Like dude, if you were really part of the group, and not simply an ARG then PLEASE check whether or not the guy you contacted is a YTer specifically interested in showcasing these activities. One random person who just suddenly felt like an intensive playthrough of a game which two years earlier he had tried and immediatley abandoned? And that was when it was new and people were buzzing about it so much. Then, he only gave it five minutes and followed that by two years of complete disinterest. Literally every individual piece of the anon's narrative strains credulity somehow. All the pieces together bring it to the level of outright absurdity. It would have been much more impressive and interesting if the project's creator had used multiple identities across multiple discussion platforms to make it appear as if each detail was either discovered independently or worked out collaboratively, all drip fed to us over an extended period of time. That would have kept the mystery alive for longer. But he was impatient and sloppy, we can see the man behind the curtain. Now we know the great and powerful Wizard isn't real.

Said book was thousands of pages long; I mean it was literally the size of a phonebook if not larger. It was about Ascenionism. It's hard to tell if Kanye Quest is actually a recruitment tool for a cult or a failed ARG, especially since Ascensionism is a relatively obscure cult, to the point where it doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. Compare that to Scientology, a far more well-known cult, which has used popular media as a recruitment tool for it's cult for decades, though it's kind of lost power in more recent years, and most people only know it for Xenu and friends, no thanks to South Park. As for Nick Lyons, I have reason to believe that PHENIX is his user handle on certain sites, or a pseudonym to hide his cult more easily. Idk why so many people liked this comment. I guess i see the humor in it. But one of the most intriguing and engaging aspects of this ARG was the fact that someone had to randomly stumble upon it.. See, if it were me, i would do it the same way, and if no one ever found it, i'd make another with the same difficulty and link it to the first, and so on and so forth until someone DID find one. And then the treasure trove and immensity of what someone has found would be absolutely thrilling. It would feel as though someone has stumbled upon something great, and very purposefully hidden... just feels better to me.

It's hard to tell if Kanye Quest is actually a recruitment tool for a cult or a failed ARG, especially since Ascensionism is a relatively obscure cult, to the point where it doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. Compare that to Scientology, a far more well-known cult, which has used popular media as a recruitment tool for it's cult for decades, though it's kind of lost power in more recent years, and most people only know it for Xenu and friends, no thanks to South Park. Interestingly, Scientology ALSO has a record label if I remember right.
As for Nick Lyons, I have reason to believe that PHENIX is his user handle on certain sites, or a pseudonym to hide his cult more easily. Hard to say if Nick is leader of the Ascencionist cult and serves as it's equivalent to L. Ron Hubbard or not.
