Just finished the whole Sword Art Online series and I have to admit, this is the best and most emotional ending theme of them all. This will certainly have a place in my heart.

The alicization is kinda sad for me considering the fact that eugeo is dead. Eugeo is one of few characters that i really personally like since he has such a good character development from being a coward and unable to do anything to becoming more human that can fight the taboo index itself and are capable of destroying the seal of the right eye (literally the first person able to do that thing the underworld) with his strong will, becoming a hero that saved the human empire, and saved kirito in the alicization lasting. The alicization lasting itself is kinda left with cliffhanger and it is kinda sad for me too since integrity knight alice will no longer meet her friends, companion, and even her families anymore (except selka) since 200 years have past. There is no one that she knows again in the underworld since most of them already died from old age and she now try hard in giving people good perspective in order to save the underworld from getting reset and enduring loneliness in the needless banquets that knows no bound.
@@kurono1822 No kidding, I disliked the previous arcs and felt Alicization was such a huge improvement. The first half of War of the Underworld was also good, but then it really drops in quality in the 2nd half of WoTU, mainly because of the previous characters returning and it going full cheese again. Part of me was really hoping Eugeo and maybe child Alice could have been restored in some way, but I guess they'll just live on in Kirito's memories instead.

I’ve never watched SAO but once I heard this ending on toonami. It gave me nostalgic vibes as when I used to hear the intros/endings of inyuasha, ghost in the shell and full metal alchemist. Being in my early teens back then and now in my twenties. Having that same feeling from this song. Truly makes me happy. I hope if other kids and teens feel the same way I did with this song. Maybe later on in life ,when they’re older, they will come back to this song. Just for that nostalgic peace feeling.

tbh the song is basically about how much Alice misses Kirito and how she wants to see him again, whoever made the Intro animation did a pretty good job of portreying the meaning of the song, which makes a change since most other studios just fill their intros with Spoilers and action.
This ED sorta confirms she had legit romantic feelings for him, doesn’t it? I think it’s kind of depressing knowing he won’t end up with her or be able to make her happy. She’s one of the deepest characters in the series so the fact her ending won’t be happy accompanied by this ED is depressing. 😦

This song implies to alice and kirito, that sometimes you fall in love with the wrong person at the wrong time and that's actually so tragic. What hurts the most is when they tell you "if only we met first in a different universe" even tho this "other world" isn't it either... This made me cry. Dear God please give happiness to Alice!
In the end all those she had wanted to share companionship with will eventually fade away like leaves in the dirt or water on land. While she will forever be intombed in a robotic body with a future without depth. Unable to have regular human experiences like in Underworld. She will see this as the decades past and all those moments will be lost in time. Like tears in the rain. A true tragedy. Had circumstances of her existence been different it may have been better.

I haven't watched this SAO series, TH-cam gave me the recommendation, I listened to it, at first it felt like something that I'd expect from usual Japanese pop song, but 1:04 really hit me and then 2:59, and 4:08 until the end, it's like chinese instrumental, I really like that touch in this song. I like the video too, a girl in the digital forest with that purple digital thingy, the matrix style, and that purple portal. I think I should follow SAO again, I only watched the first and second SAO (Kirito with pointy ears to save Asuna in a cage).

Never thought I would be the one who's very addicted to this song now. I just heard this from my brother last year since he's fond of watching Anime. I always listen to this song although I haven't watched SAO. Last last week I started continuing SAO in just one or two days. I also am upset that Asuna was one of the best players and incredibly strong and then turned into garbage.

not to be an arse, but I think when Eugeo died, it was insinuated that his fluctlight was deleted. This is why you see the people who die evaporate into data. I think it's pretty likely that Eugeo is dead forever. Now, I could be wrong, but when Eugeo died I don't know if I remember him disappearing like that - as he took shape as a sword which broke - meaning much like Yui, that was saved in a 'physical virtual' object, Eugeo Might be recoverable. But I doubt that they'd do that, for the sake of plot. Personally, I agree with that decision - when Yui came back to life, it sorta removed any feeling of worry from the anime - sometimes it's better to leave things done.
i remember when i first heard this ending. coming home from school very late, exhausted, sleep-deprived, stressed and feeling empty inside. i switch on my laptop, lie in bed and watch the latest episode of SAO as it releases. strangely enough, i always felt some type of comfort after hearing this ending. the melody feels sad, but somehow it manages to put my heart and mind at ease and make me forget about everything else. Since then, i always play this song everytime i had trouble sleeping or felt stressed. this song will always have a special place in my heart.
The visuals from this song were very trendy, just like the SAO project, which overhauls around stuff that is yet to come! ADAMAS from LiSA could become the best Op song of the year, there's much chance. But hands down, This is the Best Ending song of the year, guarnteed!
This ED evokes a sense of sadness. It may tell a story about a girl who is an AI. And she has an unrequited love with a boy who is human. In the end, this love is not reciprocated but the girl still wishes that the boy will be happy. If we think by this side, it will fit with the relationship between Alice and Kirito.
People don't understand that this isn't about Alice ending up with Kirito. The whole point is that Alice's feelings aren't coded and programmed. Just like Asuna, she loves Kirito as much as she loves her home, sister and Underworld in general. Kirito also loves Alice and he said himself that she is his hope, but not in romantic way. Thus Alice and Asuna never were actually rivals.
If anyone says that loving Alice and her whole ark is basically simping and betraying Asuna, nah fam... Watch this video again and again and you'll maybe understand. God, I wish there could be a better song next season but chances are there never will be one.

The alicization is kinda sad for me considering the fact that eugeo is dead. Eugeo is one of few characters that i really personally like since he has such a good character development from being a coward and unable to do anything to becoming more human that can fight the taboo index itself and are capable of destroying the seal of the right eye (literally the first person able to do that thing the underworld) with his strong will, becoming a hero that saved the human empire, and saved kirito in the alicization lasting. The alicization lasting itself is kinda left with cliffhanger and it is kinda sad for me too since integrity knight alice will no longer meet her friends, companion, and even her families anymore (except selka) since 200 years have past. There is no one that she knows again in the underworld since most of them already died from old age and she now try hard in giving people good perspective in order to save the underworld from getting reset and enduring loneliness in the needless banquets that knows no bound.

@@kurono1822 No kidding, I disliked the previous arcs and felt Alicization was such a huge improvement. The first half of War of the Underworld was also good, but then it really drops in quality in the 2nd half of WoTU, mainly because of the previous characters returning and it going full cheese again. Part of me was really hoping Eugeo and maybe child Alice could have been restored in some way, but I guess they'll just live on in Kirito's memories instead.

I’ve never watched SAO but once I heard this ending on toonami. It gave me nostalgic vibes as when I used to hear the intros/endings of inyuasha, ghost in the shell and full metal alchemist. Being in my early teens back then and now in my twenties. Having that same feeling from this song. Truly makes me happy. I hope if other kids and teens feel the same way I did with this song. Maybe later on in life ,when they’re older, they will come back to this song. Just for that nostalgic peace feeling.

tbh the song is basically about how much Alice misses Kirito and how she wants to see him again, whoever made the Intro animation did a pretty good job of portreying the meaning of the song, which makes a change since most other studios just fill their intros with Spoilers and action.

It's been confirmed that Alice does not have romantic feelings for Kirito. The people who made the anime just made it up for fanservice/harem.
This song implies to alice and kirito, that sometimes you fall in love with the wrong person at the wrong time and that's actually so tragic. What hurts the most is when they tell you "if only we met first in a different universe" even tho this "other world" isn't it either... This made me cry. Dear God please give happiness to Alice!

I haven't watched this SAO series, TH-cam gave me the recommendation, I listened to it, at first it felt like something that I'd expect from usual Japanese pop song, but 1:04 really hit me and then 2:59, and 4:08 until the end, it's like chinese instrumental, I really like that touch in this song. I like the video too, a girl in the digital forest with that purple digital thingy, the matrix style, and that purple portal. I think I should follow SAO again, I only watched the first and second SAO (Kirito with pointy ears to save Asuna in a cage).
LiSA's songs from the first seasons of SAO were lit as well! She pretty much ignited the SAO Project with her voice!

Every other Sao was trash imo. Sao 3 has such clean animations and the characters are actually developed

not to be an arse, but I think when Eugeo died, it was insinuated that his fluctlight was deleted. This is why you see the people who die evaporate into data. I think it's pretty likely that Eugeo is dead forever.
Now, I could be wrong, but when Eugeo died I don't know if I remember him disappearing like that - as he took shape as a sword which broke - meaning much like Yui, that was saved in a 'physical virtual' object, Eugeo Might be recoverable. But I doubt that they'd do that, for the sake of plot. Personally, I agree with that decision - when Yui came back to life, it sorta removed any feeling of worry from the anime - sometimes it's better to leave things done.
I think Eugeo is still around; dead doesn't necessarily mean gone. He's out there, watching over Kirito.

i remember when i first heard this ending. coming home from school very late, exhausted, sleep-deprived, stressed and feeling empty inside. i switch on my laptop, lie in bed and watch the latest episode of SAO as it releases. strangely enough, i always felt some type of comfort after hearing this ending. the melody feels sad, but somehow it manages to put my heart and mind at ease and make me forget about everything else. Since then, i always play this song everytime i had trouble sleeping or felt stressed. this song will always have a special place in my heart.

This ED evokes a sense of sadness. It may tell a story about a girl who is an AI. And she has an unrequited love with a boy who is human. In the end, this love is not reciprocated but the girl still wishes that the boy will be happy. If we think by this side, it will fit with the relationship between Alice and Kirito.

People don't understand that this isn't about Alice ending up with Kirito. The whole point is that Alice's feelings aren't coded and programmed. Just like Asuna, she loves Kirito as much as she loves her home, sister and Underworld in general. Kirito also loves Alice and he said himself that she is his hope, but not in romantic way. Thus Alice and Asuna never were actually rivals.
If anyone says that loving Alice and her whole ark is basically simping and betraying Asuna, nah fam...
