Thank you again Auntie Corrie for thes fabs eoisodes. I have looked further to purchase these years to put together some story lines. Great acting to have at hand. Thus episode Jennifer Moss has the look of brooke Vincent. Well i think she does. Lol. Happy days.
Ken and Derdrie got rid of it after Albert died and put up a shelves of MDF. Apparently Beatty wanted to buy it....makes you wonder how they got it into the house to begin with....even in two parts, the back and dresser.
Edward Evans (Lionel Petty) and Alan Rothwell (David Barlow) were in the Gideon’s Way episode ‘The ‘Rhyme And The Reason’ a year earlier in 1964, nice to have seen them reunited in this fine episode.
I wonder if Albert Tatlock was the inspiration for the song "Uncle Albert" by Paul McCartney and Wings. I recall the Beatles spent a lot of days in hotels watching telly, so I would imagine they enjoyed some Corrie whenever they could get it. On a side Beatles note, I always felt Len Fairclough resembled a brawny version of John Lennon. An older brother maybe!
Commander of the British Forces Sir Douglas Haig ordered an attack on Vimy Ridge. From spring 1916, the British had deployed five tunneling companies along the Vimy Ridge and during the first two months of their tenure of the area.
@@happiness4812 The actor that played David wanted to leave but the actress who played Irma wanted to stay hence why they killed David off - Having said the Irma wasnt in it for that much longer - I think the actress didnt like the scripts they had lined up for Irma so she walked and i cant say as i blame her as they were going to have her chasing Elsies husband - the story line taken over by Janet who ended up marrying Ken
Emily explained to gary and Roy years later curly didn't know since he was 2 years old 1965 odd really if they do that in 1998 on his house were he lived rumours Brian perk said killed mr Watts in the house was worried kevin kenndey thanks the lord they kept him untill 2003 ✌️ SU garden
I'm glad that the episodes we have for this era include milestones such as David and Irma getting engaged and the collapse of No. 7.

I love Uncle Alberts dresser. To think people used to burn beautiful furniture like that for not being 'modern'.
And replacing the lovely tall dark fireplaces with devons - e.g. Elisie's.

Great to hear the dialect. It's all but disappearing from Manc these days.
Oh the days when pupils took resits in November..
I'm glad we just had to go an extra year and pass sixteen credits. No provincial exams🍁

Lost me at overtime that isn't paid. Get knotted. My labour isn't free.
Jerry and Len are partners, so there is no overtime, only profit. I do like it that Jerry's thinking of the business.
Not enough trade around for partners, and to make money from a profit.
This is a good one for Albert Tatlock
Uncle Albert
Sorry uncle Albert but you and your mates weren't at Vimy Ridge. It was fought by four division of the Canadian Corps First Army.

The collapse of Number 7
What happened to David Barlow? I know that he died in 1970, but how did it happen?
Itbmurr1 car accident
He emigrated to Australia with Irma and had a son, he and his son died in a car crash and Irma came back for a bit
They do take the good characters away too quickly😢

Canadian here, milk in tea first?
I can’t have milk or ice cream, as allergic.
Joseph and today TV 😀
So unrealistic and naive cinematography. Interesting in social history terms.
David Lean was filming something else that day.........
