We are a part of Samaritan, too….for MANY years! It has been a huge blessing. I remember a moment, when our youngest son was going through a lot of medical tests..trying to figure out why he was so sick…we rec’d one of our checks with the sweetest notes from their 8 yr old son, addressed to our son, stating he was praying for him & drew a cute picture for him❤
Oh yes… the notes are such a priceless part of it!! 💕

Samaritans purse came in after our tornado hit up the neighborhood and stated goodness almost a month after everyone else left and made sure everyone’s needs were met! We had a lot of people come to Christ through the witnessing of all the volunteers and they were the most sweet and genuine people ❤ I always heard of them but never seen them

We loved SMI the years we were with them. Our 6th-8th babies were the only ones 100% covered bc we were with SMI, so thankful for the prayers and cards we got too.

It's great to hear the bleed is healing! My mind is always blown when I hear about the medical costs in the US. My midwife in Canada had hospital privileges so no one but my midwives and husband were in the room and I went home 3 hours after birth and it cost me nothing out of pocket.
We do pay it in our taxes though. Our healthcare in Canada isn’t free.
@@valerieleblanc8066 of course, but not having a big out of pocket bill is such a relief.
Your taxes are higher but my families yearly out of pocket costs are soooo high. Our insurance pays nothing until $8000 and then we still pay 40% until we reach our out of pocket max. It’s so expensive we just don’t go unless it’s an emergency.
I was on Samaritan until I turned 65 last year and went on Medicare. The members shared all of expenses from 6 different heart procedures after a heart attack in 2019 - over $500,000 after discounts! I can not recommend them enough.

Muscle loss is *real* and I know! I have a disability (w/ extreme nerve pain) and there was a time before decent pain management, where I was in bed 24/7: my goodness is all I can say. And even to this day, I have far less activity than a normal person, which, my upper legs are just not that big anymore (that's the biggest muscle right there). Also... My mother broke her foot November 2022 (5H in the ER!) and she healed for 8 months on the couch, pretty much. After about halfway into it she got this huge ski-boot, kind of a Robocop part in essence LOL, and she could move here and there with that on, but it was a nasty break and it took its good time. She could not believe it. Her leg was so thin just from less activity for all this time; it happens very, very fast! I am glad that you're feeling much better these days. Have a happy rest of your pregnancy & have a safe and "swift" delivery! You guys are truly blessed. This one seems like almost a miracle baby.

My family and I are on state medical assistance. It works out better for us because we can't afford any extra monthly bills.
Samaritan ministries sounds interesting, but it's not something we can afford. My husband is the sole provider and his income is barely enough to pay the basic bills for our family of 10. It's hard to afford everyone. Fortunately for me, I can't get pregnant anymore. It makes life a bit easier because pregnancy was always difficult for me. I had lots of problems with pregnancies. The only problem I didn't have was the hemorrhage that you were discussing. I had to give birth in the hospital every time because I was unable to go into labour on my own. I had to have an induction every time. I had dysfunctional labours with all 8 of them.
PTL for answered prayer and you can enjoy the last trimester of this pregnancy. Thanks for sharing about Samaritan Ministries. I have seen advertisements for them but didn't know how their program worked. I also enjoyed seeing the photo of Lydia on the rug. ;)

Look up nora tea. Great for taking in the last trimester of pregnancy. Nora stands for nettle,oat grass,rasberryleaf, alfalfa.
I do the raspberry and nettle but haven’t heard of oat grass. I’ll check that out.
I specifically want to pray a blessing over you today for your faithfulness to share that medical opportunity. I have good insurance, but as you say the copays and deductibles are rather high now a days. in 2022 my medical bills were over 232,0000 and my cost to me ended up only being about $2500 out of all that. This past year was not near as much but still the insurance premiums and deductibles were with in reason, considering they have not refused treatment no matter what it was. But I have a people in my christian community that do not have insurance so it will be a blessing to know the information. I am not a regular viewer right now because of what is happening in my own life, but so glad I watched right away today to see how good you are looking.

Hi Julie, I am so glad to hear the great update about the bleeding. The LORD is SOOO GOOD and thank you so much for sharing the Samaritan Ministries. I will pass this information along to my beautiful daughter as she does have insurance through her employer, but a Christian alternative is always good to look into given the climate of the world we are living in, and I feel that is the way the LORD always wanted it to be. Yes, we are to go out into the world to share the marvelous news of JESUS CHRIST and HIM CRUCIFIED but he has gifted his saints with many gifts and talents he expects us to use and that will be a great provision to the saints so that we don't always have to look to the world for help, jobs, stores etc. Have a Beautiful weekend with your family and please please don't overdo it with too much activity.

😂😂, I chuckled when you said you thought maybe you was going through menopause. When i got pregnant with our last baby, I was 42 yrs old. My monthly stopped and I was getting the worst hot flashes. I thought for sure it was menopause. My husband said nope, I'm betting you're pregnant. I said there is no way...low and behold, I was pregnant. 😂😂😂😂 Never thought we would have another baby in our 40s but YAHUAH had other plans for us. We definitely live by the Lord's Will. ❤ She is a huge blessing and down right spoiled by her older brother's.

So great that you had a good medical report. My Swedish immigrant grandmother was a midwife. I’ve done a lot of research - genealogy as well as non-family members who lived in Norway and found there was a really high rate of mothers who died during childbirth in years’ past - and recently it was in the news that a famous athlete’s wife died of childbirth. My husband’s aunt hemorrhaged. My own daughter would have died without 3 C-Sections, the last being a still born. She must have had undiagnosed what you have with her first in that she bled in her first few weeks. I had a forceps baby with my first or I wouldn’t have made it had I not been in a hospital and a C-Section was a 2nd option. He was a month overdue and in distress when he was born. I know you are more comfortable with home births, but since you are a high risk, I don’t mean to scare you, but I hope that any sign of an indication of distress, please do not wait to go in - call an ambulance or meet the ambulance if necessary so they can administer fluids. You need to think of your life, the life of your baby, and your other 10 children needing a mother. I am holistic as well, but if I hadn’t recently gotten medical care I had refused but relented to, I would have died. I disagree with many things in the medical community, but they when they are needed it’s important to turn to them for their expertise and technology.

I’m glad everything is looking good now! What herbals with high vitamin D do you use? I can’t find one without synthetics in it! Also do you have your birth story for #7? We just found out we’re expecting #7 and this will be my 6th homebirth but it’s always reassuring and comforting hearing stories from moms who have done it! ❤

What do you eat during pregnancy to stay healthy? I’m pregnant with number 10 but find it hard to not gain a whole bunch of weight that I have to lose later. Obviously each body is different, but I’d love to hear what you do.
We eat fresh whole foods as much as possible, the only bread products we consume are homemade sourdough recipes, also lots of quality meat and fats from our own animals. Water is my main beverage, or raw milk from our cow. We rarely eat sweets unless we make them ourselves using honey or raw sugar.
Basically just real food that we make from scratch ourselves.
My weakness is chocolate! So I just don’t have it in the house 😂 We get it once in awhile as a treat.

Does Samaritan’s cover functional medicine or integrative medicine doctors?
Yes they would if there is a need. We took our daughter to a naturopathic doctor and they covered that plus testing for food allergies. My friend also submitted chiropractic care costs while she was pregnant.
They just don’t cover “well checkups” or preventative care.
