Definitely overwhelmed in the Epilepsy world. It can be a tough place sometimes. Others that are going through it, I'm sure you understand.
There are tough things sometimes and dark things when it comes to life...one of which is, suicidal thoughts. Do people want to talk about them? No. Does it need to be discussed? Yes. It's a tough thing in life, but it happens with people, especially if they have depression. It's definitely not an easy thing.

Thinking of you and pulling for you over here. My fiance has epilepsy and was just watching with me and he was nodding along with everything you were saying. I hate that you're stuck in the house and I can imagine how frustrating that is. Keep your head up. Hopefully something happens soon and you get what you need. Big hugs.

Hi Mandy. I'm a new subscriber to your channel, I saw my fiance watching you and it was like I was listening to my life story. I've had VNS, it didnt work. I had the WADA test and all the other tests before surgery. They told me I wasnt a candidate for surgery. I've been on every anti-seizure med there is, and here's a positive note: There are people out here that understand your journey, and your courage and strength amazes me. There. :) Feel free to contact me, hopefully I can be of help!

@SoxHeather Thank you. I really appreciate it. I know I kinda ramble on in my videos, but sometimes it's like therapy for me. I don't wanna be a debbie downer all the time, so doing it this way, with me and a camera is pretty cool for me to do and get out my thoughts. I hope your fiance is doing well and staying strong ;) Big hugs to you too!

Thanks Kayla. I really appreciate your feedback. I am definitely gonna have to try something. We have some healthier stuff in the fridge. I will start eating more of it. I go to see my nurse practitioner on Aug 14th. I will ask her about the other drug. I am on a pretty strong amount of the trazodone. Coming off of it is gonna be hell, but I can do it ;) Thanks again for the advice. I love you!

Hey love, I would recommend switching from trazodone to (ask your doc about) Mirtazapine 15 mg...I tried taking those at night(only 1/2), I had no bad side effects, I feel well rested in the morning & no nausea/ grogginess.
As far as the operation goes I support you on whatever you & your doctor decide.
And to boost your mood I recommend trying to eat more fruits, veggies, & protein...plan out your meals ahead in a planner allrecipes site has great/easy ideas
    Plus, incorporate exercise..yoga

@Thepersian4d4l Nice to meet you! Happy you can identify with me. It really is hard. You know you have your up days, but then you also have your down days...and the down days are really rough. I haven't had the WADA test yet. My doc already said I shouldn't do it, but I am just curious. So, what is your next step? Just curious. Are you jumping from med to med like me?

@Taryn Goodrich How do you feel Tegretol worked for you? I've been on mine for several years as well.

    Hi
May I know what is the cause for your epilepsy ?
I think you should decrease the dose of Ritalin and trazadone as both can decrease your seizure threshold just like other antidepressants . To avoid drug induced epilepsy start with low dose and adjust the dose gradually.
Have you tried several combination of anti epileptics for your seizures ? What AED have you been put on ?
Is vns helping with the depression and epilepsy now ?
