oof i am still obsessed with these two, excited for what s4 will bring. I've been sitting on this project forever, it just kept getting longer, and yet I still didn't have the time to include everything. Very much wanted to explore their FASCINATING dynamic, looking at Guillermo embracing his birthright and Nandor's struggle with his place in the world. It ended up being v Nandor-centric, but I think his feelings towards Guillermo are endlessly fascinating. We can see how Guillermo feels, but honestly, Nandor's attempts to keep Guillermo with him, to befriend him, to protect him, it's all so interesting and speaks to a much deeper attachment on Nandor's part. I love love love them. Also had a hell of a lot of fun using the lighting/candles as a means of transitioning between elements as they both exit and embrace the shadows at different times. I'm obsessed with how beautiful this show is.
(while editing this video, it became increasingly apparent that "Guillermo" is very much Nandor's favourite word to say)

I remember that scene when Guillermo did not show up for Nandor to go on the trip and I felt so sad too. It's like I really felt that void. It was so sad to see Nandor hurt like that. I knew there was going to more to the story. That was a good scene. Very moving.
