Wow, this transports me back to 1994 where my brother and I would listen the Green Day Dookie album and Nirvana Nevermind album during our long car rides but this video made me feel like I’m in an alternate reality where the two albums blended into one.
I picked: - Longview: drums/bass + song structure - Holiday: drums and bass really remind me of the outro (the "heys" and the "woooo" also are very American Idiot era) - Hitchin' a Ride: syncopated palm-muted guitar + drums and bass also remind me of the chorus
I thought this was going to be various artists covering American Idiot but I love the 90s Green Day vibe since the bass being reminiscent of Longview and the guitar with Hitchin' A Ride, awesome as always brother and I just pre-saved it
After seeing a flood of terrible "if this band wrote this song" videos lately, all created using A.I. (and failing horribly), I gotta say... you pretty much nailed it. This is the first time I have seen any of your videos, but I will definitely check out some more of your stuff. Nice work!
Absolutely amazing cover, I loved how many sounds from different Green Day songs made it into this one arrangement, Longview and Holiday were definitely the most notable ones but I kept noticing moments that felt distinctly like points from all over their discography. Satisfyingly full guitar sound, impressively accurate vocals, great reconstruction of Green Day's sound while still staying true to the melody and chords of the original.

This one is particularly good because it needs subtlety....the original is already a pop / punk fusion to start with. Lots of nice little touches .. the bass line, harmony vocals, and the changes in rhythm. Kudos. 👍
Green Day is my favorite band, I've seen them live twice. This guy's Billie Joe Armstrong impression is a 10/10. I gotta see Steve do 'If American Idiot was written by 13 different bands' video
I remember when I heard this on your other video if 12 band covered Nirvana's Nevermind album. This is spot on with sounding like Green day and Your voice impersonation of Dave Mustain was also spot on too. I look forward to hearing the full versions of all the songs you covered on your other video
It’s 3:25am, and my dog’s watching me bop around to this like WTF are you doing? 😂 Loved it! Man, you’ve got Billie Joe’s voice down flat. And that bass line, instantly recognizable as Green Day. You can always tell when a song is excellent, you can change genres, pacing etc and it’s still flipping awesome. Lithium has always been my favorite Nirvana track. I miss the 90’s so much. 🖤
What I love most about these is that your portrayal is even better than if the band had done a cover, because they wouldn't throw their whole classic stylistic epitomes into the cover, so we just get better versions than they could actually do

could you do a Nirvana song in the style of Beatles? You're the only one I trust with such a hard challenge! About a girl is perfect for that but IMO it already sounds like a Beatles tune. It'd be great if you'd try something like Drain you :)
Great job! You nailed it. And just goes to show the mark of a well -written song ( like most Beatles songs, for example) is that it will still sound great in any style you play it.
Like the rendition but for the snare sound and nothing lends itself better to the overall feeling of the song than that sweet spot of a snare sound texture
