Not a negative take just observation right, 3 busted plays were killer, a lot of stupid penalties that saved BC drives. Things that will sink you against better competition for sure. Hopefully they get this all sorted before the bigger games.
I love the highlight of the O-line. The MIZZOU run game looked great. Blake Craig was perfect. The penalties need to get cleaned up but I think there were fewer than last week so that's some progress. Fighting through a game like this against a good BC team is exactly what was needed at this point in the season.
I don't know, I have the opposite feeling as a lot of Mizzou fans I think. There are just way too many things that need to be addressed. The good news is the Tigers really dominated the game; however, the two blown coverages for touchdowns were brutal. Yet again, the penalties piled up and kept BC drives going and ended Mizzou drives. 2nd & 59 ffs... What bothered me most though was Mizzou having the 10 point lead and all the momentum and the offense goes into the tank. Elite teams step on the opponents neck and bury them in that scenario and Mizzou just couldn't get it done. I guess I could look at the game and say, that's a game we could've lost and found a way to win, but all I can think is Mizzou should've won by three scores the way they dominated scrimmage. I just don't think they can overcome all of this against better teams. I'm not sold on this, BC is a good team, crap. Gotta clean this up when Mizzou gets into the SEC schedule.
More frustrated by the offense not finishing the drive when up 10. That 3rd down with Brady being tackled by his own lineman was a special kind of ridiculous. I am sure there were some Sooner fans who enjoyed that one.
Up by 13 with 9 min left in 4th qtr offense seemeed to run plays NOT to score again putting far more preassure on the D then it needed. BC doesnt get the 2 scoring drives without 15 yd penalties to extend each drive. Ofdense was far less impressive.
Not discounting MIZZOUs bonehead penalties, but this was the same crew that officiated Georgia vs Clemson and the penalty distribution is almost an exact mirror image of that game. Both SEC schools were penalized for +80 yards, while both ACC schools were penalized for a total of 15-30 yards
Well, there is quite a bit to break down from this game, but to me the play of the day no question came from one of our Mizzou ROTC officers out in the north end zone….. When Luther decided to take his first touchdown celebration from the student section to The Hill, one of our ROTC members deftly grabbed Luther and redirected him away from the cannon which was about to fire. As any long-time Mizzou fan will know, having that cannon go off right next to one of the greatest wide receivers in the history of our school would have fit in just perfectly with the travails that have gone on in that end zone in its troubled history. Kudos to the Mizzou ROTC crew and what I consider the days’ biggest play!
Granted Luther has to be better in terms of keeping his cool. Ill give that one. But the refs were missing a ton of extra circular activity BC was doing. There were some that Luther was reacting too from BC playeers that simply wasnt called. Also I think we may need to have a real discussion on the passing game. I still think Brady is playing okay. However, I think its totally fair to criticize the fact we only have 2 passing TDs through 3 weeks and we've played Murray State, Buffalo, and Boston College (not exactly a murderers row on defense) especially with this receieving core. Something just for some reason doesnt seem to be clicking (whether it be Kirby, Brady, or even the recievers).
That was a tricky game having to defend the QB. Should've really covered the spread but played sloppy. Time for the head coach to get things fixed. Also the captains and leaders get this team focused play assignment sound ball.
We played around our floor and still beat a ranked opponent that will contend for the ACC. We should expect the secondary to get wiser and Brady to make more of those easy throws. If A&M is still ranked when we play, that'll be our chance to prove we're elite
I'm not worried at all. BC is a good well coached team. Penalties killed us. That series where we went to 2nd & 59 was ridiculous. We had 3 20+ yd plays negated by it. That can be cleaned up. The score is not indicative of the play. 440yds to 298yds of tot off, should be more than a 6 pt win. 35 mins to 25 mins top. UGA should have lost to KEN. That UGA officiating adv needs to be dealt with. I thought you can't advance on a fumble. They got a 1st down w/2 mins left in the game off of that fumble. Is BC at about the same level as KEN? It's very rare that any team blows out every team they face. Our spread was 14.5 & we won by 6, big deal.
Satisfied with the win, and the score didn’t really reflect the game, but penalties and failure to put the game out of reach was frustrating and needs to be fixed. Not to mention that ACC crew was awful. Pride didn’t trip, he was pushed and lost his balance that’s why the receiver was wide open and he couldn’t get there before the ball. An awful blindside block call and defensive pi on Pride was terrible. Cook threw two deep balls, overthrew Burden, and one to Wease that he had to try and catch with one hand because the defender was holding his other hand with no call. Burden’s unsportsmanlike call they missed the BC guy who ripped off his mouth piece first but he still shouldn’t have reacted like he did. SEC crews aren’t exactly known for being good so have to get used to some blown or bogus calls. Game wasn’t really under threat but the late TD made the game look closer than it should have.
@@dave0051 GA has been elite for at least the past three years, but I want to see how they handle Bama and maybe Texas before I decide if they're still up there or not. No matter who you are, you need to prove yourself every year.

I’m gonna keep saying this till the cows come home that Missouri has the best wide receivers in all of college football several NFL caliber and we’re not consistently getting the ball to them. That’s insane.
If you're talking about off to the right.... it's probably the band section. The point you're seeing in the video is probably when they were not yet in the stands (after pre-game), or when they were lining up for their halftime show.
One of the most arrogant statements that gets repeated every year is, "a win is a win." How a team wins, or loses, makes all the difference in the world. Being critical of a team that just beat up a nobody, doesn't mean you don't understand that they won, or that a win is better than a loss. How you win may have a huge impact on the rest of the season. If Mizzou started losing the rest of the way, nobody would give a rat's behind about beating Boston college.
#9 pushed off of Pride. The sort of thing you like for your team but hate when it happens to your team. Have to have more disciplined coverage and clean up the undisciplined penalties. Missouri has come a long way in terms of playing a "C" game and beating a top 25 team. A "C" game won't win many more remaining on the schedule however.
Are you serious with this dunk attempt? I said was NOT worried about Blake Craig all offseason because he'll be fine! That's a W for me. You are totally overrating Mevis and underrating the replacement level of kickers in the SEC/Mizzou.
@LockedOnMizzou I love Craig. I've always thought he would be good. I actually think he may end up being more consistent than Meevis. Dude was a 5 star Kohls kicker, ranked #2 in his class. I posted that awhile ago. I was just saying that kickers win games, quite often.

John this isn’t supposed to be the old Mizzou who are happy to just beat a ranked opponent. I’m sure that’s not the program they want to be. A win isn't a win anymore. Yeah Mizzou won but Tennessee won bigger so they moved ahead. Do you think Oregon and their fan base were happy about barely beating Boise State? No because they moved in ranking. The mentality is different for a perennial top ten and this program can be that in this landscape. You call anyone who has criticism of Mizzou and specifically Brady Cook a hater. Some maybe. Some of us love this school and believe that the tools at hand are capable of much more. And personally I’m sick of opposing fanbase's disrespect of this program. They are a few plays away from that respect this year. Deep balls. Some stupid penalties. Valid criticisms. All of us want this program to succeed and when we don't see that we can have concerns voice them and not be haters. I think you need to take central scrutinizer off of your intro.
