn, God does not condemn. He just condemn when the time of Judgement comes.
Shalom mister 😇
I love how Mary (Magdalene), Little James, Thaddeus (and Matthew from afar) are watching the whole thing unfold on the shore. Mary's reaction, man! The way she wiped her eyes and smiled is like a little sister who's proud of her big brother. I love it!

Oh, that was her! I couldn't even tell, I didn't see her hair.
@@xxkphxx Exactly! To me seeing his joyful side has made me relate to him more and made me experience the pain that he went through to die for us
❤
And we have the Holy Spirit to do great things through us.
Faith is the most Amazing Beautiful gift that we simply believing is enough God Bless Everyone 🙏❤

This hits even harder after you see the season 3 finale. 😭😭😭 Simon loves his master so much. The way their relationship has evolved in such a short amount of time has me weeping.
The denial would be so hard to watch after all of this.
Yes it will.
This series is the best visual Gospel depiction in History.

One of the best ways to portray Jesus his is laughter and joy watching them struggle to haul in the fish. Jesus truly mourns and sobs with us in our saddest and darkest moments but rejoices with us in our success and happiness.
Can’t describe how much I appreciate this video ❤
How many of us have those “you gotta be kidding? Moments with the Lord?” And yet, He is so faithful!

I love the way Jesus looks at Simon "Peter" When he says "Follow me" it was like he was looking through the beginning and end of his life into eternity. God was with him always and never left him.
The look on the face of Jesus, He was more happy for them than they were happy for themselves. May God have mercy on all of us.
I like the moment when after Peter threw down the net and turned to Jesus with a look of "see I told ya" and Jesus looked him back answering "wait for it" was amazing, a conversation without words just eye contact.. Brilliant Actors..
I love that bit too - the same as after He heals Shula and also then heals Barnaby. Lovely Jesus ❤️
This is one of the most well-made films I ever saw. It’s entertaining yet wholesome. You don’t see films of this caliber that often.
Appreciate that!

I just cant stop watching this....it gave me goosebumps and couldn't stop my tears watching Jesus reaction to the catch. He just looks up to thank His Father. How beautifully shot.
This is an unbelievable scene. I have watched it time after time. How powerful is Jesus.
Shahar’s (Peter) moment at the feet of Jesus is emotional pay dirt. It’s so moving and cathartic.
How wonderful and incredible it will be when we get to Heaven and see our amazing Lord face to face. It will be indescribably amazing.

This is definitely my favorite scene from the Chosen. The music is good too.
This scene one i like the most. I see myself in Simon Peter 100%, the actor is really playing very well as a temperamental Simon. I got so emotional again to remember my first time conversion. And till now i am still up and down.

Can you imagine actually being in the presence of Jesus 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Any time, brother. I enjoyed your Ted talk
Simon/Peter is kind of a dick to his wife in the first 3 seasons. Will be interesting to see him become the most loyal apostle
Amen! I couldn’t agree more. When we get to Heaven and are made perfect I can’t wait to be as good of a friend to Jesus has He has been to me. I pray any lost may come to know Him! what you shared has been a blessing. ❤ Glory to God only!
