The real reason the mobile version is so much weaker graphically is because of the limited file size that apps had to work with at the time due to limited storage space on that generation of smartphones. While the Gamecube version of RE4 was split across two 1.5Gb discs, the mobile version sits at only around 150mb.

this game was pretty good for it's time. there werent a lot of games like this in mobile back then so this was the very best you could get. it didnt age very well though. also, why are all the chapters unlocked in the beginning? when i first bought this game in 2011 you actually had to progress through the game.

But yeah, if only Capcom made an official port of RE4 for phones now. I bet that a trashy phone with 1-2gb ram (or even 500) could run it at like 30fps (not the hd edition) if the port was optimized enough. Kinda sucks that they didn't made one NOW that the phones are much better.
@@nightmode3782 Totally agree with you, but at this moment our best bet is downloading its rom and playing it preferably with a controller. I have an S9+ and RE1 gamecube runs flawlessly, although with some fps drops. My phone has exynos and, for whatever reason, Dolphin doesn't perform up to it's full potential on exynos phones.

But I'm probably gonna get a phone that works fine on dolphin next year as i'm pretty tired of this phone's bullshit. Though, if there was an official optimized port my trashy phone would probably be able to run it. But for now, i'm just gonna play it on my laptop.

There's actually a Full resident evil 4 game including the story and what actually happened in it on mobile but they nerfed it a bit so it will be easier but there's a bug that literally won't let you progress any further. The ashley part on the church it won't let you get into the church door even if it said "tap here to open the door" everytime I do it just puts me back in the same spot not letting me in the Church I tried Restarting my phone but it's still the same letting you not progress within the game
