As a Clemson fan I think Va Tech has a good chance of winning I was hopping this would be 7-1 or 8-0 teams coming into this game sad to say that is defiantly not the case. My reason on Va tech has a chance is because our defense could not stop anybody from rushing the ball and you have a great RB and a good/severable QB. Our defense plays like they do not need a protective cup if you get my drift. Paying these "student" athletes and for them not to show up is frustrating for fan, If I worked like they have played at times this season including last week I would have been fired but since there are no rules anymore these players have no reason to show up anymore.
Gio meant to say that Tech has not beaten a ranked team in Lane Stadium since the 2021 UNC game. What's even crazier is that Tech has only played against one ranked team in Lane Stadium since that game (2021 Notre Dame).
To add to that, that covers 18 games in-between home games vs ranked teams. That is the longest stretch since 29 home games between 1982-1986 ('82 #13 WVU, '87 #10 Clemson).
Credit to Dabo and the Clemson team, though....my understanding is that they are doing things within the rules and don't recruit portal kids before they actually enter the portal (unlike other big NIL schools that use the portal heavily).

Vegas adjusted the line accordingly and it is now Clemson -4.5 & M/L +185.. one thing that everyone always is when everyone is on one side of a sporting event is wrong... give me Tech 17-14.

Just a note: Tulane was ranked 23rd (AP) when VT beat them in the bowl game in December.

If we win out, it might salvage the season. I’m not that hopeful …. It’ll Probably come down to UVA for a bowl. Duke looked pretty good against Miami.
