I was really pleasantly surprised by this one, especially as I didn’t like Strikers. Glad it’s actually turned out to be good, I’m 10 hours in and really impressed by how tight the game design is.
No no no. Just make a new game we have way too many spinoffs of persona. Not only that it only delays the new persona releases by at least 3-5 years everytime just so they can milk their latest game to death. I'd rather have had persona 6 now and new fresh ideas honestly.
@@merciless972 I know that but they are clearly taking their sweet time on purpose to milk the persona franchise. There's a huge difference between the release of P3 and P4 and P4/P5 and P5/P6. It's not just that the games are bigger or whatever it's intended to make money and it sucks. Especially when they end up rushing SMT5 and sacrificing it in the end for no good reason.
@@sombrego2260 there's delays for different reasons. But none have been for "milking". one major delay for persona 5 was because they redid the whole story. They even scrapped one of the main characters, and changed her to a confidant side character instead, hifumi.

I know the DLC has the Royal characters, but I also know they do not show up in the main story. Are they refenced at least? I just want to know which version to play before playing Tactica.
best ds game, strange journey and radiant historia are equally good. i play ds on my phone with an emulator and ps4 controller, with a mount that attaches my phone to the controller, turning my phone into an amazing portable gaming machine. i actually played through xenosaga episode 1 for ps2 on my phone not long ago. it ran perfectly, i couldn't believe it. it drained the battery absurdly fast, but it was worth it to replay one of my favorite games. i need to get a new, more powerful phone so maybe i can replay some games my phone can't quite handle, like xenosaga 2 and 3 for ps2 and skies of arcadia for dreamcast.
TRUE. PLEASE. I NEED THAT SO MUCH. I hope they can take this gameplay style and put it on other smt games. Can you imagine a devil summoner game where you maragion a parked car to take out cover?
If anything it means they won't do a DS3, otherwise why do an SRPG at all and have it not be DS3? I'm glad the game turned out good but I won't touch it out of spite. I'm not rewarding Atlus for any more Persona milking, I want PS2/DS Atlus back with their varied as hell lineup of games.
The main thing I dislike about the Persona series is the lack of freedom. Like, sometimes I want to grind a bit, rest and come back for something. But you can't rest in the games I've played without advancing the story time. Is this game like that as well, or can I have a place to heal?

So this is more of a bite-sized Persona 5 spin-off game, right? I shouldn't be expecting a complex narrative and deep RPG systems like P5 Royal and Strikers had?
Eh? I'd say you'll probably have an RPG system with more depth here then Strikers. I do think Strikers will beat this out for having a more interesting narrative.
Like thousands of others, I've never played a Persona game before but am super excited for P5T because of the TTRPG gameplay - while we all would have preferred Devil Survivor 3, this is as close as we're going to get and it looks amazing!
Honestly persona strikers should have been the last entry. Luckily were getting a persona 3 remake in the style of 5, which I haven't played. Looking forward to this story. Though.
I honestly have a hard time playing the original games becuz the models for the girls are so frickin hot. When I see the chibi version I don’t get turned on becuz my brain and morals don’t associate it when sexy stuff. I can finally finish a persona game 😅
I enjoyed P5 and P5 strikers. I love fire emblem. But i really thought the combat on this game was way to basic. If your overly familiar with Tactical games, this over simplicity and lack of challenge may bore you.
Question: do I need to have completed persona 5 royal before I play this? I heard it's advisable to finish p5 before playing strikers so wondering if it's the same in this case.
It's probably best to beat at least the main Persona 5 story before playing this game(the third semester in Royal not being necessary, but it's recommended you beat that as well). While I'm sure that this game works well on its own, it'll probably be like strikers where they'll already assume the player is familiar with the characters, the setting, and the premise.
It seems similar to Strikers. That one did have sincere moments, but also a lot of fan service sillyness and bloated dialogue. The newer characters in Strikers were the highlight in that game with the main cast not getting much relevant development, and it seems similar here as well
I think I agree moreso with the IGN review on this one. Its just a worse (but still serviceable) version of P5 Royal with different combat and art style. Which was exactly my opinion of Strikers after beating that one In a year thats packed with so many good games, I think I'm gonna skip on this one.
