I've been ordering from JD sports for about 5 years now. Always seem to have a nice stock with decent prices. Randomly walked in my local mall a couple months ago, im not a mall shopper at all, but i needed something right then, and saw that they had turned the finish line into a JD. They're selection was unmatched and they actually had everything in stock. Hands down the best shoe store I've been in...and this is coming from a dedication online shopper who hates malls

I don’t buy everything that comes out but I try to buy what I like. I don’t go overboard spending several hundreds of dollars and I try to strictly purchase retail either in retail stores or outlet centers.

I'm in the UK and grew up with JD stores everywhere, not once have I ever seen a pair of Jordans (other than non-numbered) in any store!

@@fruities86 so if I mentioned Blackpool which is up north why would that indicate I only know London. Bigger cities like London Manchester Birmingham etc have a lot more variety in stores than smaller towns and cities.

@@edjrod29 JD bigger in UK in general not just shoes, JD has way more than foot locker in terms of stock, Yes for shoes you could argue Foot locker hence the word foot being in the name.

I’m in Toronto Canada and seeing JD come over the border and open up so many locations across the GTA Vaughn and Mississauga!! I can see them bringing some more locations and brands to the Canadian market to compete with the couple big boys that are left standing!!! They have amazing products and pricing….even better selection of Nike’s than the mall Nike store locations….so sad!!
Not sure if they are following the acquisition strategy where I am but I do notice JD Sports opening more branded retail stores in Canada lately.
here in baltimore maryland we never called then nike cortez.. they were the project nikes here.. still keep a pair for every summer.....

Wowww I did not know this information. Makes me understand why I use to always go to every shoe store because they had the same shoes or alittle different shoes but low price of the same shoes in different stores and it’s probably because they owned them. Crazy

JD sports is something else in the US. They are what is considered “trashy” in the UK. JD is not a “ go to” store in the UK. So it’s always surprising to see the stock in the US Jd’s

Dtlr was a DMV sneaker store till they expanded and bought Sneaker Villa bka The Villa(A east Pennsylvania based sneaker store) then they put stores in central Jersey then down the east coast
DTLR and villa was also a thing, but now they under the same ☂
They seem like every other shoe store at the mall. The slump in NA was a great way for them to get in cheap.
I haven’t bought a sneaker at the store in years. I’ll be visiting the JD sport at the mall to see if I’ll find something I like. I have a feeling I will. Cool video.

wow i didnt know JD owned FL and SP. Im from the UK, JD always had the best trainers second to footlocker in my opinion. First time I went US I thought Finishline was better than JD and now I know they own them.

Monopoly’s are not good for the customer, JD corners the market then when the sneaker business rebounds they can control prices.

Look at revenue/profit per square meter. More stores, bigger stores alone don't mean much
Retail sales per square (foot) here in the us and I actually do and US sneaker store are not even in the race per square footage 😉

@@devilstrider289 they're already doing that now. If there were no monopolies, prices for everything wouldn't be high at all. They would be low, because there would be competition. But when they've bought out all their competition, they charge obscene prices just because they can.
