A seal video would be great because there isn’t a single one out that makes it simple and easy or give step by step instructions in how to take out the differential or anything.
Thank you for the Video, My axle won't turned after I put that back in and you didn't show if yours does so doesn't supposed to turned freely or not? what could be the issue if its locked? thanks for your help
Replaced both front hub barring on my 97 dodge ram 4x4 because the passenger side was gone. Got both from you guys. Easy job. I noticed that before I changed them out the truck was acting like there was a knot in the front tire. Put brand new tires all around, changed hub barrings and it still doing it. Took it in the back field an locked it in and as I turn to the right it makes a soft grinding sound. Whats your analysis axel? Axel barring?
Thanks so much for the videos guys. I'm going to be replacing the whole front suspension on the 1997 ram I just got. Have everything saved on your website for when I have extra money for them.
Thank you for the video. I have the same year and model. My passenger side axel outer seal needs to be replaced. Do you sell the axel seal driver kit? I need a special tool to ensure the seal is seated properly. It’s currently leaking oil.
When I was 18 I did my first beating job on my own car. I tightened too tight it seized up on my and the wheel practically came off my Volkswagen. Ever since I’ve been scared of doing these types of jobs but this makes it much easier. Of course I was learning and didn’t use a torque wrench
Good video however l believe most of these how-to videos are filmed in low rust areas of the country. Also those bolts in my area (NY) are "dealer only" items meaning NOT cheap.
Still in very good shape. Especially compared to mine. Lol There's no bearing or anything on the outside end of the axle tube? Shaft just spins freely through there?
Good video, thanks. This will make the job easier. Since I will have the hubs off anyway is there anything besides obvious looseness to look for, or should I just replace them regardless?
You guys probably have the highest quality videos on youtube. you put copper anti-seize wouldn't that be an issue overtime with it being put on steel as the 2 metals don't go together well overtime. I'm an electrician by trade (so I know little about what I'm asking here) but jw on my end. I love your videos. and why don't you always put new bolts in when you have the opportunity or soak them in wd-40 for longer life and keep rust (main enemy) out of truck.
I just got my Dodge 1500 ram 2000 diagnosed with totally destroyed front differential and got quoted 1250$ but when I look up the part on your website there's no such thing as a front axle assembly nor is there anything referred to as a differential on your website why is that and what am I doing wrong to try and research this part is mechanic shop calling it the wrong part or does your company not sell front axle assemblies, on my truck apparently it's all one part from tire to tire and it is the front not the back four-wheel drive and my steering box is destroyed I don't understand how to buy these parts from your company
It has two separate axels on the front that meet at the differential. I would assume the differential is what is destroyed. You may want to search for a loaded carrier and maybe the ring and pinion gears. Depending how bad everything is, you may need the two from axles. I had to replace the rear carrier on my dodge. I actually ended up getting all the parts from summit racing.

Note on older vehicles theres a good chance the old axle tube seal will leak after shaft reinstall best to also replace it when its apart
so you took the bearing bolts out then put them right back in to get the bearing out?
You're hilarious and really know your stuff. I'm doing both axles tomorrow. Wish me luck!

when i go to 1a auto to look for the air chisel I can not find the one your using, and I would like to buy that one with the adaptor
You could not explain things any better, thanks a lot

Video how to replace axle seal 1996 Dodge 2500 left side (drivers side)? Does your website have links to videos?? Thanks!
I’m looking for the 4 wd differential removal to replace the axel seals.
Still in very good shape.
Especially compared to mine. Lol
There's no bearing or anything on the outside end of the axle tube? Shaft just spins freely through there?
Is this the same as a 97 dodge 2500? For getting the axle out?
Good video, thanks. This will make the job easier. Since I will have the hubs off anyway is there anything besides obvious looseness to look for, or should I just replace them regardless?
The seal video might get a million views.
Should the hub spin freely once the axle nut is tightened to 175lbs?

nice, I was just wondering what actually held the axle in so I could figure out how many safety stands I needed for doing this on my lift
Is the 2wheel drive the same
Why not just take the knuckle off instead of taking the hub off?
A + Tutorial, Great job

How do you know if this need replacing?
Love my ram,1998 still on road!
Can I take it out and b able to drive until I can get it by fixe
Get it fixed
+Jodie Foster No, you cannot drive your vehicle without the axle.
Are you crazy?
1-11/16 is the correct size for the axle shaft nut.
Y’all only sell axles with the abs gear can you pop the abs gear off if you don’t have abs
Anyone know the bolt pattern for the 4 bolts that go to the transfer case
I have bent my inner c knuckle on a 1998 dodge ram 4x4 it's the upper on right side
Good video. Cheers.

I notice that front end is virtually identical to a Jeep XJ. I really don't need to stress myself trying to figure it out now.

+B E Thanks for checking us out! The bearing will not need to be greased. Please let us know if you have any further questions, thank you!

If I didn't have an impact I would break the axle nut loose before i took the brakes off.
