Winning Days is a great album. Way underrated...songs like Rainfall, Sun Child, Ride, title track, etc. They really should've been bigger in the states imo.
the vines are an amazing band, each of their record has great tacks, their first two records are pure gold, but also their latest release. Even Melodia which is the worst has some good tunes. Craig continued to write music, his side project white shadows from 10 years ago is nice as well. I think the issue is fame, we should be able to enojy music without putting people on a pedestal or putting so much pressure on them, I am sorry I might never be able to hear them live but I am happy they keep on releasing new music
love the content mate, when u drop a video I start rubbing myself off with a ceravie moisturising lotion and the squishy noise I make complements your commentary, keep up the good work.
Saw them a few times during there first 2 us tours. Criag would break or throw his guitar and scream every song, even during the slow songs. I liked it but most of the crowd wasnt really into it. There bigday out set for the 2002 sums up the stage show. Also the lettermen show
Met Ryan Griffiths on a night out in Coogee Sydney in 2004. Was by myself having a few beers in the Coogee bay hotel before heading to a gig in the city centre to watch Sparta - Supergrass were playing at the CBH. Nice friendly guy. Had a few beers and chatted music and brought up the Nirvana comparisons lol.
They made one great and one very good album but sadly they never really Evolved (pun intended) beyond that sound and that was there downfall (along with Craig’s metal health falling apart ) and you are correct to call NME out who seemingly loved Craig completely spiralling out of control and at times seem to encourage it
@@ab8817 it does because you said they're not indie and I said it doesn't matter if they are or aren't. So not only did you misunderstand but you're genuinely offended in addition, relax, it's not that serious.
@@charliepitt06no way, you are tripping boy. Silverchair have won more arias than any other artists ever. You don't win arias if you ain't making hits.
Love the Vines, Hope they put out more music

Their cover of the Beatles’ I’m only sleeping is 🔥🔥
Been digging back into them and I really love ‘em. Think they’ll get more respect and understanding as the years roll on
Very nice doc there mate. Keep em coming.

You are spot on. I wasn't aware of Craig's side project so will check it out now.
Metal zone is one of my all time favorite songs. the Vines are one of the best bands of all time in my opinion.
Craig has a great ear for melodies, it's a shame they sort of got shunned away from the spotlight after their second album
Shall reign again, Me Nicholls will shine forrever.
Amazing video ❤
Still one of the best albums I’ve ever heard
I agree!
ahh my childhood, id give anything to go back, before apple music etc, when going to record shops was it
Your voice has a very specific cadence
Reminds me of the "Succulent Chinese meal" guy from this video:

Sad as he was only a young guy

It's too bad this wasn't released on April 2nd to celebrate Autie Awareness Day.
My middle name is nirvana and I have Asperger's
Sky gazer❤
they weren't big in the US. solid group though.
Plz the Rapture
Hurstville… affluent😂 wrong!
would love a video about the cribs
I did a video on 'The New Fellas' a few months ago...but will definitely do another soon.
@@indiesleaze didn’t see that will check it out now
There have also been numerous recent murderers that have later been shown to have Aspergers! Certainly no excuse in my eyes.
Y'all trying to steal clout from the indiesleaze Instagram?
Obviously!
I remember all the hype very well. Listening back to it now though, that debut album is bang average. But a good band overall.
this was not an indie band
No they weren’t. They were on a major.
A band doesn't have to be indie or major label or even under any deal at all, they just have to write stellar songs, which the vines did and still do.
@@RedceLL1978 your statement has nothing to do with my comment, but ok

@@RedceLL1978 you make no sense. the video called them an indie band and they're not. did you not watch it
Im still trying to decide what band was worst: These guys or Silverchair?
Both are good Aussie bands of the 90s/00s but silverchair was a bit more of a one hit wonder then the vines who had more hit songs
