My best friend who introduced me to Green Day back in 1998 when I was only 14. Sadly, I recently found out that he drowned in the ocean a few years ago, leaving being a little daughter. He was a genuine wonderful person who, inspired by Green Day, dreamed of starting a Punk Rock band as a kid. We are all anonymous statistics who pass through this world on our journey to self realization, I want to leave his name here for posterity in honor of our friendship.

Good lord! How many times I watched this as a teen! And boy did I wear out my Kerplunk and Dookie tapes/ CD’s! Ah the 90’s. Good times to be a teen, musically speaking ! We had loud “obnoxious” stuff like this to be loud and obnoxious to, but we still had all the greats on regular rotation (hard rock, classic rock, punk, new wave etc.) from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s to give us context.

I worked at Agnews Developmental Center in Santa Clara where this music video was filmed by Green Day. I was there in 1994, but I don't recall hearing about Green Day filming there. They must have filmed it secretly on a weekend. My office was literally a stone's throw away from the building where this music video was filmed. Other films were made there as well. Those were the days!

I've listened to Green Day as a kid and then for years I haven't really heard any of their songs cause I kinda forgot about the band.
Then randomally today I hate this song stuck in my head and I tried and tried finding it.
