This was the first video I ever saw on youtube. It was the greatest one to start on.
Mine was white n nerdy by weird al, in 5th grade.
+Nooby Nanners that was mine too! Along with early Fred videos and this
I agree
Doubleocheeze i saw like 4 years ago
this is the LAST video i want to be watching but its school. i am in 5th grade
Oh the nostalgia, it's killing me
ikr
Raise your hand up if you saw *Grocery Store Wars* at Science World! XD
@@kieranstark7213 omg yes
I remember as a kid thinking this was the most hilarious thing in the world. And it's still fucking hilarious, but I never realized how bad the voice acting was and how it was a campaign to get people to eat organic foods.
Same
high five
The voice acting is purposefully cheesy.
Same
Hey frick you man the voice acting is golden! So much better than the other voice acting nowadays...At least compared to the stuff I've seen like Simp
Wars, Simp Trek, Simpbob Simppants, The Call of the Simp, Secrets Life of Simps 1 & 2, Simpable Me, The Little Simpmaid, and same.
Wow, 14 years ago! I remember watching this as a kid and thinking it was hilarious. I'm 25 now and still love it, even if just for nostalgia. What an elite era of TH-cam before it was full of influencers. Grocery store wars, the gummy bear song, ouch Charlie bit my finger, the duck song. What a time to be alive.
Im 29 xD and still the same
The greatest cinematic masterpiece of our time...
I absolutely love the moment when 'Chewbroccoli' is introduced!
Only part that makes me laugh very hard
Bwbwbwbwbwbbwbwbwbwbww
Still just as good as I remember. Had to show it to my wife who didn't understand my quotes.
Thats no moon, thats a melon . . . THE DEATH MELON!!!!
When I was 11 that killed me 8 years ago really was the golden age of TH-cam
"That giant fruit threatens us all."
I saw this back then and that line still kills me.
And then I come back eight years later
same. I watched this 6 years ago. first TH-cam video I ever saw, and I watched it only cause I thought it was funny. I didn't even realize it had a larger message. I just thought it was a joke
+TheWishPretzel same it's been about 5 years for me
I'm i
Yeah I used to watch this almost everyday when I was little on the original website back in 2005
10 or 11 now
After watching this for the first time in more than 10 years, I realized it's a commercial. Pretty genius move
*14 years ago*
Jesus christ
Is this what getting old feels like
Yup
Yeep
15
Not really. What's you expect to be 14 forever?
@@AmazingStoryDewd of course not. He's just reflecting on how much time has passed.
I haven't seen this in 9 years damn.
lacoot Same here.
10 years for me
lol
I haven’t seen it in a decade!
Damn, it's been 14 years for me
remember watching this on the school computers
rippin fat bongs in the outback yes
Puppetsrulebruh Gaming and more me too

+hobbies spiele best part XD
It was more like brrrrrrrrrrrrrb
more like brghghghhghgh
I remember being 6 and watching this on the school computers... now I’m 21 and work at an organic produce store, and it’s somehow even more hilarious now 😂
I don't think I've watched this in 13 or 14 years. I used to watch it with my mom and it sent me into giggle fits! One of the few good memories I have with my mom. Never realized that it was an ad, but honestly, who cares. This hits right in the childhood nostalgia spot
I saw this at some place I can't remember while on vacation years ago. Somehow, the whole thing about how organic foods are better went right over my head and I was just laughing at the funny names of the characters and such.
Lando Calzonian (Calzone)
Glazed Windu (Glazed Donut)
Qui Gon Gin (Bottle Of Gin)

@@jonathanmendoza2319 Monterey (Monterey Jack Cheese) and Vinn (Bottle of Vinegar) vs Clucko Hen (Breaded Chicken Drumstick) and the Nuggets of Hen (Chicken Nuggets)
After all these years: It's still a masterpiece and perfectly describes our situation at supermarkets.
I remember watching this back in 2007. Holy shit man, time flies!
2:12 "why don't you come back to my place and we'll make some beet and potato soup" I laughed so hard ha ha
*Leek and potato soup
Every now and then I return to this video just because of the sudden "Oh yeah, this exists."
This has forever ruined A New Hope for me. XDD
The first time I saw A New Hope, I was too young to remember it. I saw this later, a while before rewatching ANH. So every time I find the "That's no moon" quote, my mind always thinks "The Death Melon!"
Came back for the same "Oh yeah, this exists."
Saw this video once before when I was 7. Now it's good to see it again.
This is one of the earliest memories I have of watching a youtube videos, I actually watched this before or around the time I first watched the original trilogy, this is almost just as nostalgic for me
Still one of my favorite indie videos on the site. Way before it was a followed by a small cult, my dad and I watched it over and over. Today as an aspiring filmmaker, I now admire it even more with its technique and message. I applaud Free Range.
I screen this in all my film classes! We compare/contrast it to Star Wars and discuss if why and how it's effective in its message! Timeless!
It's sad that this is how I learned of the plot of star wars
I say otherwise
This is the best way to be introduced to Star Wars.
Yeah but I was like 6 so I didn't understand anything and it confused the hell out of me @@bigborse
YES!!!!! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!!!!! MY DAD SHOWED ME THIS VIDEO WHEN I WAS A LITTLE KID, AND I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!!!!
In year 2020. This video came through my mind again. This is one of the videos that got me into TH-cam (Broadcast Yourself). Where the golden age of TH-cam has gone. The more I rewatch these old vids from 2006-2008. I see how cheezy these vids are. Good to see this once again.
'Search your peelings'
BEST. LINE. EVER.
2019 had to come back and give this a watch
2021 is a better year. watching it already
Doctor Jawline I’m here during quarantine. It’s wierd to think that this was right after Revenge of the Sith.

Here it is ladies and gentlemen. One of the original memes on the platform. And what a good one it is. I like to come back every once in a while and rewatch it just for old times sake.
Now mind you, I was 5 years old when this video hit TH-cam. Goodness how time flies. I’m 23 now!
absolutly amazing. the effort that went in to this is crazy, kudos to you! chewbroccoli was probably the best.
I was 6 when I saw this for the first time, now I'm 13, still gets me😂
bro I'm seventeen and this still gets me
I was 6 when i first saw this now i am 20
now, you’re 19!
Literally has to be the first video I ever saw on the internet in my life. Still just as good almost 15 years later.
Over the years I keep on watching and sharing this
This has both an eerie and peaceful feeling
I think you mean 'peeling'
3:02 _"...that's no moon --- that's a melon! The _*_DEATH-MELON !!!_*_ Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhh!"_
"That giant fruit threatens us all."
I can't believe this uploaded in 2006.. Why haven't I seen this before?? Brilliantly done, inventive characters and soo funny! Great story line.. we must support our farmers and stop buying inferior product from overseas!
R2D2 and Chewbrocoli fav characters.. Best part, Cuc is wearing the egg shell as a uniform to save Princess Lettuce. LOL
They call me Tata, Darth Tata
May the Farm be with you.. always!
Soon 14 years old... I loved this when I was younger
This video brings back good memories 😀
"This giant fruit threatens us all."
I lost it at Chewbroccoli XD
Still watching this 16 years later
“Stretch out with your peelings” 😂😂😂
I love the thought that went into this. It must of been a lot of fun to make. My kid loves it and it really helps explain why I don't let him eat just anything.
i bet youre boosted though lol
Who's Watching this masterpiece in 2019?
Coming back in 2024 to watch this since the first time I saw it in Jr high. It's been like 15 years. Still holds up
I remember watching this video all the time on my father's laptop (He believes he still has the video somewhere). Good times.
I didn't think this would age as well as it did. Still great to this day!
Kylo Ramen

This video makes me smile as it deals with the struggle to eat good fresh organic foods with a sense of humor and by using an imaginative spoof of Star Wars. The force be with you all.
this was the first youtube video I ever watched
lol i saw this when i was 13....now it's been 10 years and i still remember this.
Le Chuga I saw it when I was 5
If you’re old enough to remember this, you deserve a veteran discount.

And still a load of crap. :-)
David Loewen fuck off
“That’s no moon that’s a melon” cracked me up 8 years ago. Cracks me up now
I remember my parents showing this to me as a little kid. Here I am over ten years later.
I remember I found this right after it came out and showed all the kids in my second grade class I was so popular for like a month... I was 6 i’m 19 now
This was awesome when I was a kid
as a person in 2020 returning to this video i miss the better times
its 2020 and this is still the best star wars of all time, i love rewatching it with my siblings from time to time
14 years later and it is still funny

"That's...*really* impossible!"
I remember seeing this years and years a go. I wanted to revisit and it's better than I remember, oddly enough. it's beautiful
3:07 my fav moment XD
lol
I was around 8 when I saw this years ago, and now that I watch it as an adult, it takes me back, and it especially makes me realize the deeper meaning behind it XD
There's only a handful of GM crops. Organics also use pesticides (and more of them).
A Science Enthusiast True organic doesn't use any chemicals. I grow many of my own fruits, vegetables, and i use not one singular chemical. My compost pile is sourced from all wild food in the woods, leaves, grass, and hay. I use this to fertilize my garden food. I don't even use chlorinated city water. I save my own heirloom seeds over, and over again. I am a self-sufficient gardener. When man got greedy, and lazy after the world wars, we used chemical fertilizers, and now we can't get enough of them as we have trapped ourselves in a corner on a large scale.
***** Thanks for your commentary. I also harvest wild food of different types! Provided you harvest them near undisturbed or unpolluted areas, you reap much more nutrients from them....
I suppose the dark side has been defeated.
You don't use ANY chemicals? Not even dihydrogen monoxide?
That is false.
This is so nostalgic. This parody was legendary; it was absolutely genius.
Good times
4:12 Only true ogs remember that was the thumbnail
I’m pretty sure this was the first video I ever watched on the internet...
Storedtrooper or stormcoopers?
707 Chemical Company turned Seed Company Employees were here so far. ;)

A green yoghurt tells us about organic products
As stupid as this is, I have to admit it's still very funny and amusing. XD
This was my first TH-cam video
Watching this as a 3 year old every month is probably the reason I shop organic every time now 17 years later

This was one of the first films my kids and I saw about GMOs. They still love to watch it and now they just want to avoid all the Halloween stuff. We do Theo's chocolate instead. Nature's path has some great candy bars too.
GMOs aren't bad for you.
Apparently you haven't done much digging. If you are eating GMOs, I suggest you go off them for a couple of weeks and then let me know how you feel. I felt a huge difference in the first few weeks.
Laurie Olson It's the placebo effect.
www.webmd.com/food-recipes/truth-about-gmos?page=1
geneticliteracyproject.org/2015/01/26/10-studies-proving-gmos-are-harmful-not-if-science-matters/
Those are just from googling "are GMOs bad?" and there's many more. Most if not all studies about GMOs have studies saying the exact opposite.
Do some research. I've had 5 years of living it. I can tell when I'm poisoned. Glyphosate is poison and the EPA needs to recall it.
Laurie Olson Glyphosate is weed killer. That doesn't mean GMOs are treated with glyphosate, it means you should rinse produce before you prepare it.
Man I miss this era of the internet. The true wild west, and legendary for it.
Started 2020 by watching this

And they also take on Jabba the Pumpkin and Emperor Pastastine.

“Search your peelings, Cuke!” lol! 😂
