This channel has had the best coverage of this storm. The other channels are doing their best I am sure. But whoever is running this station has it above all the others. I live on the Savannah Coast. I try and watch everything about this storm. As it has great information so I can be ready when a storm comes our way.

This is devastating. I'm truly humbled by the community and outsiders helping each other. It's how it should be. As the storm arrived to Florida, I dreamt I was in a boat helping people as water was high. I recall seeing many drowned victims in the water as we searched for life. When I watched this video I could not stop crying. My heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by this storm and it devastation. 🙏❤️

I remember during hurricane Harvey my sister having a bunch of MRE's. They're not the greatest, but they are a meal. They should be giving those to the people on the island. It's something better than nothing.

I just pray everyday for everyone involved to have the strength to get through each day for what they need to do whether you're trapped, you're coming back to your home or its gone, volunteering, you are emergency services, everyone who has to live through this nightmare. God Bless the people putting themselves In Harm's Way to help others when they didn't have to.

I saw the destruction of what a Cat 3 storm does. When Hurricane Hugo hit Charleston S.C. It looked like a war zone. Thankfully only 61 people died in that storm. They had no time to evacuate as the storm was suppose to Hit Savannah. But with a days notice everyone on the Islands went to higher grounds.

Incredibly sad…The loss of property, dreams, businesses, and worst of all, lives…I’ve spent a lot of time on the Island & have land there… in the US we have an incredible generous spirit, shown by these great people who are helping, they are life’s true heros!
This hit by hurricane Ian was similar to a tsunami, except with wind & water. Fortunately, people had time to evacuate. In the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia over 225,000 people were killed. They had no notice or forewarning.
Please Donate to the American Red Cross for survivors, if u can afford it.

The people that live in those areas I pray for them and all should pray for them because I've been listening to the insurance companies and they say they're not going to be paying for these places that's all torn down or their cars because you know insurance companies about making money how I don't know if these people believe in global warming which is kind of sad

A hurricane hit of this magnitude is very rare. I’ve been in the area 25 years & have land on the island. My family has been in The Tampa Bay Area much longer & they’ve never had a significant hit. The last hit for fort Myers, (Sandy?) had little effect on the barrier islands. Some trees were blown down, some roofs were damaged, that’s all I saw. Except, mobile homes off the island had more serious damage. They shouldn’t be allowed to put more in after a hit, in my opinion. Way too dangerous. The top of the panhandle is at a much higher risk for hits, and the Miami area, which was demonstrated with Andrew, that wiped homestead off the map.
