I wondered how Stromae could meet and/or exceed his 2nd record (Racine Carré), but he has done it again. Mind blowing.

This video/song is a tribute to sexworkers. First he sings from the point of view of a client, then a pimp and last a police. In the chorus he sings from the point of view of a son of a sexworker.

I've been a fan of Stromae's since his first album Cheese was released, then I watched his Leçons, his innovative TH-cam videos that made him a worldwide superstar almost overnight. He is the biggest superstar the US and Britain are barely aware of. His second album, Racine Carrée, was perfection especially the staging he designed for that concert tour. I often watch the entire concert from Montreal, professionally filmed by his brother Luc and free on TH-cam. I missed him so much that I spent last year rewatching all his interviews, videos and that spectacular concert in Montreal. When a countdown clock appeared last Oct 15, I was shocked and overwhelmed with gratitude that he was finally back. Multitude is a stunning album, but this video, which Stromae described as his most ambitious to date, and was filmed on an extremely frigid day, is truly mind-blowing. For a full explanation he does a track by track explanation for each song. So far videos are available for three of the songs on the album. So watch out for more. They appear without much warning, just a countdown clock on his TH-cam channel. It's about time English speaking countries paid him attention. He blows everyone away. He's also such a charismatic, honest and truly humble person with a winning personality that you can't help but love. The three verses are from different points of view 1. The client (or John), 2. The pimp and 3. The cop. The chorus is the sex worker's son talking about his mother. Thanks for your review. Great to see.

Stromae IS a master of his craft. Who uses harpsichord in a modern song??? Great song. Always showing respect to his "characters" in the songs. Stromae likes to right wrongs (well at least put the limelight on them). And he does it to amazing beat and music. A truly unique artist. A pleasure for us spectators.

He's very popular outside the English speaking world. English speaking people mostly live in a bubble. They know very little about anything else

The single's title is Multitude because of the multiple musical influences (of divers countries and cultures) and characters. The brasilian influence+clavecin... Who would suppose it's possible...

Please react to the new version of My Funny Valentine by Angelina Jordan, released February 14. This is perhaps her best vocal perfomance to date, in my opinión th-cam.com/video/bWiLOnHJYxg/w-d-xo.html
