my absolute favorite memory is when I met Sidney at a mErch stand and we were the only ones in the room and I just stood there panicking silently for a solid 5 minutes before actually speaking. it was horrendous but SO WORTH IT
this song keeps coming back to me, in particular the whole personality part with bill woodruff. i turned 18 last year and there's so much going on with my life right now while also feeling like nothing is happening due to the whole covid situation... did you ever feel alone? out of place? when you wanted very much to be a part of the group and be what you want to be? ...what do you do? i hope i find out in time.
this is 3 years late but i understand this so much. i’ve been listening to sidney gish since i was 14 and i’m 19 now and her lyrics just get more and more relatable the older i get. it really is something
Just saw you play this at the Beths concert the other night, and I loved it so much. There's such a layered energy behind the "pretending to be so nervous but that's actually a cover for me being actually kinda nervous" shtick and I'm absolutely here for it.
this is rad as f***! i totally see your artistry unfolding more and more as you combine your songs with film, you truly have a unique vibe/image coming along with your music and it’s so inspiring to watch you keep on growin’. rock on sista 🤘🏻
nothing i could do in my life could amount to half of the power of this song, and yet few even recognize it, it changed nothing, and even if something twelve times more powerful existed, it was played either alone or in a small group, and is unreproduceable. lone reader, i love you. this next part is fucked up you gotta see it

The sin triangle is the id the ego and the super ego/ father, son, and holy ghost. This bittersweet indy treasure reads to me about the human condition (kinda obvious) being the self is pulled apart by allure of the id's power and the super ego's wisdom, and how it's like a sickness upon our soul and source of constant suffering as it makes us lost on our path to knowing, and being known by others. Sidney Gish is actually really consistent in their themes and hooks, channeling ephemeral youth, death, society, and profound self awareness.
Holy shit, I just found your music on Spotify and it is so so good. It’s getting me through a pretty rough time right now. Thank you so so much for being so awesome. ✨
I have no idea how this got into my google play that's mostly screaming hardcore, angsty industrial or just quiet ambient, but it's stuck in my skull in such a way that i appreciate it.
A friend excitedly recommended me your music some time ago, been listening to your songs and albums on loop for like 3 months and still going and feeling them like the first time, i'm not joking. I've made a lot of important memories with your music playing, and I'm really thankful for that also. When the time comes for you to get an influx of listeners, I'll be there to buy a physical album online, and when the time comes for you to get popular, I'll be there to buy a ticket for an important show, or at least I'll try idk i'm broke, heh. But seriously please keep going! You can't imagine how important your music has been for me, and probably for other lives, and that may sound like an exaggeration, but i'm dead serious djsjjjdkdjsljfkdbfmcujejfkfjksfjkd Thanks! ReALLY! and bests of luck from Chile!
Oh man I love this so much.
Tessa Violet omg hey! Great taste in music, I can’t wait for your album to drop!! ❤️

omg im glad someone answered my reddit question i have been looking for this song for a while!!
Got to work on my brain then,
Crawling back to my grave and,
I'm certain that I'm gonna die this time
No doubt is left inside my mind tonight
so im just gonna wait for nausea to set in,
I’m peacing out at eleven,
The friendly girls are trying to comfort me
As if I’m a depressed chick at a frat party
Two faced bitches never lie
and therefore I never lie
Diagram this sin triangle for me tonight
because I don't know what to say
A sickness by another name
Wouldn't be sweet either but
With luck, it would at least look much more tame
I’ve got to work on my face now,
I’m wearing shades when it's dark out
but don’t you worry I'm just being cool,
Like everybody else around this school,
And maybe I wanna see him,
but then again I'm an isolationist
And on an accident, I'm like Japan
Before they went and traded stuff to other lands
Two faced bitches never lie
Therefore I never lie
Diagram this sin triangle:
but the biblical kind and not sine,
I don't know what to say
A sickness by another name
Wouldn't be sweet either but
With luck, it would at least, like, not suck
with luck it would at like not suck
some bitches never lie
therefore i never lie
Diagram this sin triangle:
but the biblical kind and not sine,
I don't know what to say
A sickness by another name
Wouldn't be sweet either but
With luck, it would at least look much more tame
wouldn’t be sweet either but with luck it would at least look much more tame
