So emotional listening to this lady.
Just because you're in a mobile home, does not mean you're not AS important as anyone else. You ARE!! That broke my heart.

They are very nice there. Their community trailers for the retired people to live there. They aren't like the ones that look awful. They have alot of them down south Florida.

To the many who do not get it. These people were told by the news and weather forecasters that the hurracaine was going to go quite far North of them. The storm wobbled bobbled and took that sharp right. These folks do not deserve this hell.

Same thing happened in Hurricane Charley 18 years ago, the people here knew this could happen yet they still stayed. Bottomline it that it is your responsiblity, you are the one near the hurricane. It doesn't matter what the forecasters are saying. You are the one that has to make the decision to leave. Hurricane Charley was also forecast to go into Tampa but it made the same right turn this one did.

She was lucky not to be washed away by the storm. The question I have to ask is WHY, why do so many people think it's okay to ride out a hurricane. Haven't we seen enough death and destruction over our history to know better. The main thing I can think of is that people are afraid that the government won't let them back in after the storm is over, and that is a problem that needs to be fixed, so maybe next time everyone will evacuate to someplace safe. I don't live in hurricane alley but tornado alley, and one problem here is you can't bring your pets to the government tornado shelter, I hope they aren't doing the same in a hurricane. If they are not allowing pets, then the government is responsible for most of the deaths.
